I was blessed to see him upclose and personal at the Bottom Line in NYC...1976...it was quite an experience for a twenty-three year old....I loved it. I felt sophisticated.

dex has a way of interpreting this tune that reminds me of his approach to playing another great ballad "hush now don't explain" i think players get taken down certain pathways when they play like harmonic schemes and similarities arise. just lovely
