@MrDenLew Do you know why they put out blueprints instead of simply selling the machines? Because there are loop holes in the law that allow people to sell blueprints to machines that don't work with out going to prison for fraud like they would if they sold machines that don't work. Also if you buy a machine and it does not work then obviously the seller is at fault but if you buy a blueprint and the machine you build does not work the seller can just claim that you made a mistake.
BUT it works by storing energy in the rotating flywheels (which will take time to speed up), this energy then being released when a load, ie. powertools, are used, thus slowing down the flywheels. They then need more electrical energy to reach full speed again. It's OK for intermittent loads, but is certainly not free energy, and comes with a cost in efficiency.
Let's see, he says it's a gift to the world, that he doesn't want to profit from it. Yet, he provides no blueprints, parts list, or assembly instructions for the general population to use for replication at the home level.

I believe you can make a device that can convert magnet energy to electrical energy.
If you take a permanent magnet motor and a permanent magnet alternator it becomes a device that converts magnet power into electrical energy that we can use to power our homes.

Easier and makes more sense to use a transformer. If anything produces more output than its input take away the mains supply after its started and loop it. None of these Free Power machines do this.

Power is measured in watts, which is voltage x current. Nothing on this video suggests that he's getting more power out of the machine than is going into it.

The inventor may not be crazy, he simply does not understand basic physics. He may be able to pull more power than is being put in for a short time, but that is because of stored energy in his large pulleys, which act as flywheels. If he were to check overall input and output power he would find that he is actually losing power in the transfer. You can't get something for nothing. Free energy has been a pipe dream since Edison invented the light bulb.

@TheNewVideos You have to understand that perpetual motion claims are a dime a dozen and a lot of them are debunked before they even stand to be tested. Sometimes the "inventor" may not purposely try to lay false claims but they misunderstand the physics behind what they've created. Besides, if his device can create more power than it takes, why does he need to plug it into the outlet? Make it run purely on it's own power (and then some), then he has some credentials to be verified.

For those who never took thermal physics, in our universe perpetual motion machines (and free energy) are impossible.

Good comment. My physics professor had similar stories, he refered to them as "nutters in their garages" that come up with these crazy ideas and don't have any concept of conservation of energy and non-conservative forces which render these things impossible and useless.
Isn't it interesting that we are not shown any proof of getting more out that putting in? Of course anyone can drive a 3.5kW generator with a 800W motor but he will only get out 800W minus mechanical losses. The generator's rating gives its maximum power output when loaded fully, not what you get at any time when it is rotating. Perpetual motion is imposible and has been since the dawn of time.

The idea that Chas and others like him have in this particular video seems feasable. One motor running another motor with a higher output and running it back again, the heavy flywheel would serve as an energy store so that the motor driving it isn't suddenly slowed down when the load is applied on the generator. 800w motor that drives 3.5kw generator gives 2700w left free, if you keep 700 watts as a buffer then that leaves you with at least 2000 watts of free usable energy.

The point of any logical question as to if it can produce more power than is put in, is why wouldn't you be able to turn it on with grid power, then switch it over to run on it's own power once up to speed?

He says you can generate anything up to 10times free power but he says he can produce a megawatt using 50hp. 50hp is like 37,300watts times 10 is 373,000watt.

you people are so blinded by what the reporter is saying that you are missing what this man is saying. He is saying that you can get "FREE ENERGY"! Youtube doubters understand something, free energy does NOT mean you get energy from NOTHING, simply more energy out than you put in. That is what this man and many others have done.
He has spun up some flywheels thereby storing kinetic energy as angular momentum. You don't notice the flywheels 'slowing' down as he only uses the electrical devices in relatively short bursts (drilling a hole, cutting a beam).
The apparent extra energy is initially stored during the 'windup', as you can see in the video (watch the flywheels speed up)and then between drilling holes etc.
But that still dosen't mean its an over unity machine. You can get more electrical energy going out then you are putting in sure but the energy within the flywheels is accounting for the rest of the input. The output is not going to exceed the input.
Actually,HITACHI, the Japanese company has recently made an over unity electric motor. It's on thier homepage. I guess the trick is in how efficient we can run things, how can we capture the energy lost, store it, then divert it back to turn a fly wheel. Small pulses of power into the flywheel and more power generated by the alternator the flywheel is attached to. Pulsed power capacitor bank? Wrap the coils on the alternator with another winding to capture back EMF?

