Funny you(xadiko69) because the first time I seen them was the Theater of Pain tour w/the crue. Loudness was so much better! The drummer(I don't remember his name,R.I.P.) was so much better than Tommy Lee. He had a 10 minute drum solo(unheard of back then for an opening act) and he kicked ass! He had so many drums and played them all, even walking around his set on the outside playing them! They were the best opening act i've ever seen!
Awesome song. This band was sooooooooo underrated in the US it is sad to say because they are such a great band I have been a fan since 1986 and I still am. LONG LIVE LOUDNESS \m/
@dasaintsman5121 americans didnt like this band cause they were from japan and to their so close americans minds they didnt had the american look they werent blondes like motley crue ratt type anyways this band its amazing and their music still intact !
@xadiko69 I'm american. I loved this whole album. I wore the tape out in my car. I introduced it to my friends back then and they all loved it too. Later on on brought them the EZO tape and we jammed to that one for months also. I don't care where the band came from if they kicked ass like this, I supported them
They were the first Japanese heavy metal act signed to a major label in the United States, releasing twenty-three studio albums (five in America) by the end of 2009 and reaching the Billboard Top 100.....
These guys sounded so much better than a lot of the "Hair Metal" bands on the "SUNSET STRIP" in the '80's!!!! These guys were tight and they "KICKED ASS"!!!!
I've heard of LOUDNESS for years and years, but I'm only now just hearing them. They're better than most of the American bands of the Big Hair 80's. LOUDNESS is really great!
I think it sounds better in MY version...not MZA...but "HATE SEEN HATE!!!!" and....give the proper NAZI salute when u sing it! Listen to HAMMERFALL's cover of this and see what I mean.
@qwerty123123ify Yes,while it is true that Akira disliked this song it was the first tune that gave the band International recognition. Let It Go from their next album Lightning Strikes(1986)was the only other worldwide hit. But what is more sinful is that Akira-the founding member of the band-allowed Lead singer Minoru Niihara to be fired after the bands 1988 EP release of Jealousy on the recommendation of idiot producer Max Norman. Big mistake! Then they totally lost the Japan & US fan base!
MZA! - The truth about it`s origin in this song. During the pre-video recording production, both the head musical engineer & video director wanted vocals for audio testing during practice. The end of the song originally was all instruments with a no vocals fade off. They instructed the lead singer(Niihara) to just say something for audio testing purposes. He sang MZA. MZA sounded so cool in the testing it was actually added as an afterthought in the actual recorded video. Strange but true!
"Actually it does not have any meaning. When we were doing pre-production for the Thunder in the East album, I did not have any lyrics for Crazy Night then, so I sung total nonsense as a guide vocal for the demo recording. I sung 'M.Z.A.' by accident and the producer Max Norman liked the line, even though that did not have any meaning. We were trying to create some cool line but we could not beat 'MZA.' Max ended up deciding to use 'M.Z.A.' for the real take.
What the H did "M - Z - A!" stand for?! ha ha ha... People of Japan you have my sincere hopes to you that you will rebuild/recover. FB "Rockaholics Unite"! - DTM
Why didn't they just say Crazy Night instead of MZA. It would've worked out and not been retarded. That said this is still a badass song and lyrics were never really the most important when it came to badass metal.

Hammerfall recorded quite a faithful cover of it, too. I'll have to buy the CD on which this Loudness classic originally appeared and see if they had any other tracks as good as this one.
