the producer thing is all about their drum sound, and its signature when the right guy does it. i think with the band, tho, its more chemical than that. i think sometimes they are on the same wavelength and sometimes they are not, judging by the youtubes. i seen them live in dalaware oncet, years ago. we were the only people there. its one of my favoritest shows ever.

@ReadFig ahh kids...from whence did soundgarden come would you say? did they just sprout onto the airwaves? or did they spend YEARS in the underground scene and then by HAPPENSTANCE were discovered?
I assume by your comments that you think the production on Mezcal Head is better than that on Raise. I have to disagree. There's something much more artistic about the sound of Raise. Raise has much more depth to it, while Mezcal Head sounds harsh in comparison. Raise sounds different depending on whether you're listening to it on vinyl vs headphones, where you stand in the room etc. Mezcal Head is almost monotonic and the sound gets boring after a few songs.
no way, the sound on mezcal is heaps more polished than on raise. In fact I think raise gets boring due to the underproduction, the tinny guitars are replaced by nice trebley sounds on mezcal.
You've been away for sooooo long
