The Long bed's had 2 gas tanks with a switch on the dash to go from one to the other. I used to Run Regular gas in the back tank, and high test in the front tank. switch to the good stuff and race you something Chevy.

My 85 mustang GT 5.0 had stock headers, but they used small diameter crimped pipes. I swapped them out for a set of hedman headers. Ford lightning 351 came with very simialar stock headers.

it is a real lightning... and I sold it a few months ago and bought an '03 mach 1 mustang.... the side decals were replaced by the first owner... sorry guys... there will be no video of the new motor.... I know the person I sold it to, and he tore the entire motor up and payed me to replace it... so now it's scrap.

The exhaust sound is great. Can you tell me who did exactly on this beautiful truck to get this sound? I have a 1996 f-150 6cylinder 4.9L I know this engine is smaller than yours but I want to find similar sound for my truck. I expect you can help me with your experience. Thanks. You can't get a straight six to sound like an 8, but you can make it idle with a deeper growl. You can run the original manifolds and add a Flowmaster (or equal performance muffler) with a 3 inch outlet. 2.5 inch outlet is okay, but a 3 inch really makes it growl. If that's not enough sound for you, get rid of the cat and you'll really appreciate the sound. Tree huggers will be pissed at you though (like that matters to most).

i must agree very nice truck. i also have a 94 ford but mines no lightning its just a f 150 xlt lariat and i must say for having a stock 351w it has alot of balls my racing career is 5-0 my toughest race was a 99 chev with cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust and chiped and i still beat him

yes, it's definately 5.8L...i really don't know why all of the motor companies changed their engine descriptions from Cubic inches to liters...the common buyer wouldnt know the difference...lol...but yes.... 5.8 liters is 351 cubic inches

All the Gen 1 Lightnings have a 351 Windsor in them also known as the 5.8L. I also have a 94 FlareSide there very rare! You have a very nice lightning here!!!
