When I look at these films, truly, don't you think the wonderful Mississippi Queen is waiting for us on the opposite shore when we arrive? Just like anything that was loved or sadly missed. I think so. A fitting funeral for a fine lady. RIP

I changed the description. In my mind, the Naches personell told me they fare the last steam paddler. I referred to this statement. Sailing with the Natches was breath taking in a wonderfull enviroment. Sailig right trough history!

Kind of like a New Orleans funeral for a New Orleans Queen. Too bad so many on deck were oblivious to what was happening.

The Natchez is not the last operational steam powered sternwheeler, don't forget about us on the Belle of Louisville as we prepare for our 97th season! At least we still have these two fine boats running.
