ok Im just getting to this part. It took me 2 months to get comfortable with the body of the song and now thanks to you I will have this intro & bridge down before my concert later next month.  I am still a beginner and have a great guitar teacher but I am just starting to believe I can be good at playing this thing. Thanks for sharing. Here's some feedback. You don't have any of the muted ghost notes that are in the song. All those opening A's you're sounding (Mayer also ghost mutes the D sometimes) are muted except for the odd time Mayer misses them.

Also, the thing that makes the intro cool is the muted ghost note triplets in the middle, which you are also missing. Actually, everyone on the internet is missing those (the internet needs to get it's ears cleaned out!).

Awesome tutorial. I was just wondering though, what guage strings do you use? I just got a Taylor 114ce and yours looks a lot like mine. Mine was already equipped with Elixir mediums but it seems too hard on my fingers when I attempt this song. Thanks!

the hardest part i think is the rhythm, because its so cool and you don't want to give up on it. Thanks man, oh and btw, your right, part of being a musician is using your eyes and ears not number on a page. I figured out the notes no problem by myself.

Cool vid man, I never expected someone to actually go through the entire intro note by note, most people just kinda figure out the chords and a couple of the bass notes he plays on the low C string and wing it
