you will have to find the magic pellet at 30 feet. you have to balance the weight of the pellet to the air pressure present. with a short barrel on a talon p, you had better stay with 20 feet.
@Mr Harry: Hello there, for the Beeman 21 grain pellet the power is around 55 FPE or 75 Joules. Other than that great videos! Keep 'em coming!
One question please, if you don't mind, what would be your recommendation of a PCP airgun (.22 or bigger) that would be less than 220 mps (or 720 fps)? That's the limitation of what airguns you're allowed to buy in my country if you're not in a sport club, so I'd like your take on that, please. It can be something configurable, no problem.
@phantomBike If you are getting 55 fpe that is great... every air rifle is different- each has its own personality. A .22 PCP that is less than 720 fps with what pellet and what air pressure?
No no, sorry for misunderstanding, I'm not getting 55 fpe from that, I just remade the calculation using your numbers from the movie for the Beeman 21 grains pellet: 21 * 1094 * 1094 / 450250 goes at about 55-56 fpe.
Regarding the question: doesn't matter the pellet, though I'd prefer some heavier ones (for yard hunting - metal/wood shapes ). Regarding the air pressure I'm not sure what to say, not experimented enough, sorry :-).
Thanks for your vids and for any advice you might have!
thoose jsbs and those rws pellets are too light for that high power pcp,u didnt test the accuracy at range u just did that at very short range... pathetic.
@1dirteharry Not sure. I hade a spring-piston when i was younger and i remember the trigger being a little stiff. Do PCP rifles tend to have better triggers?
Glad to see someone who knows that every arm is different in that it will like a certain pellet and weight there of. To many believe that the arm is inaccurate because the pellet they are using does not hold a tight group. As with any arm be it firearms or airguns, the pellet must match the arm and the only way to find out which is to try different types and weights. Good video, keep it up.
@MrAirgunlover In that case the only other way I see it is buid your own(I know not the best choice) there's a bunch of how to buid aiguns in this site. Question though, so in Australia you need a license for ANY airgun or just the stronger ones (like U.K's 12 foot pounds limit) because if that's the case, then brother I recommend coming to America(shouldn't be hard for you guys) Here the opposite is true; airguns are mostly considered almost toys you supposed to give up in your late teens.
WTF? What type of friends you have? Shit the only thing that even crosses my mind now is to get an immigrant(or some other money hungry person) to get it. I've done something similar..But not for airguns.. I don't know the constitution there but just know when government restricts weapons...It's NOT for public safety but for control. BTW I've bee to Australia and things there are actually more expensive than here(U.S.A) so I imagine that translates to weapons too.
Damn, that sucks, man. The only thing I can think of is have somebody get one for you and if somehow they have a system where they monitor who has what, the guy you get it from should say 'it got stolen'.
Why can't you have one? Can't you import one. This is a real cool air rifle. I've shot it before but still, much too expensive although I might buy one in the next few years..maybe.
Sounds like a reay
