  • This song makes me wanna punch someone in the face

    REALLY HARD!!!!!

    LOUDNESS!!!

  • the good oldschool metal !

  • pretty bad ass, too bad I never heard of these guys until last night

  • I did not know that the Japanese could rock until I saw this video. I've played it about a zillion times.

  • Love it but it's not very loud for LOUDNESS!

  • These guys were a lot tighter and sounded better than many "SUNSET STRIP BANDS" in the '80's!!!!

  • @turbinexman very tight live

    ROCK ON!!!!

  • This video proves to me the universal traits of Glam Rock/Metal: BIG HAIR, outrageous outfits, killer guitar. YEAH

  • me encanta temasooo!!

  • akira is my fav evh clone EVER!!! most under rated guitarist on earth!!!

  • YMZA

  • Great fucking song. This is metal!

  • LOUNDNESS I STILL FUCKIN LOVE THIS BAND! MIKE IN TALLY

  • very good.

  • Funny you(xadiko69) because the first time I seen them was the Theater of Pain tour w/the crue. Loudness was so much better! The drummer(I don't remember his name,R.I.P.) was so much better than Tommy Lee. He had a 10 minute drum solo(unheard of back then for an opening act) and he kicked ass! He had so many drums and played them all, even walking around his set on the outside playing them! They were the best opening act i've ever seen!

  • Awesome song. This band was sooooooooo underrated in the US it is sad to say because they are such a great band I have been a fan since 1986 and I still am. LONG LIVE LOUDNESS \m/

  • @dasaintsman5121 americans didnt like this band cause they were from japan and to their so close americans minds they didnt had the american look they werent blondes like motley crue ratt type anyways this band its amazing and their music still intact !

  • @xadiko69 I'm american. I loved this whole album. I wore the tape out in my car. I introduced it to my friends back then and they all loved it too. Later on on brought them the EZO tape and we jammed to that one for months also. I don't care where the band came from if they kicked ass like this, I supported them

  • @live2win100 Totally agree.

  • They were the first Japanese heavy metal act signed to a major label in the United States, releasing twenty-three studio albums (five in America) by the end of 2009 and reaching the Billboard Top 100.....

  • MZA .... METAL , ZEBRA PANTS AND AKIRA !!??

  • Love the drums and guitar licks, excellent!!

  • Loudness was a great band. So much better than many of the American bands at the time.

  • I like this song

  • This is a MONSTER metal song in EVERY respect! Akira was AMAZING, and then some!

  • These guys sounded so much better than a lot of the "Hair Metal" bands on the "SUNSET STRIP" in the '80's!!!! These guys were tight and they "KICKED ASS"!!!!

  • A severely underrated and underappreciated act! Japanese metal at it's finest!

  • @d14d the best guitar tone ever, plenty of mids

  • I've heard of LOUDNESS for years and years, but I'm only now just hearing them. They're better than most of the American bands of the Big Hair 80's. LOUDNESS is really great!

  • They are so hot. :D

  • 昔、このアルバム散々聴いたなあ。

  • Akira Takasaki ftw!

  • Marshall stacks. Zebra spandex. Big hair. Ahh, brings me back. The 80's kicked ass. What I remember of them, heh. Good fucking times.

  • monstrous riff!!

  • Comment removed

  • its like M.S.G

  • WOCK N WOLL CWAZY NIGHT YOU ARE DA HEWWOOOOOO!

  • akira is a fkn badass, one of the best of his era

  • my brother went to this tour(Lance O'Briant) in Ogden,Utah and the drummer did a one handed solo!

  • Hhahahahahaha !! EGGS ANG STEAK !!! never heard that one !! hahahaha

almost piss my pants !!!! Good song though !!

  • Man if I ever go on stage with my band I should dress up exactly like that singer!

  • @steelwizard So please let´s start a band right now , ´cause that´s the way i dress

  • Rock and Roll Crazy Boots

  • what kinda bass is that and how are those pick ups set up?

  • I think it sounds better in MY version...not MZA...but "HATE SEEN HATE!!!!" and....give the proper NAZI salute when u sing it! Listen to HAMMERFALL's cover of this and see what I mean.

    HH!

  • MZA MZA MZA

  • I always thought they were just saying Hey! Hey! Hey!, but because of watching this video they're saying MZA. Awesome rock n roll anthem.

  • It saddens me that this is their most famous song in America. Even Akira hated this song.

  • @qwerty123123ify Yes,while it is true that Akira disliked this song it was the first tune that gave the band International recognition. Let It Go from their next album Lightning Strikes(1986)was the only other worldwide hit. But what is more sinful is that Akira-the founding member of the band-allowed Lead singer Minoru Niihara to be fired after the bands 1988 EP release of Jealousy on the recommendation of idiot producer Max Norman. Big mistake! Then they totally lost the Japan & US fan base!

  • I remember this song back in the day. The only one I heard by them that I know of.ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!

  • we going to wok and woll you!!

  • @23chopperrob lol! welease bwian!!!

  • MZA! - The truth about it`s origin in this song. During the pre-video recording production, both the head musical engineer & video director wanted vocals for audio testing during practice. The end of the song originally was all instruments with a no vocals fade off. They instructed the lead singer(Niihara) to just say something for audio testing purposes. He sang MZA. MZA sounded so cool in the testing it was actually added as an afterthought in the actual recorded video. Strange but true!

