I Fucking hate every single employer who would try to do this or that has already gotten away with it. The world revolves around greed its just terrible.
These companies are probably providing little to no health insurance. They place the employees in highly stressful jobs & work them long hours. If the employees complains, management threaten them by saying "someone else is willing to work harder" or "if you don't like it, leave".
How is a Bank having a life insurance policy on an employee different from a wife having a policy for her husband? It's just insurance, they aren't killing them.
wow. Who the hell are you to make a dead insurance on me (which benefits not me but you) without my consent? That's retarded. So why can't we make dead insurances on our rich employers?
People I think its time for a revolution Seriously though the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer everyday I for one have had enough I say its time we wipe washington from all these corrupt politicians and bankers and take the money to rebuild our country.
It's not free trade pal, that's the point of Michael Moores film Capitalism: A Love Story. Watch the film and you'll see that the current version of Capitalism and free trade that we've all been sold is no such thing. Social mobility and equality are dead.....your just a peasant for the rich to leech off!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
this crappy movie made me become a capitalist. i even have the "toilet cat" song downloaded on my iphone, which i gave money to APPLE CO. to buy. Man, i love free trade.
Now for any insurance policy you're gonna get business owners who try to get over by creating fraudulent losses. The small store owner who tries to cash in on his property insurance policy by setting fire to his own shop, etc. So, in this free market economy, what's to stop an employer from trying to cash in by setting up a "robbery" resulting in the "accidental death" of their employee? Markets aren't ever preventative. They can only be reactive.
Look all this is not about IQ or the rest of it. This is about ruthless companies cashing in on their employees in very dishonest and cruel manner. The point id nobody disapprove these facts but question what is that each of us individually are going to do stop this and at least ensures the dead person childeren and love are beneficials???
Punish the companies by refusing to work for them and refusing to give them your business. You don't need government to do it.
Did it ever occur to anyone that the vast majority of employees DON"T DIE ON THE JOB?? That the vast majority of employees don't CARE if they take life insurance on them....and that this guy almost certainly knew about it and didn't care. Who, at his age, really thinks they will be dying soon.. Since he didn't buy his own life insurance, not him
I will anxiously await some factual debate from our ESTEEMED colleague, bek12. He has yet to establish which of my statements of fact he opposes and on which legal basis he opposes such statement. He has called me wrong, a liar and some other names. He has yet to debate any of the facts (other than jefferson's EXACT numerical IQ). I suppose he will debate me next on Jefferson's exact weight....be careful though. He gained and lost weight over the years.
That is a misrepresentation of what I said. We could change the meaning of words all night to attack each other, but I'm not going to play that game. In fact, what you just did is more of a problem that the lack of historical knowledge in this nation.
I do believe understanding history has value. However, yes, knowing simple right and wrong, and actually trying to DO RIGHT, is a key virtue which many people lack. Again, take a look at what you just did.
My friend. I apologize if I insulted you. I actually have come to like you over the discourse of our discussions. :-)
You and I AGREE that doing right by our fellow man is IMPORTANT. We differ in the delivery system. I like donating money to charity and choosing the charities that are important to me.
I hate government taking my money and redistributing it because they are motivated by politics....and politics are corrupt.
To be honest, though...you DID say you didn't care.
We all make hasty comments...especiall when typing. Dear Bek12.... YOU ARE MY AMERICAN BROTHER. We are fellow citizens.
All I am asking is that you DO care and take some time to investigate my well studied assertions. I'll make you a deal...You read the 5000 year leap (an easy read and about 8 bucks) and I'll read a book of your choice about your position.
@FreeTheNation, still having those basic spelling errors? Perhaps you need to get your basic game sorted (with relation to spelling), before you try to 'bluff' yourself before a 'JUDGE'....Otherwise, good for you. I hope you enjoy your trolling, for all of your' 'knowledge' you're still pouring your 'hidden' soul out onto a youtube comment page..?!? Go give your mother a hug and say you're sorry.
Today we will tackle ecoomics.....a subject Michael Moore knows very little about.
1. Jobs come from Production.
2. Production comes from Capital Investment
3. Capital Investment comes from LOANS from SHAREHOLDERS.
4. Loanable Funds Come from Private Sector SAVINGS.
and round and round the circle we go.
Why was there a collapse in 2008 and another one coming? Because government has been sucking the system dry. The US has the highest corporate tax rate in the world.
The financial crisis was actually caused in part by bad loans, that were adjustable rate loans. They came from sliced and diced low quality derivatives that made a handful of brokers rich while bankrupting companies and families.
Your ignorance of basic economics is embarrassing. Get out of my country, moron. Maybe Adam Smith's "Invisible Hand" will guide you over a cliff. Fucking moron.
Class - This is a perfect chance to educate one of the children. The Financial crisis is explained below:
