There should have been more capture scenes during seasons 2 & 3 where Wonder Woman is KO'd with knock gas like @0:27 and then strapped down to a table and made powerless when her magic belt is removed.
If you look at the reaaaalllllly old Wonder Woman comics, she had a weakness that they never exploited on the show. It was the back of her head. She coulda been captured sooo many more times...or it just woulda made an easier getaway!!
When Wonder Woman is knocked out the first time at 0:26, her magic belt is removed and she is powerelss when she awakens. She recovers her magic belt and escapes, only to be knocked out again at 2:35. When Wonder Woman awakens this time,her magic belt hasn't been removed;if it was, she would had been powerless again. The dialogue could had went like this:Trevor:"Are you all right?" Wonder Woman:"I think so. Just terribly weak-Steve! They removed my magic belt! I've lost my Amazon strength!!"
@Girardifan Keep in mind that the 'magic belt is the source of my super powers' only existed on the TV show. It was never in keeping with Marston's conception of Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman's powers were innate - her super strength, speed, and stamina existed within her and could not be taken away by stripping her of any garment. Only if her bracelets were bound by a man could she be rendered relatively powerless.
Wonder Woman and Fausta Grable! This is the best episode ever. Two EXTREMELY strong women with an OBVIOUS mutual admiration of one another. It doesn't get any better than this!
The sad part of the Fausta episode is that "we" never get to see an actual "fight" scene between WW (without her magic girdle) and Fausta. Mano a Mano no super powers.
In the footage from "Fausta, the Nazi Wonder Woman", Wonder Woman is helpless without her magic belt but the arrogance of the Nazi officer enables her to regain her Amazon powers. The annoyed look on Fausta's face when she looks at the officer says it all;"You stubborn fool! Look at how easily I captured Wonder Woman and brought her here! Observe how weak she is without her magic belt! Didn't you see how she answers our questions whlle bound with her own lasso? How much more proof do you need?!"
Excellent video, especially when the footage from "The Feminine Mystique", in which Wonder Woman is knocked out by the sleeping gas, leads into the footage from "Fausta, the Nazi Wonder Woman", in which the powerless Wonder Woman emerges from the back of the car. The expression on Wonder Woman's face says it all:"What happened? Where am I?"
There is something that I don't understand: what is wrong to possess the uncovered legs legs to be Wonder Woman?: why was Lynda Carter always using tights for the disguise of Wonder Woman? Well, the skin's color doesn't fit.
Fraulein - you are an intelligent woman, why do you take orders from THIS man? =D No wonder watching this as a kid made me a strong woman! YAY WONDER WOMAN! =D
