yeah you're right man, age has nothing to do with liking a band or anything, you see, there are 40 year olds who are plainly naive, never found themselves, never knew what to look for, never knew what to consider important. On the other hand, you have some 15 year old's, some teenage boys, who are understanding the world and how mad it is at this point, and they may identify with the rolling stones, or oasis, or the greats in general. Seems like taste is more than liking something.
Easy to see how you could become obsessed with this..catchy beat..awesome vocals...great performance...no wonder people are still watching this..light yrs ahead of all the current crap out there right now
@CRich4321 Because I've seen people in this particular video say things like that and get their comments thumbed down to -34. I mean just because Disturbed's version is loud that doesn't make it better. :) I feel that a song like this and even Mad World doesn't really need to be loud to send out a powerful message of effecting change.
Hey Miss Lady, I agree with you about the chick at the end rapping. She just messes it up for me. I have the video and I just fast forward whenever she comes on. I love this performace otherwise. Well, you know me I am a nut for any of their work, solo or as the TFF band.

All of u TFF fans, there is no need 2 feel strange 4 liking their music, even if there are people who think that the music you listen to is crap. I'm 35 now and I've listened to them when I was your age back in the 80's and I still listen to them now by coming here 2 UTube just to listen to them. If you like them, continue to like them regardless of what others think. We all have different opinions and U are entitled to ur own opinion so, stick to them!!
Yeah. Part of the reason why I was afraid to tell anyone is because some of the kids at my school at the time were very cruel and I didn't want them to think that what I listened to wasn't cool.
ur wrong man i am 15 and i love tears for fears and always loved the 70s and 802 music it has nothing to do with the age i has to do with two things: what u like in music and second the often u hear that music i love 80s musik speacially cause in radio and my dad always used to play them and the more i heard them the more i like them
That's true but I find that as I grow older and find that music now is getting worse and worse it makes appreciate the music that I grew up listening to that much more. I don't appreciate Disturbed as much as I appreciate Tears For Fears.
What are you talking about? Of course you're not strange for liking this song. I'm 16 and a massive Tears for Fears fan. I understand lots of kids and teenagers would make fun of you for liking this music but they're all a bunch of fuckers. Don't listen to what they say, just like the music you like and don't take any notice of other people. Tears for Fears RULE!! One of my favourite songs ever.
No!!! You obviously have very good taste! There are alot of TFF videos from this concert. Just type in California Nights after you type in the song you want.
capek40-im no old man and i love this song-its great-monster rap crap orto take a lesson from raw pure rock music-the world would be a better place-and heck no your not strange.your a good person-i absoutley love this song-its great-enjoy it!!!!!!!
Good to hear they sound fantastic live, big TFF fan.Oh,and I'm 16 so you're not strange,if anything you are appreciating the finer things in life which seem to escape the neds(chavs) of today who play shit dance music on buses.
I have this DVD. Excellent!! Roland has the best and most versatile voice in the last 25 years. He sounds a little different in almost every song although you can tell it is Roland because
his voice is just so unique. I hope he keeps it for 25 more years!!! Genius!
I found the dvd on Amazon. Evidently there is more than one. Mine has English on front and the song list on back is English. Almost everything else is in Portuguese. The dvd is Tears for Fears Going to California. Just read the description and make sure you get the right one.(The cover has 9 segments, not the cover with 2 picture segments.) I highly recommend this!!
His name is Neil Taylor. He wrote the second guitar solo on "Everybody Wants to Rule the World". He has worked as a session musician for many popular artists, including Robbie Williams.
Roland Orzabal is an excellent lead guitarist/vocalist and is very underrated, especially as a guitarist. He seems like a nice person to me!!! I know that there was a lot of tension between him and Curt, but many bands go through this. Maybe, this is the reason people think that Roland is arrogant. Again, Roland appears to be humble in my views.
Such an underrated band if they would release an album that put them back in the mainstream they would blow all the other bands of today away.TFF FOREVER!
I have met Roland a few times and he can come across as arrogant...yes. However he is really a nice guy who appreciates his true fans and not autograph hounds trying to cash in on his autograph. British people are very sarcastic and Roland is no exception. He is a brilliant musician and he knows this and is not afraid to toot his own horn, but he he will also poke fun at himself as well. Listen to "The Madness Of Roland" one of the greatest Tears For Fears tracks to date.
I met him at his concerts all in New York City. I have not met Curt but corresponded through E-Mail with him a few times. Curt is very likable and VERY down to earth. I was thrilled to meet Roland and I assure he is not the asshole people make him out to be.
can anyone post other live tears for fears performances of this song? i'm gonna arrange it as the opening in my music thesis and just want to get a better idea of the live performances.

I met him at his concerts all in New York City. I have not met Curt but corresponded through E-Mail with him a few times. Curt is very likable and VERY down to earth. I was thrilled to meet Roland and I assure he is not the asshole people make him out to be.

You appear to be saying that "geniuses" have a right to be assholes. You are an ASS kisser obviously and besides, he's no genius........he just got lucky for a short period of time.