1. The Federal Reserve caused a massive imbalance in the banking system by lowering interest rates to 1%. These artificially low interest rates are a creature of Government and not a creature of the free market. 1% interest rates encourage banks, businesses and consumers to borrow and spend too much money. The paradox is that the GOVT NEEDS the rates to be low so they can refi the debt
The GOVT couldn't afford to spend trillions of dollars of your money, in deficit spending, without the artificially low interest rates and the monetization of the debt by the Federal Reserve. Hence why we need to pass Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill. Big Government Democrats and Republicans like the dangerous low interest rates because it was their goal to compete with the communists (a chicken in every pot) back in the 1940s and put "a house on every lot"
and Interest rates should be well above double digits. This would protect us all from the malinvestments of the banks, the businesses and consumers. It would allow banks to foreclose on properties and sell them at auction, instead of the properties being underwater. It would prevent IRRESPONSIBLE people from buying homes with no money down. The banks should have been pemitted to fail and mortgages in default should have been sold at auction. This would have hurt many people who made bad...
..hurt many who made bad decisions. The market MUST punish bad decisions and reward good decisions. The collapse in Real Estate prices would have purged the market of bad mortgages and would have allowed responsible investors to take over the properties. To prevent this, the FED has purchased an estimated 9 TRILLION dollars of mortgage debt and the FEDS have promised an UNLIMITED amount of Bailouts to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
This is what you government is doing, while DCH calls me names
dch probaly doesn't understand how the fed works, how the FDIC works, how fannie mae and freddie mac work and why we will face a much larger problem in the near future. Social Security was estimated to go upside down (paying out more than taking in) by 2035...well......it happened THIS YEAR... A little ahead of schedule.
Your government is LYING to you....and guys like dch want it to be true. Like a little girl who wishes upon a star....they "wish" for the lies to be true.
If you actually visitied my channel, you would see two of the top economists in the world, explaining these things to you. I have met and interviewed both of them extensively. Please educate yourself.
NOW - to continue:
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were formed to buy mortgages that NO bank would ever want to hold. 0-5% downpayment and 5% interest. It's a SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST Scam. By inflating property values, the govt can collect more property taxes...which is also Communism....
Government has taken ownership of all the land in the US. You can't own something that you have to pay someone to keep.
No bank wants to lend money for 5% interest....so the Federal Reserve Act allowed them to lend the money hundreds of times over. This is the reason why the Federal Reserve Act must be repealed and our monetary system be restored to a gold backed currency.
It's going to be painful....but not nearly as bad as the depression that awaits.
@FreeTheNation and where is this gold that is to back the currency supposed to come from? it was jacked during the great depression.. the states don't have enough gold reserves to do this... a gold backed currency will never be again.. the population is also too large...
continued... the fractional reserve program is the scam... but here is the thing as long as money exists someone will find a way to create more from nothing just like the roman debasement of precious metal coinage... the solution is more radical than we would like to admit...
However, things didn't really spiral out of control, with the monetary system, until we went off of the gold standard. The FIAT monetary system allows politicians to become FIAT magicians with our money and our future.
I think any system must be openly audited and publicly scrutinized. We do not EVEN have that, currently
@FreeTheNation auditors can, have, and will be bought.. the type of regulation i assume you think of would need a active, aware an compitent public.. the trend has been the opposite.. barbarism (mma = modern gladiators) is on the rise and literacy on the decline...it isn't pretty..
That is a good point. We can start with a FULL AUDIT of the Federal Reserve and a full audit of Fort Knox. From there we can back the currency by what gold we have and ALSO SILVER and Platinum. We have plenty of other metals that we can use.
Regarding the population...we can remain on a fractional reserve....just so it's a fraction of SOMETHING and not a fraction made up out of THIN AIR.
So essentially what these companies are saying is;
"We here at C. U. Laytor Corp. enjoy having you as an employee...We are astonished time and time again regarding your outstanding performance and work ethic...We feel that you are a great asset to our company and we are truly glad that we have hired you...........NOW HURRY UP AND DIE..!!!!! "
it is another typical case of maximum labor minimum wages the corporates keep crying broke but you cant even die without them making money off of you lets cgive them another bailout shall we? maybesome more of that republican thinking will trickle down to us rank and file
Actually, you have been schooled, by everyone on this thread, multiple times. If this were a gunfight, your body would unrecognizable as human.
You have embarrassed yourself and your countrymen. Our founding fathers would have likely fed you to the British, or the Barbary pirates.
You are either one of the most ignorant people that ever lived, or a troll with an impressive penchant for acting. Either way, you've been owned, by everyone.
And employees invest more into the company than the company invests in them. I think you have it backwards. In other words, the company is technically the asset. The employees are what makes it work.

