  • Can I use vanilla powder and chocolate syrup instead?

  • @bloodydeath808 If you like. I like to encourage people to experiment and create their own. xx

  • You are good at life! Thank you. Blessings

  • Be careful, coconut milk is extremely high in fat, so be sure to go for a 30 to 40 min walk or do some gardening, or whatever it is to keep the body moving. Any activity after consuming coconut milk will help with the liver actively break down the fat and turning it into energy. Otherwise it'll store as fat and start clogging up the veins around your body including your heart and brain

  • @jusitke07 From what I've read on coconut fat, it's actually good for the liver. Coconut oil has medium chain fatty acids which are awesome for the body. Besides, I used a young coconut here. The more mature the coconut, the more oil/fat it has in it. I highly recommend reading up on coconut oil. It's amazing stuff! xx

  • @jusitke07 I dare you to substantiate the claim that fat makes you fat. This is the no. 1 myth of the 20th century.

  • Our dog used to ADORE coconut flesh too (but the young coconut)! Sadly we had to put him to sleep at only 10 month old. He'd also 'fight' me for bananas & mangoes!!

  • @pinkbeam I'm so sorry about your puppy. We lost our dog to ticks this year. My daughter misses her dreadfully. We loved her to pieces. xx

  • ممتاز very good

  • shall i give some cocount to my dog? oO

    nice video :D

  • @Fadwa666 I dont' see why not. I used to give my dog coconut and pulp all the time. She loved coconut so much she'd drop her bone and come running when she heard me cracking open a coconut! Have a great day. xx

  • Can you use cheese cloth to strain it instead of that nut bag thingy?

  • @mealchan

cheese cloth, nut milk bag, butter muslin or cut up a very clean white pillow case (wash with non-scented detergent)

  • Great video! Thank you! I'm going to try to make some yummy coconut milk this week.

    LOVE the music, too! :D

  • @izzybear305 Enjoy! Have a great day. xxx

  • Great recipe. I would've grated the coconut though; less stress on the blender.

  • @pfrancisquini Yes, with a lesser blender so would I. Or at least have chopped it into smaller pieces. But the Vitamix can handle it. It's tougher than tough! xx

  • I love the way Aroyd brand makes their coconut milk! I'm gonna try this out n see if I can get the right texture and flavor as the brand I use.

  • @xoticLezPride It's so much nicer fresh. I've never tried or heard of the brand you mention, but good luck! xx

  • @RawPleasureAustralia I'll definitely try it your way sometime this weekend, thank you, oox

  • @rainbowdash09 Hehe! Thank you. xxx

  • Very Informative what music is that ?

  • @HerbSmoulder Thank you. Thank you to The Twine for the permission to use their music in our videos. This song is called Hoedown and is from their awesome CD 'Granma'. You can check them out here with their channel 'thetwinemusic' or at their website which is in the Show More section (click link below vid). It won't let me post the link here.

  • Thanks for the info, i actually would love to make the recipe. I just didnt enjoy the music and the car rumbling sounds, it almost made me not watch the whole video.

  • @shaunny0208 You're welcome Shaunny. Thanks for the feedback. Some people love them and some don't. Can't please everyone! Please feel free to lower the volume if you watch it again. Then you can play your own music to go with it! xx

  • Very Helpful. Do you think you could substitute real milk for the water?

  • @77alnel You probably could but I have no idea how it would taste. We don't drink milk at all. Sorry! xx

  • @77alnel You probably could but I have no idea how it would taste. We don't drink milk at all. Sorry! xx

  • Holy SHIP! I just looked up the calories in this stuff and it's A TON, 445 calories a CUP of the milk, that's about 3x as much as regular whole milk. I think I'll pass and make the shake as a treat instead. Anyone on any kind of lower-calorie diet should too.

  • Wow, the firs time I've seen someone just use an unstripped vanilla bean like that LOL

  • @JTuesday777 I love using vanilla this way. Why waste it? You can also use the pod to infuse other things. Add it to a jug of juice for example. Awesome!

Also, check out coconut oil benefits on facebook. Coconut oil/fat is quite different from other oils. A friend of mine started a coconut milk ice-cream company after losing a bunch of weight using coconut oil and milk daily.

    xx

  • @RawPleasureAustralia Also coconut milk doesn't made this way doesn't have the risks involved that modern day, homogenised, pasteurised, bastardised dairy has. If you take milk from a cow, and damage it the way modern dairy has been and then feed it to that cow's calf, the calf will die within a few months. I'd rather the coconut milk fat any day! But each to their own. xxx

  • Can I use dry shredded coconut instead of fresh coconut flesh?

