hello, i had my tree cut down because it was leaning tooooo far to the right and eventually was going to fall towards my garage. The tree service company that cut it down said that when they finish grinding down the tree stump it will create mulch and i can use it for my yard within 2 weeks. im not sure if its good idea knowing that that tree had some termites and spiders all around when they cut it down. i may just have some delivered. does mulch darken up? i have light tan
True hardwood mulch will loose color over time from the sun. If the tree was infested with insects I would wait til you go through several freeze and thaw cycles and turn mulch as needed before applying to landscape beds. Best of luck and please let us know if you have any further questions!