Good morning Class - School is in session.
Moore uses the emotion of ENVY to get you to hate rich people, and successful companies.
Any person or entity may freely enter into a contract with any other person or entity.
Many companies insure their employees for the same reason that many spouses take insurance on their primary bread winner. It's really quite simple: To insure against the unexpected loss of revenues due to an untimely death. Capish???
"Moore uses the emotion of ENVY to get you to hate rich people, and successful companies."
Actually, he appeals to the average person's sense of justice and propriety. Since at least the 19th century, most people have vocally objected to being treated as property and commodities by others. While there may be something missing in your psychological make-up that causes this truth to escape your grasp, it is nonetheless the case. One need not "hate" the more fortunate to demand decency from them.
Ahhh...That sounds so wonderful. Thankfully, we have a Constitution in this country that doesn't give a DAMN what most people think....you see....that's called a DEMOCRACY (rule by the majority). The US is a REPUBLIC (Rule of law). The rule of law doesn't concern itself with what most people "think".
The rule of Law doesn't give you the right to DEMAND ANYTHING from ANYONE. The founders realized that people like you would try to FORCE your views on others by making DEMANDS
Precisely. And what's being proposed here is legislation -- that's "law", by the way -- formulated by that self-same republic that would amend, ameliorate, or prohibit outright the practice condemned in the video.
"The rule of Law doesn't give you the right to DEMAND ANYTHING from ANYONE."
You are utterly ignorant of the concept of "tort law", I see.
The rule of law is not any legislation that congress wants to pass. The rule of law is the Consitution. The Constitution is the SUPREME law of the land and it prohibits Congress from passing such "legislation", as you call it.
Tort law has been turned on it's head over the past 60 years. Thank GOD for the TEA PARTY. They will be bringing this country back to a LEGAL, Consitutional System of Government.
"The Constitution is the SUPREME law of the land and it prohibits Congress from passing such "legislation""
Where?
"Tort law has been turned on it's head over the past 60 years."
Oh, it has? That thing you claimed this morning DOESN'T EXIST has been turned on its head, has it? Apparently, so has your view on the supposed inability to seek redress outside of either criminal or direct contractual liability.
Not all Legislation is Constitutional....even though the socialists have gotten away with it for the past 50 years. THAT season is coming to an end. WATCH in AMAZEMENT as the TEA PARTY Swells.
The Constitution was written SPECIFICALLY TO STOP THE FEDZILLA FROM creating any such Legislation.
You will learn to be happy with your new found liberties.
The TEA PARTY movement has barely begun. And we now win in a 3 way race with republicans and Democrats.
Article One, Section 10 further explains what the government may and may not do. Paper money through a private, central bank was listed as another Big NO NO. If you did your homework assignment last night, you will now be familiar with the Bretton Woods Treaties. They are completely unconstitutional and part 2 is responsible for many bad people doing bad things to your fellow students. Bretton Woods 2, for example, allows a professor from Harvard to spend money he doesn't have
Even the dumbest among you know that we can't borrow money from China just to spend it here on creating a temporary job for someone.
But I digress.
Article FOUR, Sections 2 and 4 are written for very specific reasons... Let's say to prevent a state like Louisiana from getting a 300 million dollar bribe in a bill to garner a vote.
The Second Amendment was written to insure that the citizens could rise up in an armed revoltion should the Government impose on our Liberties.
Jefferson wrote pretty extensively about how he expected that we would have to fight future revolutions to retain our freedoms....that it is the natural evolution of government to gain too much power. Madison and Jefferson both warned of the dangers of Democracy and this would be the tool used to manipulate masses into giving up their liberties. They also warned about wealth redistribution, ENVY, etc.
They gave very lengthy, specific and direct warnings about people like Moore
I agree with Jefferson's writings about keeping our freedom from government. However, the current president is no more invasive or controlling than our last, which the public was stupid enough to vote in for two terms.
Moore is a fine person, exposing what he believes are the injustices of our society. Of course it's inevitable that conservatives who hate him and his opinions would attack him, calling him "unpatriotic" and so forth. That's to be expected and disregarded.
But I digress again. The FOURTH Amendment means that most of what the government does with income tax audits, DUI Roadblocks, the PATRIOT Act....ALL illegal.
The FIFTH Amendment makes it Unconstitutional for the Government to FORCE you to fill out a Tax Return...for example.
Now for the big trumpets please....
The Founders were SO COMPLETELY concerned with RESTRAINING the FEDZILLA that they wrote the 9th and 10th Amendments.
NINTH Amendment - means that JUST BECAUSE the federal govt was given some measure of power by the Constitution, it is limited to the powers that have been ENUMERATED and in no way does it give the Federal government ANY Powers over the States. The main powers, also known as the Police powers, are all reserved to State and Local Governments. Police Powers does not referr to police departments. They are the powers to create laws that will affect LIBERTIES.