  • @mariam191991 I've never tried it. You could definitely give it a go. You might want to soak the shredded stuff in the water before blending though. I would! xx

  • Thanks for that video...I need it the info and you made it funny..

  • @pyly220 You're welcome! I'm glad it gave you a giggle. xx

  • nice video...

    I didnt know making coconut

    milk was so easy :-))

  • @AKIYIAKELLY Amazing isn't it? Delicious too! xx

  • Love your video! Been making coconut milk for a long time. I used to make a gallon at a time, now I do one coconut and make enough for a day!

  • @teridene Impressive! It tastes so amazing doesn't it? I have been having nut milk again for awhile. I might have to order me in some coconuts! xx

  • Whoops, I just removed a comment accidentally! MURGAPTF wrote:

A good blender is a big bonus for this recipe. xxx

  • whats the name of the blender you used?

  • @chuky247 In that video I'm using a Vitamix. I've also used the Semak Vitacrush and it worked equally well. xx

  • I'm searching around for videos on how to cook young coconut (the hardened pulp before it hollows out), and to get rid of that bitter taste to it. I totally forgot about it. ;_; I tried sauteing it with cinnamon and honey, and I still get that bitter taste. >:U

    Any suggestions?

  • @Dinker27 Sorry hon no. We eat our foods raw. I've never experienced a bitter taste with the young coconut flesh. I hope you get it sorted. xx

  • @RawPleasureAustralia I kinda did; a lot of honey, water, and a bit of almond extract.

  • realy nice, thank u

  • @reshu151 :) Thank you too. xx

  • Very funny video.

Do you know how long raw coconut milk keeps in the fridge?

  • @crudivor Thank you! I don't know sorry. :( I've kept some here, just to test, for up to 4 days and it was fine. xx

  • awesome video...love the hi energy music!!

  • Squeeee!

  • @thexbigxgreen Hahaha! Squeeeee indeed! xx

  • @RawPleasureAustralia I'm totally going to integrate that into my everyday expressions... "Hey, how's it going?" "Squeeeee!" Haha thank you for that

  • @thexbigxgreen You're welcome! It's one of my favourite happy words. It's polar opposite is 'squick' which is used in place of 'ewwww'. LOL. xx

  • Great vid, Great recipe and Great music. Keep on doooin it :)

  • @JASMINA357 Haha! Yeah I love it. xx

  • @tunerLT You're welcome! xx

  • i would have actually enjoyed this if it were not so cheesy.

might try this some day though, i certainly do love coconut milk in my coffee and for a vegetable curry.

  • @denikaos well I hope you enjoy it more than you enjoyed the vid when you do! xx

  • cook it into a lamb curry yummy : }

  • @siothurn You could do that if you wish. Not really what I would eat but each to their own. Enjoy! xx

  • Yummo !!! Is that a Vitamix blender?

  • Yes that's a vitamix. It's the 3HP which we don't sell anymore. It's too noisy and the 2HP does the same job. We're looking forward to getting the new Vitamix very soon. Yay! xx

  • I hope u are planning to make some more videos :)

  • We certainly are! Thank you... xx

  • What a great fun video!! Thanks Jenny x

  • thank you for watching and also for your comment. xx

  • Can you use the same recipe with a young coconut as well. Thanks!

  • To make coconut milk from a young coconut, blend the water and flesh. It will taste different to the mature coconut milk but definitely yummy! Then make the chocolate smoothie the same way. xx

  • @RawPleasureAustralia Thank you so very much!!

  • are the brown hairy coconuts different from the young Thai ones?

  • Yes. The young thai ones are the babies and the brown hairies are the grown ups. The babies start out full of jelly. The jelly starts to solidify around the edges of the shell and turns to yummy sweet/salty liquid in the middle. As the coconut matures the 'meat' at the edge thickens like what is in the video. xx

  • Thanks Jennie! Loved it!

I've always wondered how to make coconut milk :) x Veronica

  • And now you know. It's delicious! I hope you enjoy making it. xx

  • Yummy....Thanks...I'm off to get a coconut too!!

  • It is yummy. Very nice blended with banana and vanilla too. mmmmm... xx

  • Ha cool, I'm off to buy a coconut! :-)

  • Looks like coconut sales are going to explode! xx
