This song makes me cry each time I hear it, it's so beautiful. I've just seen the film, and what a brilliant song with which to end! Heartbreaking, and wonderful, and loving and sweet, and all the things which made the movie, and indeed the lives of Victoria and Albert, great.
Okay, I'm not British and I don't really know much of the history. But I just wonder reading through the comments here. If Queen Victoria was called 'Famine Queen' by Irish people (and is hated even now), how come Sinéad sang this song? Btw, I love this song so much and the film as well!

I watch this movie often. It shows that the royals can truly love. It was her son Edward who caused his parents problems. It was when he was over in Ireland attending school, that once again causing a 'Stir', that Albert who was sick at the time, went over there to bring him home. Albert was so weak on returning he couldn't fight it. Queen Victoria after that couldn't look at Edward the same.
One of Edwards mistresses was Camillia's (Who is now married to Charles) great, great grandmother. WOW!
I actually adore this film and this song is so beautiful. It breaks my heart every time I watch it to think that Queen Victoria and Prince Albert never got to grow old together like they wanted. She had to live another 40 years without him after he died. I can't even imagine how much she must have missed him xx

I am reading the biography of the Russian Emperor. Alexandra the Empress ( killed with her husband and 4 children) was Victoria's niece and she was so fond of her grand-mother even when she was older; so I suppose Victoria has been a good queen. It's not an easy task. I suggest you to read serious biographies. It's so interesting!

This is one of the most beautiful songs. It makes you fall in love all over again.So beautiful, and if you listen to the words closely, it comes from Victorias heart straight to Alberts. The movie should be watched, it is that good !!!

The song is so powerful, i am french and i didn't know much about Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, the movie is great emily blunt and rupert friend are perfect in theirs roles. Does anyone know where i can buy Sinead o connor song? It's not avalaible on i tunes in france.
