  • • Hello. I am new to grape growing. I planted in late May three sticks and now 6 vines (2 from each) are about 10-12 feet long. I would like them to go along my sundeck (10 ft high). Vines already climbed up to the sundeck and started moving along. In 2 months it will be freezing here in Pennsylvania. When should I stop the vines' growth (prune them)? They still need another 7-10 ft to go along the sundeck.

What should I do to make my grapes not only the decoration pieces but also productive?

  • Those black grapes look awesome...

  • how many varity that grapes have?

  • i have a question. where are the males at in your videos? or are those males and females bearing fruit?? i have a male and female muscadine vine which are only a about 3-4 feet long at the most and i was told the male doesnt bear fruit it only pollinates the female but if i prune him will he still be able to grow back in time to pollinate the female???? anyone please feel free to help me!

Grapevines are self pollinators. They don't require insects to do the jobby, only wind. Omerican varieties are the same as the Euro, Vinifera varieties in that regard. google grapevine propagation and that will set you straight

  • Nice harvest !
