I would like to play like that :) But the recording is not adapted or is it because of the instrument. The sound is too bright and lack of spatiality.

Excellent !! I have a question for you,i play the violin and i heard that the mandolin has the same tuning and notations as the violin ,i want to play mandolin ,will it be easy for me to master it?

@egydiver Thanks! Mandolin has same tuning and notation as violin yes...I suppose the left hand technique would be easy for you...but using a plectrum could take some work. I don't know. I've never played violin, so not sure how different they are! Give it a go.

@egydiver i play both violin and mandolin, ive played violin for about 4 years and mandolin for 1 1/2 year, and i have became really good on mandolin(not bragging, just telling facts:-) what you will have to work with a little is that the mandolin strings have quite a lot more tension so you need to press them slightly harder than violin strings, but what you will have to work the most with is the picking technique. it is obviously not impossible though, with some spirit and will: go for it!! :D

@egydiver I play both mandolin and violin. Using a pick is a little tricky to master, but you get used to it fairly quickly. There are also some very small differences in the left hand technique, but nothing major. Overall, the transition is very easy and definitely worth it!

You do a damn fine job of playing the second movement. Now, post the rest of it! I love this piece of music - much better than that damn thing he wrote in C - RV 425. There is another concerto in C that he wrote but I can't find it here. Much better that RV425.

While you're at it, check out the second movement of RV558. It's a great mando concerto, the second movement is wonderful as are the first and third. I had it on cassette years ago and lost the tape. Been trying to find it since, but located it hear by trial and error. Okay, I like RV425, but it is SO over used. Every marketing depart and ad agency lately seems to have RV425 on the brain. Looking forward to hearing the rest of this concerto from you!
