  • It shouldn't happen to "man's best friend," but it does.

  • That is a terrible state as far as animal welfare goes...

  • Terrible...

  • ths video makes me cry

  • whoever left these poor dogs out there should be chained out there for several months and then shot. i hate people who could do this to animals

  • You knew they were like this and all you done was make a damn YouTube video. Really. Your flat out stupid. Take them to a shelter

  • I'm not against with leaving dogs outside 24/7 I had a coonhound recently died. Live 14 years Witch I long for a coonhound that's hunted like him. And I have a beagle. The have secure boxes outdoor lights always water and food and winter we pack their boxes daily with straw. Always have had hounds outside and Pennsylvania is a hunting state so alot of dogs stay outside. Yeah these dogs are abused. But I wanna know why in the fuck did YOU just leave them there

  • why ???? i ask ahy ???? i hope the fuck who put them there go to hell ...

  • are the two dogs still there ?

  • they left 2 dogs out there?? wtf?!

    why and which ones?

why wouldnt they take all of them?! :'(

  • Hound could someone do this?

  • i am wonderin why people have dogs, if they dont look after them...

  • CNN NEWS: [Seven dogs died in American Airlines august 3 2010] it is astonishing how these dogs died onboard. In islam, dogs are defiled, mohammad never liked dogs. The islamic book Hadith, dogs are forbidden in islam, especially black dogs. Terrorists are attacking dogs also according to the islamic book Hadith.

  • Someone call A.L.F.

  • OMG what the heck was that thing on the Beagle/ Hound/ Terrier's butt? I feel so terrible... OMG if I had a Dog, I would NEVER treat it that way! tammyddb, I LOVE what you are trying to do. Also are you the girl that tried to save Doogie? theres alot of comments about it, and I loved that someone/ you tried to save Doogie from the HELL that he was trapped in! same for these poor Pooches!

  • I contacted CPHS via email respectfully asking for more infomation regarding Big Boy. Unfriggin beleivable.

  • You need to quit trespassing on property, lady. I commend your efforts but you're breaking the law and you do no good to these animals when you're behind bars or on house arrest.

  • wow!

  • Oh come on dogs shouldnt be outside all day and all night long, thats just insane! No matter if its a small dog or a big dog they should be inside and be taking out for walks not be chained to a three their whole life. Im glad I have never seen people done like this I would get so angry and I would not have the strenght to control myself like you all who work with this do.

  • Thats just horrible!

I am not used to seeing dogs being chained here in Sweden... so when I see this its just kills me. Here all dog owners have to walk there dogs atleast four times a day and If someone leaves a dog outside a supermarket while they go shopping people react and act... I wish we had stronger laws here in sweden because if there is animal cruelty the charges isnt enough, but i guess its like that all over the world! U are doing a great job! I hope the dogs gets new homes soon!

  • Just what kind of insane hellhole is Pennsylvania?! There is no excuse for anyone treating dogs like this. In other states if someone sees something like this they can call authorities and get the perpetrators charged and the animals taken away from their hell because it is not legal, and never should have been. Pennsylvania has got to be the worst, most backward state in the US. It needs to stop, now.

  • quicksilver i just watched your video and i am speechless..............

  • @MelissaMcCahan...

I am stunned by the ignorance and cruelty of people too, even after knowing about it for many years. It really is astounding...I look forward to real justice...the reaction to all these actions. Stay strong and healthy for them, and do what you can. Thanks.

  • @MelissaMcCahan , sorry for the late reply, i havn't been around. but i would totally adopt the lovely girl w/ the tumor or any of the other ones. i live far away from this hell hoe. but i would break the law to save them. :]

  • It breaks my heart to see this kind of treatment to those wonderful dogs and their ailments not taken care of and then to hear that the abusers have had nothing done and 2 more dogs are left there - so so sad.

  • I'm from Altoona. Thats disgusting! If theres anyway I can help, please let me know.

  • These dogs have totally captured my heart. They deserve better.

  • are there still any dogs out there???

  • @333naruto Yes, as far as I know, there is still the blind dog and the black dog who rolled over to be belly rubbed.

  • yes both of those dogs are still there.

  • tammy, you got my respect, and ALOT of others as well. sometimes the law isnt fair and these are perfect examples of the need for change. lots of people chain there dogs, and do so in a HUMANE MANNER!!!!! this is not humane, and tammy you ARE doing the right thing. like i said, sometimes the law isnt fair, and someday maybe it will change, and when it does, it will be because of people like tammy!

  • I'll shoot the mother fuckers that chained up these dogs. The end. Animals can't speak for themselves meaning they had no choice but to be chained. This is so sad, especially the cutie with the tumor. I wish i can go up there and just take them all.

  • i too believe that you reap what you sow, and it makes me sick to know that they are still out there. i think the only reason they havent been attacked ot killed by wild animals is because there WERE so many of them, now its down to two, right now. it sucks to be helpless.... the dogs they took to get vet care are still at the local CPHS and i few people have looked into adopting and or fostering them, but they arent releasing them as far as i know

  • Tammy goes where noone else has the nerve to go. Hopefully soon the laws will be changed in Pa. Yesterday can't be soon enough. Anyone who thinks those dogs should be left tied out is sick....like cowman. I don't agree that he should pull his head out of his ass, I think he should keep it there and maybe he won't make anymore stupid comments. The Arnolds should be charged will cruelty from the looks of some of the dogs and the trash they were/are living in.

  • @pdravk.....pull your head out of your ass! The Arnold family was a different situation from several years ago that led to legal issues. I never said a thing about these particular dogs in this video. Go piss off!

