i recon it's played in a very concert band-ish way with it's typical tone colour. maybe if each phrase started off slow and sped up it would give a more gypsey/folky feel. at the moment it's just like any other band (i should know because i've performed like this all my life, it's a bad habbit).

slow...but its a youth band, and lucky they were decent enough to play the song. my orchestra sucked ass and i was so mad because i was so ahead of them

We played this song for my High School band. BAND--as in no strings--and we did just find. I play the Baritone, a low brass instrument and my part was very far on the easy side. Thse guys did great though.

The strings did really well for a youth orchestra.

The percussion could've done better. But overall, it's a really good performance. ^^
