Love Mitch Weissman. Great Paul. He's a righty who taught himself to be a lefty bass player when he got the Paul part in Beatlemania. Great story of him bumping into John Lennon in front of the Dakota in 79. John said that Julian had caught the show and gave rave reviews especially on Mitch and then he signed something for him. Kind of funny that John's giving "Paul" his autograph. I bet Lennon got a kick out of that. He also met Ringo out in LA and Ringo said "I know the REAL one"!
Thanks for putting this up... I am always looking for Beatles related stuff... Mitch Rocks here... AAAAAAHHHHHH.... I love this... I used to have this on tape till the Damn machine ate it.....
now...is this guy supposed to be playing paul BEFORE he died or is this guy pretending to be the imposter paul...LOL sorry ...I been watching too much of the Rotten Apple videos
Pretty cool having Mitch Weissman of BEATLEMANIA to guest star.
When Happy Days debut, it took place in the mid 50's and by the series finale, it ended somewhere in 1964 or 1965.
Laverne & Shirley--a spin off from Happy Days--took place in the late 50's...However, L&S series was more "rapid" in the sense where each season took place in another year, ending in 1967. Joannie & Chachi must of taken place in 1964 because of the reference of the Beatles and their hit I Want To Hold Your Hand"
There is an old saying everyone should learn(including Madonna): Don't publicize your relationship or love life with your co-star if it was not going to last at all. And trust me. In the papers, Erin and Scott were everywhere.
he looked so much like paul omg...BEATLEGASM!

In other words, according to that last scene, he really was Paul?

Mitch Weissman also resembles Peter Brady.

Hey I loved the end scene ! Take care, James

I loved this because Mitch was a true Paul in Beatlemania...saw him twice in the 80s....excellent portrayal of Paul....

the entire show was supposed to be set in 1964
but everyone looked like it was 1983.
pachacutti 1 year ago
It's suppose to be 1964, but Scott and Erin have 80's hair and clothes... pathetic.
Still it was cool that they did a "Beatle" episode.

This episode was written explicitely for Mitch.

I think it's cute...it kind of showed that they were different.

Maybe Joani loved Chachi, but when this series started I suddenly hated them both.

I still love them both...they're so sweet, esp. Chachi's big brown eyes.

gigi4487 3 years ago
the song was probably chosen for the show because it's probably what most people associate the Beatles with....
stringsrichie 3 years ago 2
Which is kinda sad, because "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" is by far the lamest well-known Beatles song.
jdlund 2 years ago
Why "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"? That was mostly John's song. One of the songs in which Paul sang lead would have made more sense.
Avilos 3 years ago
That's true and there's a perfectly good explanation for that because Mitch told me but I can't remember what he told me to save my soul!

Was it something to do with the music rights?