In case we FORGOT to mention ANYTHING that you CAN'T do....you can't do that either.
The Ninth and Tenth Amendments were reverse language. You see....The FOUNDERS KNEW that future politicians and Evil people like Michael Moore would try to manipulate their words and get the undeducated MASSES to buy into the OLDEST SCAM in the book....
So they attempted to make it impossible for people to DEMAND anything. Unfortunately, over the past 100 years, Americans have become quite used to the rule of MAN over the rule of LAW. This will be coming to an end within the next 4-6 years and we will return to the RUPUBLICAN rule of law, as embedded in the supreme law of the land. But you probably don't know much about the Constitution....i would think
In the United States, you are Free to LEAVE any boss. You see, the people you are referring to were NOT free to leave. Our country is set up so YOU can start your OWN company and run it as you please. Nobody is FORCED to stay in any job. That's the difference.
Justice isn't a concept that is part of private property ownership. Let me dumb it down for you:
I can own a STEAK and see a hungy man who wants it really bad.....and if I want to....i can feed the steak to a DOG. That's my right
"In the United States, you are Free to LEAVE any boss."
That isn't the point of the video.
"i can feed the steak to a DOG."
That isn't the point of the video, either. The point of the video is the objection to a third party contracting concerning something they do not own: the life of a human being, without that person's knowledge and consent.
It's clear you're big on getting dumb, but try to stay focused.
If I admire a work of art that took a man 50 years to create. I can buy it and piss on it.
That's my right, since I own the item.
You are confusing MORALITY with LEGALITY.
Any business owner can do whatever he/she wants with their business, INCLUDING how they treat their employees. A bad owner typically has a hard time finding employees - THAT's The beauty of the FREE Market. It rewards excellence and punishes mediocrity. It works BOTH ways. Class Dismissed
"If I admire a work of art that took a man 50 years to create. I can buy it and piss on it."
Okay, I'll say it. Who here would be surprised? :)
"Any business owner can do whatever he/she wants with their business, INCLUDING how they treat their employees."
That hasn't been true for at least a couple of centuries now: work standards, maximum hours, legislated vacation time, safety standards, minimum wages, fiscal reporting, etc., etc., etc.
OK, Class - DO YOU SEE how dangerous a little knowledge is?? A Manager may be forced to work Overtime with no additional pay.
All of the labor laws you mention are part of the STATE POLICE POWERS. They don't fall under Federal Jurisdiction. The labor laws you mention have been responsible for transforming the United States from the Largest Producer and Creditor nation in the world into the largest Debtor Nation and job LOSING nation in the history of the world
Jobs come from production. Capital Comes from savings. In order to pay for the FEDZILLA, we had to leave the Gold Standard in 1971. That's why the paper in your wallet is worth less and less every day. Because in order to pay for the FEDZILLA, they have to PRINT money. The Country has been bankrupted by these laws. That's why gold was 35.00/oz in 1971 and has recently exceeded 1200.00/oz. Gold isn't worth more, the Dollar is worthLESS.
Incidentally, speaking of unanswered questions, are you ever going to stop foghorning long enough to address this one:
To what possible degree could Daniel Johnson be said to be the equivalent, morally or practically, of Amegy Bank NA's "primary breadwinner" to the tune of $1.6 million?
"Many companies insure their employees for the same reason that many spouses take insurance on their primary bread winner."
To what possible degree could Daniel Johnson be said to be the equivalent, morally or practically, of Amegy Bank NA's "primary breadwinner" to the tune of $1.6 million?
"Capish???"
The word you're looking for is "capice", o learned one.
Capish is Ilatian slang....but that doesn't matter. What matters is this:
It isn't your business to decide the "Degree", the "equivalency", the "morality" or the "practicality" of any business decision. A business is a piece of private property. We don't know all of the facts about this case (as is often the case with Michale Moore). Those decisions are up to the business and not you are anyone else.
What matters is that you are making a statement of morality, telling other comentators on here what they ought to do. Sorry, you're clearly detached from reality. Go to school, kid, and learn how to spell.
Employees aren't investors. Investors bring capital or some other contractually agreed upon value to the table. An employee can be hired, fired, given bonues to reward good behavior and dumped if he or she sucks. Employees wouldn't need unions if they were so valuable. Let's see who is valuable.....The New York Yankees OR is it the employees in the office. hmmmmmmmm. Employees are hired hands. Businesses provide opportunities for employees, not the other way around.
"Employees wouldn't need unions if they were so valuable."
We wouldn't need laws if people just took care to defend themselves from undesirable acts and/or deeds.
"Businesses provide opportunities for employees"
Bzzt! Wrong! A business is a tool used by people and greater society for beneficial purposes. It isn't a sentient being. "Investors bring capital or some other contractually agreed upon value to the table"
Wrong. A business is private property and in a FREE society, the owners can decide to do anything they want with it.
BZZZZ!!! Wrong
