Gannett's station in Macon Georgia is not in HD. And I would be surprised if WMAZ offered newscasts in HD anytime soon (as of Oct 2009)

tower v.3 is the best on wxia before gannett changed the graphics and music. the the new graphics and music is so awsome.

Will WXIA follow its sister stations owned by Gannett with the new graphics/news music package?

They did, and it's a huge step down. WXIA used to commission its own "Alive" music package. The Gannett package is terrible, and not at all of the caliber of a Top 10 market.

tower v.3 we use that here in columbia,sc @ wis-tv but just for promos. we use tower v.1 v.2 for our openings. awsome video.

WIS used to use its own "In the Spirit of Carolina" theme in its news music which I thought had a lot more character than the generic Tower that every mid-market TV station uses. Another step down.

This is a Gannett gimick ... KUSA in Denver does this as well. "Colorado's First and ONLY Local News presented in high definition". I believe most Gannett stations are in HD now, or are well on their way.

Using TOWER V3. same as sister WKYC. but WKYC just changed there graphics from the orignal HD graphics they had when they went HD in May of 06
