WOW i like Socom Confrontation but yes there is a coule problems with it. but its fun and the cameras dont really matter... THERE JUST CAMERAS!! anyway.... they should re-lease it with all the bugs fixes XD! but Confrontation was my 1st Socom and i like it socom 4 doesnt look that interesting..
@coatHANGERLOL Well, not to bash you, but if you played the older ones then you would realize how important the camera angle was. I agree, Confrontation looks more like Socom then Socom 4. It is taking a 180 degree turn away from the game that it has been known for.

@DillTurnips Just because the so called classic cam isn't a TRUE classic cam. There was an advantage to having the ovs view. You could see around corners much better than the fake classic view. I didn't really like either of them, but I just stuck to the one that better served me.

I enjoy Socom 2 like no other game in the PS2, even though I played it for year I was never really that good at it I'd get maybe 8 kills and 6 deaths in a match, but even with 4 kills and 20 deaths I'd still had fun and just kept on trying to do better in the next game, this Socom is the total opposite is frustrating, broken, not fun, slow, irritating and for some reason 90% of my kills are headshots haha...it's been over a year and still can't get over the disappointment.

Yes the game has improved, but think about this...The game was in the poorest of conditions straight out of the gate right? Well, any improvement at all would make this game better. Dude I'm with you I followed Socom from Socom 1 through the PSP versions and to this present version. your probably like me you figured WOW Socom on NEX-Gen harware, How could you screw that up. I switched to medium armor a while back and I always forget to switch it back to light. It hasn't made much difference to me. The SASR always gets me one shot, and most people get headshots in this game anyways. I think I will keep it on because once in a while I actually survive a few shots.
I can't stand Medium armor. I can't get to my spots for rushing at all and it forces a limited selection of weapons if you have Medium. You could only carry SMGs and a M4 to be remotely light enough to run.
My first kill is 10 seconds into the game at THEIR SPAWN..My second is another kill at THEIR SPAWN... My third kill is on my way back to play defense...4th kill is in the middle of the map...and the the rest of my kills are all at their spawn....SO TELL ME WHAT VIDEO YOU ARE WATCHING PAL CAUSE I SURE DON'T SEE ANYBODY CAMPING MOTHERFUCKING GOD DAMN IGNORANT FUCKING STUPID ASS RETARDED COCKSUCKER FUCKING BITCH...Ahhh...Sometimes you just have to let it out... I personally think WaW is a great game. I enjoy it more than MW2.
That's just me, of course. Some people think the same, although I'm sure a lot of people (especially those that own the 360) would prefer MW2.

There is an option in the previous socoms where you CAN make the maps smaller.
You can also remove the vehicles for a certain round.

Well first of all, I'm sorry to hear about your PS3...Thats an expensive piece of equipment... If you're thinking of buying another one JUST FOR SOCOM, then save your money. Yes the game has improved, but think about this...The game was in the poorest of conditions straight out of the gate right? Well, any improvement at all would make this game better. Dude I'm with you I followed Socom from Socom 1 through the PSP versions and to this present version. your probably like me you figured WOW Socom on NEX-Gen harware, How could you screw that up. But man they walked away from everything that made this game great. Furthermore I had so much trouble getting on line I just took the game back. This Can not be the final fate of Socom on a NEX gen system. No one will remember the other great games just this POS.

Im in a clan because I've been the leader of my clan since the early days of Socom 1. I play the game because my alternatives are worse than this IMO.
2. I enjoy the people I play with, and when the game is not totally fucking me all night, I have fun.

all that new patch did was make submachine guns way weaker, made SMG rounds skip and miss, and made some guns more powerful for no reason they made light armor so weak two bullets your dead

I switched to medium armor a while back and I always forget to switch it back to light. It hasn't made much difference to me. The SASR always gets me one shot, and most people get headshots in this game anyways. I think I will keep it on because once in a while I actually survive a few shots.

I can't stand Medium armor. I can't get to my spots for rushing at all and it forces a limited selection of weapons if you have Medium. You could only carry SMGs and a M4 to be remotely light enough to run.

My first kill is 10 seconds into the game at THEIR SPAWN..My second is another kill at THEIR SPAWN... Yeah...Im a noob. I've only been playing Socom since day 4 or 5 of Socom 1. I only racked up over 200,000 kills on Socom 2 by sucking nuts at it. Thanks for stopping by fuckface. Might have been 300,000 kills..Can't remember how many scrubs I smacked on that game.

If you dont see whats wrong with the grenade throwing in Socom, then you need a new pair of glasses dude. I DEFINATELY KNOW HOW TO THROW A GRENADE ON SOCOM. I just hate the inconsistencies. One grenade will go right where you want it, the next will go straight into the ground in front of you.(Regardless if I'm tilting the controller or not) Not to mention when it blows up right on some guys feet, and it doesn't kill him or even injure him. Don't give me that fanboy bullshit..I know how to play!

I can't forget clan matches in Socom 1 & 2, I was never the best in my clan, when I was the only one left alive on my team the feeling...the adrenaline and pressure I can't really describe how intense that was, too bad they fucked everything up with this game, I bought it the day it came out and realized this was not Socom at all is a whole different game I don't care if other people like it I've been playing Socom since 2002 and this is not Socom, what a disappointment $59.95 + tax in the trash