1 thing that is always mistaken.....electricity power with " energy "
Simple machine that uses gear ratios to multiply the revolutions the motor makes compared to what the generator makes.
I am sure he could simplify this machine more and even attach many more generators to increase the output.
If doubt this machine can produce more electricity, " not energy " , then it uses ....I suggest you learn about gear ratios.
Then build one to test yourself.

it is like a gear system where one rotation of one gear leads to like four rotations of the other gear
an example of over unity is a motor that for one rotation consumes about 50 volts
and it is attached to the gear system which is attached to a generator that produces about 50 volts every 2 rotations so for every 50 volts consumed 50 volts are produced in excess and if you put 10 sets of gear systems in then you produce from a consumption of 50 volts and excess of 524,238 volts (Just a theory)

The inventor may not be crazy, he simply does not understand basic physics. He may be able to pull more power than is being put in for a short time, but that is because of stored energy in his large pulleys, which act as flywheels. If he were to check overall input and output power he would find that he is actually losing power in the transfer. You can't get something for nothing. Free energy has been a pipe dream since Edison invented the light bulb.

@TheNewVideos You have to understand that perpetual motion claims are a dime a dozen and a lot of them are debunked before they even stand to be tested. Sometimes the "inventor" may not purposely try to lay false claims but they misunderstand the physics behind what they've created. Besides, if his device can create more power than it takes, why does he need to plug it into the outlet? Make it run purely on it's own power (and then some), then he has some credentials to be verified.

When I took thermal physics our professor told us that crackpots were always e-mailing him about their perpetual motion machines. He got these e-mails pretty regularly, maybe one or two a week.
For those who never took thermal physics, in our universe perpetual motion machines (and free energy) are impossible.
I'm just surprised that a news organization took one of these nutjobs seriously. Actually, with journalism the way it is today, I'm not that surprised.

Isn't it interesting that we are not shown any proof of getting more out that putting in? Of course anyone can drive a 3.5kW generator with a 800W motor but he will only get out 800W minus mechanical losses. The generator's rating gives its maximum power output when loaded fully, not what you get at any time when it is rotating. Perpetual motion is imposible and has been since the dawn of time.

The idea that Chas and others like him have in this particular video seems feasable. One motor running another motor with a higher output and running it back again, the heavy flywheel would serve as an energy store so that the motor driving it isn't suddenly slowed down when the load is applied on the generator. 800w motor that drives 3.5kw generator gives 2700w left free, if you keep 700 watts as a buffer then that leaves you with at least 2000 watts of free usable energy.

Doh, look at the recent news, no one wants to sign up for the climate change reviews, and according to timesonline yesterday most of the countries involved are just "taking notes". UK and USA governments have to be seen to be doing something, it doesn't mean that they will. And even if they do agree on FREE energy and invest millions getting it to work it will never be free for the public and they'll no doubt make it illegal to have your own generator unless you pay tax to them for having it.

The point of any logical question as to if it can produce more power than is put in, is why wouldn't you be able to turn it on with grid power, then switch it over to run on it's own power once up to speed?

it might work because weight = energy too.. you are not creating any new energy you are just transfering weight energy from the spinning wheels (mechinal energy) to torque which turns the generator..

IF it REALLY produces more energy than it USES, then he SHOULD be able to, once device is running full speed, flip a switch diverting some of the produced power back to power the system, and COMPLETELY REMOVE the outside power source.

He has spun up some flywheels thereby storing kinetic energy as angular momentum. You don't notice the flywheels 'slowing' down as he only uses the electrical devices in relatively short bursts (drilling a hole, cutting a beam).
The apparent extra energy is initially stored during the 'windup', as you can see in the video (watch the flywheels speed up)and then between drilling holes etc.

if its infinite power, unplug the initial motor and plug the output of the device into itself. SHould work perfectly!

Yes, nice work and continue doing what U do, but how this will work if U cannect something powerfull to alternator? I guess it may stop, or not?

But that still dosen't mean its an over unity machine. You can get more electrical energy going out then you are putting in sure but the energy within the flywheels is accounting for the rest of the input. The output is not going to exceed the input.

I understand how it works.
He's just using the power in those flywheels to generate the electricity.
Sure it can put out 3500w from an 800w motor but as has been said, how long for? Not long I'd guess?

Actually,HITACHI, the Japanese company has recently made an over unity electric motor. It's on thier homepage. I guess the trick is in how efficient we can run things, how can we capture the energy lost, store it, then divert it back to turn a fly wheel. Small pulses of power into the flywheel and more power generated by the alternator the flywheel is attached to. Pulsed power capacitor bank? Wrap the coils on the alternator with another winding to capture back EMF?