  • come a little closer cowman....my leg is lifted and I'm ready

  • Hey Cowman, I think you need to pull your head out of your ass buddy. Everything Tammy does, no matter how she does it, is all done for the sake of the dogs. I only wish I could be that bold. Sometimes drastic situations require drastic measures. Yes... Doogie did die in her care, but at least the old guy died a peaceful death and had true love during his last months, rather then dying in the mud on the end of a chain... ALONE

  • Tamira is a hero. The law in PA needs to be changed so animals receive protection and people like Tamira Thayne must be recognized as saviors, not as criminals. Prosecute the abusers and hire officials who will cooperate with whistle blowers, not arrest them.

  • @cowman1970 Doogie had 5.5 months in our foster care. About 5.5 more months than he would have had with the Arnolds. He also lived INSIDE, he had home cooked food, and he was loved by his foster mother. AND he had the medication he needed.

  • Did you try to commune with the Arnolds about their dog or did you get jump the gun based on what you had seen visually? I remember Doogie when he was little. He was cared for.

  • @cowman1970 Well it was either the dog dies happy and feeling loved and cared for or it suffers out in the cold rain!!!! Tammy was a hero for doing this.

  • @hiphophoney4u In this video she was in the right. In the case of the Arnolds she had no right.

  • Dogs that run are dogs that lack exercise. Dogs are descendants of wolves and need exercise. A dog should not be kept strictly outside nor in a home, but in both. As for chaining a dog? A chained dog is confined to a strict area and is not receiving any outside benefit aside from fresh air. Chained dogs can't exercise or commune with nature. Chained dogs are also forced to deal with the struggle of a cold Pennsylvania winter.

  • My dogs get quite a bit of exercise and frolic in the cold weather. They also have quite a bit of dry straw added to their dog box. They are fine. If dogs in my area aren't properly restrained and allowed to run loose then the trigger happy a-holes will shoot them for any reason.

  • Please... tell me... If it is humanely necessary to keep water for a dog... how does on do so when its 24 degrees outside?

  • Easy, I give it to them a few times a day.

  • That is about as honest as a white dress on a hooker.

  • If you don't like the truth then don't ask.

  • Don't like the answer? Then don't bother to ask. That simple,

  • @tiffanympm If you are going to keep a dog outside, you have to make sure he/she is safe and has adequate food, shelter, and water at all times. The dogs didn't ask to be chained there and left with no water. Yes, they need water, it is a necessity of life. They also should have better shelter and food dishes full of food.

  • Tamira, I admire your compasion caring for dogs, however, getting into legal trouble and having your face on the front page of the Altoona Mirror numerous times for multiple offenses doesn't gain you any respect or credibility. You are better off doing the videos and contacting the law over the matter. There isn't any need to become a radical. That doesn't help suffering dogs. Be a little more compasionate towards the people and you message will carry further. Cheers :)

  • @cowman1970 Even when I DO contact the authorities, which has been done EVERY time, does Blair County take action? No...the PSPCA has seized dogs THREE times that we contacted them about. Now THAT's an agency who gets shit done.

  • Then contact the agency that gets the job done.

  • Wow that's crazy! What's the purpose of having dogs if these people are just going to chain them up and leave them there?! This makes me so mad!!

Good that there are people like you who care about animals.

  • the people that own these dogs live in town, thias is a vacant piece of land that they own on the outskirts of town. to be honest, im surprised the hardys even gave them food.

  • @MelissaMcCahan Yeah, me too, from what I hear...

  • aww at 3:22 .. thts so messed up wht theyre doing to those dogs :[

  • I truly hope you called the SPCA immediately. I hope this video was just to shed light on this terrible situation.

  • @UL0G Of course I did. Did you see the end? They did take three of the dogs, but didn't charge with ANY cruelty. Left two dogs chained out there.

  • @UL0G - Feel free to call the guy and ask HIM why they left some dogs out there... His name is *Paul Gottshall, PA humane society police:814-942-3780*

  • Update on the 7 dogs off Gypsy Hollow Rd. Tyrone, PA. We believe the chainers took the smaller dogs, the chihuahua and the matted dog. We think the humane officer took the dog with the tumor, the girl with the female problems, and the black and tan dog. There are STILL two dogs on the property: The black dog who rolls over for a belly rub, and the blind St. Bernard mix. WE HAVE to get those dogs out! Any suggestions?

  • @tammyddb yes...steal them!

  • I have to agree... I am a single woman and really have no help, but if I had a partner in crime, they'd be gone!

  • Pure evil...

  • Tammy, has the SPCA, come forth in helping these animals as of yet?

  • did you really seriously leave those poor dogs out there? yeah thats not cruel at all!

  • @333naruto You see where they are, go get them! They are just waiting to arrest me again...

  • sorry i will but thats only after i boost a car bcuz thats cruel i dont care if im arrested im 15 and am about to go F***ing boost a car and drive it all the way there to get them and bring them back here my family will take care of them while im in jail!

  • Tammy,

Please let us out-of-state people know who we can contact regarding this.

Thank you for doing what you do.

  • @thcompton There are numbers for local media on there...

  • that is so sad. those poor babies.

  • Shame on the Pennsylvania Legislature!

What is going on in this state with the lawmakers!? For goodness sake, unchain your dogs and take care of your state's animals!

  • oh pooor doggies. I just wanna get my hands on the ppl who did this :(

  • That hound has a prolapsed uterus and will die without medical intervention.Something must be done!

  • Where is the owner of these dogs? The treatment of them is horrible. Charges should be brought against the owner and the dogs should be taken away.
