I plan to buy one of these and Velcro it to the side of my laptop. Then, while driving, I'll Velcro it to the dashboard to show my laptop's GPS map as a HUD on the windshield. What would really rock my socks is a wireless connection for this device.
So from what ive heard is that you can't plug it into a computer and prject things through there? Because i would really love to play games and stuff on it. I have also heard you can buy an adapter for it to use it on the computer, you know anything about this?
What pocket projectors have you seen with a built in vcr?
Anyhow, because display devices are not required to be updated regularly. Wouldn't it make more sense to keep the playback device and projector separate?
Like if you had bought a projector with HdDVD Built in, and then HdDVD dies and we are left with BluRay.
Well, if you feel like carrying an external bluray player in your pocket, along with the pocket projector then why don't you go ahead and do that. You really don't seem to get it. Why not just buy a normal cheap-end projector for the 300$? much more lumens and better resolution.
yea, but it's better to have a device that can survive on it's own BUT also can use an external video source. Like the projector from aiptek. but if you want to go with the optoma then that's of course fine...
It sounds like h3nkku works for a rival company that's developing a big clunky Bluray player with a built-in conventional lamp projector, and he's about to lose his job because Optoma is about to put them out of business.
does it have a nice quality picture?

The 2h battery life is a big plus but this device is totally helpless without a second device providing video for it to project.
h3nkku 3 years ago
Um, don't most projectors need something to "provide" video?
neosurrealist 3 years ago
yes they do and that's what I'm saying.

...but for a pocket projector it's pretty essential to have te ability to survive "on it's own"

Survive on their own without a video source?

Yes? What do you want to carry around? 1 device or 2 devices and a cable?

Just think about your hypothetical entertainment system. TV and Playstation 3.
If you want a better gaming console you upgrade to Playstation 5. You don't need to replace your TV.
All in one devices never seem to do all of the functions well, just some functions half assed.

dil650 3 years ago
It has a better picture quality than the aiptek, but does it have a memory card slot and power point support?

What is the cost? UK release date? Does it come with a tripod or anything?