people working for a company do not bring any capital to the table or any contractual value to the table. Owners bring that. That's why THEY are the owners and YOU are the worker. THEY pay you to WORK for THEM.
Actually, employees are investers, fyi. They invest time, skills, and intellect (those three things you clearly lack), which is why they get paid. If they were not truly investors, they would work for free.
And unions are a way to organize to even the odds. In a non-democratic environment, like a an American corporation, the only way to balance power to prevent corruption is an organized force with opposing objectives.
Go to school, dumbass. You're embarrassing America.
Their TIME is BOUGHT by the OWNERS. An Investor OWNS STOCK and DECIDES whether to hire emloyees, how much to pay them and whether to keep them or lay them off.
Employees exchange time, talent and effort for a sum of money. They are NOT owners.
Unions, in and of themselves, are not a bad idea. The Sanction of unions by the Federal Government is both illegal and Destructive. That is why GM and Chrysler are bankrupt.
"Let's see who is valuable.....The New York Yankees OR is it the employees in the office."
The New York Yankees ARE employees, actually; and they have a union. It's astounding -- but HIGHLY amusing -- that you apparently haven't noticed that. :)
"Businesses provide opportunities for employees, not the other way around."
"Opportunities" are simply empty conceptual shells if no one offers to provide the labour by means of which they are realized. The workers, and their ability to bring about change, are real. The businesses that employ them are, without them, abstractions. That is, labour precedes business. Not the reverse.
If this were the case, patches, then labor wouldn't need Government backed unions to blackmail businesses to pay them more. The market value of the employees would be high, becasue they are so necessary and impossible to replace. Let me dumb it down for you.
Paul McCartney owns his business and is the sole reason for it's success. Anyone who works for him can be replaced by him in about five minutes and there wil be no adverse affect on him.
"Paul McCartney owns his business and is the sole reason for it's success."
Then what does he need employees for? Surely he can lick his own stamps, manage his own itinerary, fly himself to his gigs, set up the equipment, and play all the instruments on stage while he controls the floodlights with his ass... which is clearly what you're talking out of.
McCartney doesn't need any of the SPECIFIC employees. He could fire them all and hire new ones. He can decide to buy life insurance on them if he wants. He holds all the power.
McCartney doesn't need any of the SPECIFIC employees."
Never said he did; in fact, you're missing the point. As I said previously, it's not about the power of a labourer, it's the power of labour. Hence your earlier whine about unions.
Those labourers can do anything. They can work for Pete Townsend. They can hoe spuds in their back gardens. They can pick up a guitar themselves. The point is, without labour per se, Paul McCartney's going to be back on that double-decker bus, lighting up smokes and going into dreams. Without the agreement and support of others, he can't be who he is or do what he does. NONE of us can.
"Anyone who works for him can be replaced by him in about five minutes and there wil be no adverse affect on him."
Unless no one wants to step into said role. What does he do then? What does any business do? Raise rates or go under. That's what unions are all about. Not the power of a labourer... the power of labour.
Unions are about buying government votes so they can have government officials create unconstitutional labor laws to help them achieve their goals. Unions are mostly corrupt, and the union MEMBERS that I know do NOT agree with their leaders. Unions without government sanctioned support would be a GREAT thing. It's the fact that the Government takes the side of labor, in an unconstitutional manner, that has damaged this country
By the way: you want to use "its" in that sentence, not "it's", which is a contraction of "it is". There's no apostrophe in the possessive form. Next time you set out to dumb something down, try not to get TOO dumb, okay?
"I'm telling you to mind your own damn business..... "
You would tell us all to mind our own business, the spokesperson for Rand Paul whom you like so much sang songs praising Satan and is buddy-buddy with racists.
The fact that you called my youtube channel REPUBLICAN is HILLARIOUS. That shows that you don't know the difference between a democrat, a republican, a libertarian and a Constitutionalist....let alone something more subtle like an Independent.
You claim to be well studied on the issues.
Question:
Which of the major works on economics are at the foundation of your opinions?
Which of the major books on Law and government are at the foundation of your opinions?
Only insofar as it conducts itself in accord with the overall interests of the society in which it operates, which includes the relevant overseeing legislation. Otherwise, it is subject to seizure and redistribution to more responsible parties. If you don't even recognize that there are legal, and even moral, limitations on the conduct of business and the uses of private property, you have no basis for lecturing in a forum about those topics.
Do you mean "Italian"? And no, it isn't slang; 'capice' is an actual verb in Italian that is occasionally used in an ironic sense in English to convey the question, "Do you understand?".
"but that doesn't matter."
In fact, it does, because it's indicative of how little you actually care for accuracy and the relevancy of the facts you use are here.
