Also, look at how there is still a morality lesson worked into the show..how can that be all bad for kids? Oh..yeah..candy makes you fat and Garfield turns off Binky the Clown for promoting physical fitness so I suppose he is not a positive role model. *eyeroll and head shake* Glad I grew up when I did...this is always a favourite.

i miss my mom so much and this reminds me so much of her! i remember her siiting by the old school knob tv watching this every halloween. I guess every.... to me means like 5 halloweens since this halloween special came out when i was 3 but i didn't really remember it until i was 7. Cancer killed my mom and destroyedher life and mine...............it's been 19 years and i miss my mom so much..........i was 9 when she died and will never forget her.

@bhk110 i can totally relate. i started watching this special with my mama when it first was broadcast in 1985! it became a yearly tradition for us. i now own it on dvd. i lost my ma in 2004, while i was already 34 it still took a terrible toll on me. not a day goes by that i dont think of her. ive got many dvds of shows we watched together, it keeps those memories alive. you should do the same. so sorry for your loss. god bless and be well.

I always will remember her at halloween and I even wore one of her halloween sweaters tonight and I can swear it still smells like her a bit..I miss her tons but in a way I think shes still around.