  • U AR Deh Heewo!

  • dood is almost hidden by the monitors...

  • nunk pense k estos ksms eran chinos .. xDDDDDDD .. xvr la rola

  • Niiice!!

  • now.. this is fucking BADASSSSS!!!!!! \m/

  • MZA = Motherfuckin' Zany Asians. That's my guess

  • Japan gave the world two irreplacable gifts in 1985, the NES and this band.

What the hell does MZA stand for anyway?

  • @Ironhawk86 MZA is a rock n roll club in Japan.

  • @cumofo Well now I know. I was starting to think it was meaningless like that "Guten Liten Louten Loben" at the start of Rock of Ages.

  • @Ironhawk86 That's what I wanna know! M Z A!!

  • @Ironhawk86

MZA stands for nothing. The guitarist admitted they made it up because it sounded cool in the studio. He was right.

  • @Ironhawk86 My Zitty Ass?

  • @Ironhawk86

MZA = "my zebra ass" look at the bass players pants. true story.

  • "Actually it does not have any meaning. When we were doing pre-production for the Thunder in the East album, I did not have any lyrics for Crazy Night then, so I sung total nonsense as a guide vocal for the demo recording. I sung 'M.Z.A.' by accident and the producer Max Norman liked the line, even though that did not have any meaning. We were trying to create some cool line but we could not beat 'MZA.' Max ended up deciding to use 'M.Z.A.' for the real take.

  • @Ironhawk86 MZA doesn't stand for anything. It was lyric filler, sounded cool at the time.

  • i just saw these guys two weeks ago at the token lounge in Detroit fuckin michigan!!!!! Hell yeah

  • these guys rock then and the still rock out

  • currently touring the states, everybody should go.

  • what does M z a stand for?

  • @wavular i think "m" is for the bassist's name and the "z a" stands for "zebra ass", due to his pants.

  • Its nice that they havn't stopped rocking since they began in 81'

  • Akira Tagasaki, is that this guitarists name? He shredded, one of the best from the era.

  • @kbit70 Akira Takasaki, yes.

  • Classic butt rock cheese. Wock n woll quazy nights.

  • you come to see the rhow were we going wock n wolloo

  • What the H did "M - Z - A!" stand for?! ha ha ha... People of Japan you have my sincere hopes to you that you will rebuild/recover. FB "Rockaholics Unite"! - DTM

  • Classic still to this day. they are gonna be touring America this year make sure to go and show your support.

  • WOCK N WOLL !

  • This guy, Jake E Lee, and Malmsteen before the late 80's, all great Guitarist.

  • I still like this song.

They still have fans in the countries.

    Not only Japan.

  • Lock and loll clazy nights!!!

  • These guys all look like serial killer Richard Ramirez, who was caught around the same time as this video was made.

  • Japanese Metal, 1985. What where some other Japanese metal bands?

  • @TheStutteringPrick Vow Wow and EZO

  • @TheStutteringPrick Japan X

  • omg i love these japs

  • Why didn't they just say Crazy Night instead of MZA. It would've worked out and not been retarded. That said this is still a badass song and lyrics were never really the most important when it came to badass metal.

  • @snakekramer My Zebra Ass!

  • to bad all the amps are not on

  • Saw these guys in 85 when they opened for Motley Crue in New York and they were f**king amazing!

  • @WeedVulva

    No doubt!

  • @illusionfreak IF YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR THE ALBUM ?? BECAUSE I BOUGHT IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT & IT'S IN ALMOST MINT CONDITION. THANK YOU !!! :)

  • TANK YOU ROCK AGRAIN

  • seen this band open for motley crue in 85' in philly.....long ago!

  • way back in 1987 my big hair band did this & we'd sing it "Ends in A......................... "

no one noticed, no one cared, good times had by all

Let it Go, also a really cool tune.

also dug EZO, some really cool stuff there too.

  • bump

  • VICTORY MY FRIENDS........VICTORY!!!!!

  • i bought this lp(yeah really vinyl)in 85.i became a fan,and still iam fan.in finland their have couple single hit.but thunder in the east was the album were their noticed first in here.

  • Saw this music video on VH1 classic and became a fan of the band.If Loudness truly succeeded in the US,they would've been the first Japanese band to become internatiol stars. And would've have paved the way for other Japanese rock bands.

  • @megagalva82 They were pretty popular among USA metal fans for a while. This was their only hit, sadly, but it's just as cool now as it was over 25 years ago. Hammerfall recorded quite a faithful cover of it, too. I'll have to buy the CD on which this Loudness classic originally appeared and see if they had any other tracks as good as this one.

  • MZA - More Suzuki Automation!!

  • @SamTheHammer fukk yeah

  • EGGS ANG STEAK!!

  • From what I have heard it does not mean anything. It just sounds good in english.

  • @davepuls Metal Sludge once asked their vocalist what MZA stood for... he replied '... My Zebra Ass!' --- LOL!

  • @davepuls Don't you mean Engrish?

  • Can anyone tell me what MZA means?

  • @sirroxalot The singer used to say it stood for "My Zebra Ass", but he later revealed that is means nothing.

They needed a line for the song and used MZA in pre-production always intending to rewrite that part for the actual recording, but when it came time to write in the studio, they couldn't come up with anything, so MZA stayed.

  • M Z A! M Z A! M Z A! M Z A! M Z A! M Z A!