What you say is true.....in a communist society or a socialist society.
You truly have no idea what the Constitution says, what it means and the definitions of private property. Jefferson, Madison and Franklin DEFINED THEM ....and I can assure you that you are not in agreement with them.
"You truly have no idea what the Constitution says, what it means and the definitions of private property."
I do, as a matter of fact. Can you tell me where the US Constitution actually addresses the matter of private property?
I can. It's in the Fifth Amendment, and it's mentioned in conjunction with the power of governments to seize it for just compensation by power of eminent domain. I believe Messrs. Jefferson, Madison, and Franklin had something to do with writing the Bill of Rights...
Actually, Moore uses the logic of math. If the average employee's labor is only worth, say, $30,000 anually, then a CEO making billions anually must be doing the work of thousands of employees. But since he is not, he is being overpaid. You do the math.
And you spelled capice wrong. Go back to kindergarten moron.
That's the logic of Communism. The logic of math has no place in business.
Here is how it works.
The CEO can make whatever he wants because he is running the buisness. Likewise he can pay the employees whatever he wants to pay them. The CEO and other Stock holders OWN the company. They do whatever they want with it because, just like your house, it's THEIR private property. Employees can leave if they don't like it. supply and demand
"The CEO can make whatever he wants because he is running the buisness."
Business.
So, the stevedore can take whatever he wants out of the warehouse because he's running the loading dock? Interesting theory. Lately, governments seem to be taking issue with it.
"it's THEIR private property. Employees can leave if they don't like it."
And the government can seize it and redistribute it if they feel it's being egregiously misused to a felonious extent. There are limits to everything.
Michael, dont you love how every pathetic news picks up on this topic AFTER you had it in you movie, even though this scam has been around for years and years....After you reported this inhuman scam, now all news outlets report it,like they are surprised and actually care.....
what a shame, how pathetic news are, they should have reported this years and years ago and not after you had this issue raised on national level....
By "uneducated" I mean lacking in the study of the disciplines of economics, History, and the fundamentals and foundations of the American Legal system.
The world views I have are shared by the great minds of all times.....of which Michael Moore is not included.
"The world views I have are shared by the great minds of all times"
Name one, and then demonstrate that that person would agree that a non-corporeal legal person has the inherent "right" to contract with regard to the existence of a third party without the knowledge of that third party.
This sounds like it may technically be a form of fraud...although it probably isn't prosecuted in criminal court at this point. Opening a policy like that requires the use of personal information that should only be released by the person who owns it. I'm not a legal expert, but it sounds like identity theft. Legal issues aside, the anger of families over such a questionable action seems completely justified. I might want to start looking into what my own employer is up to with my personal info.
Yeah... look into it....maybe you will get fired for being such an ungrateful employee. Maybe you ought to kiss your employers ass and thank him for supporting your life.
What do you have to offer your employer that he couldn't get from 1000 other people???
It's business get over it. Families have all the rights in the world to get their own life insurance policy. A bunch of socialist hacks that think the world owes them something for nothing.
It is like betting on a horse at the track. They are betting on an employee to die, (which is a safe bet because everybody is going to die). Just like at a horse track the house should get it's 20% and the remaining 80% should go to the owners of the horse, which in this case would be the employees families.
@Freerugrat, I don't give a fuck what you have to say about my channel, I would be as stupid as the bitch who shitted you out if that effect me. Don't worry about my age and apparently my argument means something how many times did your Casper looking ass @ my name?LOL RIGHT!XD I know enough about the law to know you are nothing but a piece of shit and you love money more than you love God and I also know you are evil and not of God thats all is needed to know! Fuck a pig like you!
Looks like FreeTheNation thinks he is smarter because he is older than 20. Last time I checked when you want to prove someones statement wrong you show where he was wrong. This moron is calling people out and just trying to get a rise out of someone. So whats wrong with my statement? Whats the whole purpose of a Corporation? Hope you can wipe your ass with the worthless dollar once everyone sees that we can't pay our debt back. You should run for office, They need more people who are full of it.
It appears that the State laws need to be standardized at the Federal level. I had a $500,000 policy taken out on me when I was a CFO of a company in Maryland and I was required to sign off on the policy.
I have serious issues with any state that does not require consent of the employee. Particularly when the policy amount grossly exceeds the cost to replace/retrain an employee who was tragically lost in the line of duty. Nobody like being worth more dead than alive.
Wow, next thing you know they'll start poisoning their employees to collect on these policies!

