@KillaLotta If you're just taking 3, then a trukk is better to keep the cost down. If you want a larger unit then the protection of a KFF-covered battlewagon will be the way to go. Either way the biggest problem is their LD7 so they probably won't pass the pinning check if they have to take one.
Say can fast vehicle move 24" or 18"? Ive seen in rulebook that they go now only 18" but in some places in internet ex. game workshop's site in apocalypse datasheet ork trukk konvoy i've seen that they move full 24"?
Last I heard he runs 6 trukks of boys and 3 full units of stormboys.
I like it, could be fun but not my style I guess. It is just so scary fast. Most lists really don't have enough different weapons to fire on 6 trukks in one turn, and with cover saves so easy to get I can see trukks making it past turn 1 pretty easily.
In 5th edition you can choose to hold any unit in reserve. In the previous edition a unit had to have a special rule to allow it being in reserve, but not anymore.
ha ha, tank shock someone off an objective, then assault them with 12 boyz ate 48 attacks!

Fast skimmers can move 24". All other fast vehicles are limited to 18"
Also if you designate a road, then all vehicles get an additional 6" movement for free.
I'll have to read it, but it could be a benefit of taking the formation.

you should do battlewagon tactics video , there one of those tanks that can take loads of upgrades and i'm not sure which ones are worth it.
Also they seem to be very popular these days , i know i want one =)

just buy a chimera then modify the hull and make a turret s it can either be a looted transport or a boom wagon

vs.ing orks i now trukks are easy to kill
+ they limit you in takeing only 12 boyz
they have to make mad LD test
stormboyz are better with wahg they can get up to 36 assault range (i hate them ^^) but both have to be played with caution

I agree that not many pts shoud be spent on them but I take grot riggas on mine.

Ahhh the first trukk I ever painted was a Gorkamorka trukk... so awesome but the boyz that came with the box set were so garbage.
