  • smoking is the HARDEST thing to quit...OMG...I have been having such a bad time with it :{ I quit and start up again....grrrrr. YOU QUIT, don't start again hunny...it's so icky! Congrats on the wl so far, you are doing amazing!!!! Take care, Caprice

  • honey i had the same sugery and the doctors here say that smoking will put a hole in the pouch... and that smoking was deadly for me now...i quit the day before surgery and i crave one all the time but i fight it....i wish you the best of luck

  • you are not a dodo head ! hehe but hunny congrats on all the weight youve lost so far!!!

  • Way to go on the weight loss!! Yeah for you!

  • I had a rny 3 weeks ago. I tried to quit smoking many times prior to the surgery, but in the end I quit the day prior to my surgery.I would love to smoke, BUT there are too many reasons not to: most importantly because I did this for my health- although I currently have no issues, I wanted to stop them before they started. Also, smoking signifigantly increases your risk for developing gastric ulcers, even without smoking they are are a huge concern, and ulcers mean bleeding internally.not good.

  • 57 in 5 weeks, i wish that was me!

  • I quit smoking about a year and a half ago, it was easy that time, because I was not able to breathe anymore. It is such a hard addiction. You look great by the way! :)

  • I smoked for 13 years, and they told me to had to be smoke free for 3 months BEFORE gastric bypass surgery. I'm 3 weeks out (almost 4) and I've been craving cigarettes again. But the ONLY 2 things that are keeping me from smoking are... The fact that the price went WAY up and I've saved SOOO much money since I quit... and #2, I know when I start excersizing hardcore, I'm gonna wanna be smokefree to be able to breathe better!! So, it's just exactly HOW BAD do you want to actually be HEALTHY??

  • Im strugglin with the idea of not eatting and then not smoking. I quit 7 months ago, but is it KILLING ME!

The only way to quit is Cold Turkey!

My surgeon wont do the surgery if you smoke... so I have quit but I keep thinking about smoking after Lmao... Its BAD!

  • NO!!! Don't do it girl. I have been trying to quit for so long. I have quit several times and I keep starting back up. So far it's been 2 days for me with NO CIGARETTES. I smoked menthol lights and I'm telling you it seems harder to quit menthol because not only do I missing the smoking but I miss the menthol. We have to quit. For me because I want the surgery (I'm pre-op) and I sure has hell not going to start back up afterwords. GET AND STAY HEALTHY!! So I know what your going through :-)
