It's sad; I felt bad for her when this first happened. Even though I disagree with her views completely, I feel they never should have asked her that question if they didn't want an honest answer that they might not necessarily have agreed with. But now she's gotten this whole martyrdom complex, and I'm losing a lot of sympathy. Still, I can't help but worry that those who criticized her for this played a role in breeding resentment from the right and making her into the figure she is today.
