Roberta, il tempo è perfetto. Non dar ascolto se non alle illustri incertezze del tempo che sono la metafisica. Grazie, eccelsa esecuzione e suoni paraclavicembalistici raffinati. Cinque stelle son poche.
Your comment is interesting, but I am sorry to disappoint you in your affirmation. What you call "tempus perfectus" is the circle, instead the "tempus imperfectus" is the semicircle. Bach's notation of the Gigue is not a divided circle (cercle barré) BUT a double semicircle. By notating in this way Bach indicated that the note values were doubled. He also wrote the piece in Anna Magdalena's Notenbuch, 1725 with an Alla Breve sign and notes of half of the value.
@marchi1775: I can translate this for those who don't speak French. Marchi posted, "The sign of the barreled marquee circle for Bach at the start of the gigue indicates "a perfect tempest" my friend.

What do you mean by that? I think you are confusing something.

Le signe du cercle barré marqué par Bach au debut de la gigue indique "le tempus perfectus" donc ternaire...