They can only be reactive.

and round and round the circle we go.

FreeTheNation 2 years ago
The financial crisis was actually caused in part by bad loans, that were adjustable rate loans. They came from sliced and diced low quality derivatives that made a handful of brokers rich while bankrupting companies and families.
Your ignorance of basic economics is embarrassing. Get out of my country, moron. Maybe Adam Smith's "Invisible Hand" will guide you over a cliff. Fucking moron.
dch3348 2 years ago
Class - This is a perfect chance to educate one of the children. The Financial crisis is explained below:
1. The Federal Reserve caused a massive imbalance in the banking system by lowering interest rates to 1%. These artificially low interest rates are a creature of Government and not a creature of the free market. 1% interest rates encourage banks, businesses and consumers to borrow and spend too much money. The paradox is that the GOVT NEEDS the rates to be low so they can refi the debt
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
The GOVT couldn't afford to spend trillions of dollars of your money, in deficit spending, without the artificially low interest rates and the monetization of the debt by the Federal Reserve. Hence why we need to pass Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill. Big Government Democrats and Republicans like the dangerous low interest rates because it was their goal to compete with the communists (a chicken in every pot) back in the 1940s and put "a house on every lot"
Deposit percentages should be over 20%
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
and Interest rates should be well above double digits.
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
..hurt many who made bad decisions.
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
dch probaly doesn't understand how the fed works, how the FDIC works, how fannie mae and freddie mac work and why we will face a much larger problem in the near future.
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
That's right......
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
@FreeTheNation and where is this gold that is to back the currency supposed to come from? it was jacked during the great depression.. the states don't have enough gold reserves to do this... a gold backed currency will never be again.. the population is also too large...
Th3Wab3 2 years ago
continued... the fractional reserve program is the scam... but here is the thing as long as money exists someone will find a way to create more from nothing just like the roman debasement of precious metal coinage... the solution is more radical than we would like to admit...
Th3Wab3 2 years ago
This is also a good point.
However, things didn't really spiral out of control, with the monetary system, until we went off of the gold standard. The FIAT monetary system allows politicians to become FIAT magicians with our money and our future.

