  • Very good mama!!

  • Hey! Great voice!

Want to cover Broken Hearted People with me? Or The Ballad of Leverne and Captain Flint? I live in Austin.

  • Excellent version! I've seen Guy do this and also Townes. Your rendition is just as damn good! Thanks for posting!

  • Guy himself would bow down to your soulful voice and rendition of his work...great to hear a woman's take on this one...very nice!

  • Brought tears to my eyes!! I love this song and you cover it beautifully!!!

  • Impressive......how far are you from NC?

  • love this song...great job..I'd like to hear you do this on a studio track..saved it to my real player, please do some more ...

  • I really enjoyed your version of Guy's song. You have a great voice and plenty of soul!

  • Great Job. You cuttin' a demo? I collect amaeture music if they sell it to me. You got a very beautiful voice and you did a great job singing one of the best songs ever written. If you are pursuing godspeed. I am good at singing the song but one of these days I am gonna learn to play the guitar. It was a good past time deployed in the military.

  • I'm a guitarist and singer also and just got the lyrics and learned this song. You inspired me. It was actually difficult to get the right number of counts down for each chord and where the changes occur. I think that's one of the things that makes the tune so good. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • Really great.

  • if you covered "no lonesome tune" by townes van zandt, id be that much more in love with you

  • Well done! He likes his tequila does Guy.

  • your beauty is equil to your music talent,What an excellent job! Can I hire you to sing at my wedding? All i need is the bride, any takers? Awesome Job Hun!!

  • Amazing :) thank you!

  • i wana fuk you

  • ..Karen Carpenter had the most beautiful voice I ever heard. Joni Mitchell was my favorite singer, with Joan Baez not far behind. Those are obviously voices from the past, this stunning and wonderful singer is the future. I don't know what else you do besides sing, but pack that in and sing, sing, sing! Go get it! Have you ever sang Leaving on a Jet Plane? Life imitates art, I am sure it will come to pass. Peace..

  • Steve and Steve from Michigan simply say; Thank you-

  • great cover of a great song kuddos

  • i speak without reservation from what i know and who i am. i do so with the understanding that all people should have the right to offer their voice to the chorus whether the result is harmony or dissonance, the worldsong is a colorless dirge without the differences that distinguish us, and it is that difference which should be celebrated not condemned. should any part of my music offend you, please do not close your ears to it. just take what you can use and go on.

  • @carmen655 Excellent version! I've heard this song many times live by Guy Clark and you do it very well!! Thanks for sharing it.

  • @carmen655 ...wow..me too

  • @carmen655 ...wow..me too

  • Although its a hard adjustment to listen to such a beautiful voice sing about mad dog margaritas, rolling cigarettes, and the shakes... I really don't care... because I'm having trouble deciding what is more beautiful... her or the way the she sings...

  • Well done!

  • Would love to hear you do 'I Must Be In A Good Place Now' by Bobby Charles! Nice work on DB....

  • i love you.

  • very nice - great job.

  • Great cover of a great song by a beautiful woman. Really pretty eyes, too, wish I saw more of them.

  • Such a great song.. and you did an amazing cover. Thank you.

  • Great voice! Marvelous performance! Wonderful song selection. You can't do better than Guy Clark!

  • You kind of look like a cracked out bitch, and when you roll your eyes, thats kinda cunty too.

  • @billylastnight u sorta sound like a little bitch who wasn't loved when he was a child so he takes it out on perfectly nice people who have more talent then he could ever have...but thats just my opinion.

  • @luckyrabbitfoot101 And you sound like a total yam bag that was touched one too many times in your extra special no-no spot by an uncle growing up, who now feels the misguided need to vindicate sub-par “artists” on youtube. But that’s just my opinion.

  • @billylastnight Wow, you got issues. Who the fuck are you to judge? This is a girl who likes a song and wanted to share, obviously not trying to get famous and here you are talkin shit. Everyone else enjoys it so fuck off. Too bad we're not in a bar....

  • @pappymcdamnit Ya too bad, because you would'nt do a fucking thing.

  • Best cover of this song Ive ever heard ... very nice great voice for this song.

  • Wonderful song, let's cut it :)

  • It's not in drop d. It's actually in E with an upside down capo on the second fret leaving the E string open.

  • Very nice touching

  • You are and sing just like sunshine; warm and nurturing. You can see it , you can feel it, you just cant hold it. You are such an angel. I wish you were in Texas.

  • this is art a great painting of this song thanks

  • this is a great rendition of my fav song of all time, can i suggest you drop the low E to D ,this will let your guitar sing as sweet & nice as you do

Well one, from Dublin we say hi

  • it is in drop d :)

  • @crgnyc

so why arent you playing the G with your thumb on the 5th fret, this is not a criticism, i love your version but a (dropD )G chord sounds fuller when the E string is fretted at the 5fret

try it & tell me it dosent sound good, if thats what you feel,

thanks for the response you are a Guy Clark fan no doubt

    all the best

    Very good performance ! *****

  • This is fantastic

from a big Clark fan from The Netherlands

  • Thanks so much for staying true to country music roots on this version. Your voice can surely cover other genres, but you respectfully did not cross that line.

    A Texan says... Good luck.

  • love your voice. do another!!!

  • great job, i did this one a while back, it's an awesome piece of songwriting

  • Excellent job. But change the "...I am just a poor boy..." to "...I am just a poor girl..."

Vocals are awesome. And you're hot (doesn't hurt, I'll admit). REALLY like when you hit the chords hard.

  • Takes me back to a very comfortable space, im not a huge fan of folk but this artist stopped time for a minute, had me appreciate life.. Amazing. Thanks

  • Amazing... I love your version of this song. It really is unique to hear it in a girl's voice... it makes the song more personal to me .

  • Excellent cover...what a treat! Your version is moving and took me somewhere I haven't been in quite some time. Thank You!

  • The guitar sounds great without a pick. So do you.

How would you like to sing a duet on a tune I wrote, in principle. I can get my wife, who's good at net stuff, to send you a track.

  • Good voice. The playing would sound better if you used a pick.

  • You have come a long way since High School... you go Girl! I can't wait for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead

  • Great song. Beautiful voice. Pretty girl. Can't go wrong here.

  • That's good work. In my stupor, trolling youtube for videos of Guy Clark, Rodney Crowell, Townes Van Zandt, and so forth and so on, I've stumbled upon your effort. That's good work you've done here. Cheers. Carry on. You've contributed to my drunken soul searching.

  • wow, that was a really great way to start my day, your passion is brutally and beautifully apparent. i would love to hear some of your original stuff that is as close to your heart. I played some slow swampy slide along with you and would i ever love to jam with you. i think our styles would really compliment each other. hope to buy a ticket to your show one day. keep on rockin you can never be lonely with a guitar