PatchesRips 2 years ago
@PatchesRips
Bretton Woods 2, for example, allows a professor from Harvard to spend money he doesn't have
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
@PatchesRips
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
@PatchesRips
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
I agree with Jefferson's writings about keeping our freedom from government. However, the current president is no more invasive or controlling than our last, which the public was stupid enough to vote in for two terms.
Moore is a fine person, exposing what he believes are the injustices of our society. Of course it's inevitable that conservatives who hate him and his opinions would attack him, calling him "unpatriotic" and so forth. That's to be expected and disregarded.

Bush and the Republicans stepped FAR outside of the Constitution and Obama has continued, even hastened, the pace.

You're embarrassing America.
dch3348 2 years ago
Actually, Employees are NOT investors.
Please call me more names.

PatchesRips 2 years ago
@PatchesRips
LESSON #2 CLASS.
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
"Paul McCartney owns his business and is the sole reason for it's success."
Then what does he need employees for? Surely he can lick his own stamps, manage his own itinerary, fly himself to his gigs, set up the equipment, and play all the instruments on stage while he controls the floodlights with his ass... which is clearly what you're talking out of.
(cont'd)
PatchesRips 2 years ago
@PatchesRips
You missed the point again patches.
McCartney doesn't need any of the SPECIFIC employees. He could fire them all and hire new ones. He can decide to buy life insurance on them if he wants. He holds all the power.
They hold none.
They add little or no specific value.
He created ALL or MOST of the value.
It's really that simple
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
"You missed the point again patches.

PatchesRips 2 years ago
@PatchesRips

Which of the major books on Law and government are at the foundation of your opinions?
Just curious

"A business is a piece of private property."

"Capish is Ilatian slang"
Do you mean "Italian"? And no, it isn't slang; 'capice' is an actual verb in Italian that is occasionally used in an ironic sense in English to convey the question, "Do you understand?".
"but that doesn't matter."
In fact, it does, because it's indicative of how little you actually care for accuracy and the relevancy of the facts you use are here.

It's actually particularly true in your country. You may want to familiarize yourself with the concept of RICO laws.
PatchesRips 2 years ago
"You truly have no idea what the Constitution says, what it means and the definitions of private property."
I do, as a matter of fact. Can you tell me where the US Constitution actually addresses the matter of private property?
I can. It's in the Fifth Amendment, and it's mentioned in conjunction with the power of governments to seize it for just compensation by power of eminent domain. I believe Messrs. Jefferson, Madison, and Franklin had something to do with writing the Bill of Rights...
PatchesRips 2 years ago
FOR A COMMUNIST SOCIETY, THAT IS TRUE.
NOT according to our society.....
Hence the Second Amendment.

Actually, Moore uses the logic of math. If the average employee's labor is only worth, say, $30,000 anually, then a CEO making billions anually must be doing the work of thousands of employees. But since he is not, he is being overpaid. You do the math.
And you spelled capice wrong. Go back to kindergarten moron.
dch3348 2 years ago
@dch3348
FreeTheNation 2 years ago
Math has no place in business? Holy shit, you're crazier than a teabagger! Business requires math, you dumbass.
So you're an anti-mather, as it were. You want to abolish math, numbers, logic. What else? Money and markets, maybe?
You are officially the dumbest person I have ever come into contact with, bar none. Either that, or you are a very convincing troll. Epic fail, loser.

It is like betting on a horse at the track. They are betting on an employee to die, (which is a safe bet because everybody is going to die). Just like at a horse track the house should get it's 20% and the remaining 80% should go to the owners of the horse, which in this case would be the employees families.
