  • Love it. Have this on VHS

  • Holy crap. Look at those shots. The way the ball curves and knocks the pins. I would agree bowling is fun to watch.

  • 2 people did not bowl a perfect game

  • @HomotopyToMarie cmon man. i love this documentary but i haven't bowled a perfect yet. my high game is 278

  • WATCH OUT FOR FLYING OBJECTS

  • tenpin is more fun them fivepin

  • Loved the one with Andy Varipapa if that's how you spell it. That was also some interesting facts about bowling.

  • Holla for us old-time candlepin players. "And high scores are rare." That ain't the half of it, Chris. :) Gotta love Varipapa's dropkick too!

  • Who's the Michael Jordan of bowling?:

  • Watler ray, earl anthony, wes mallott..

  • in my opinion, its between 2 people. one is pete weber and THE greatest, EARL ANTHONY. its sad how he died, but if it wasnt for Earl Anthony's bowling instruction video, I wouldnt bowl over 100.

  • PeeWee? Ugh, don't get me started!

Earl Anthony at least behaved himself with self-control and in a dignified manner on the lanes... always fun to watch.

  • @daveyork0 You'll get plenty of arguments, some downright nasty, on this question. Many consider Earl Anthony to be the owner of that title. However, love him or hate him, Walter Ray Williams, Jr. is always considered the best as well. All in all, it comes down to a dirty debate over Earl or Walter Ray.

  • @daveyork0 I'll tell you one thing no one can deny, Earl Anthony had the smoothest, most consistent, and effortless delivery of anyone I've ever seen on the PBA Tour. Bar none!

  • i remember back in the day in queens, the one bowling center had half ten pin bowling, and half duck pin bowling you dont see that often

  • cannot believe the gutterball

  • @paradeaddict

It was a fixed match. It was purposely done.

  • please go into detail here...whats the whole backstory

  • All the buzz in the pro circles back then was what could be worth throwing the title, just to please Pete's father? Everyone knew it even then, but didn't make any noise to avoid the wrath of Dick Weber. Not until a few years later did the word get out that Dick had assured Mr. Ballard of historical note and Hall of Fame immortality as well as back-fill the difference monetarily.

  • @20alphabet

wow, thats so nuts...a shame something like that had to invade the game...thanks for the info, never knew that story

  • Although the game was originally used as a gambling draw, Eddie Elias and a few other entities pulled it out of the dregs allowing families to feel comfortable participating. The fraudulent practices didn't actually invade the game as it was always waiting in the wings for an opportunity to manifest. These guys just rolled out the red carpet and right now fraud is in full manifestation at an enormous commercial level.

  • Tremendous!!!

  • I didn't even know some of those shots were physically possible (citing the Varipapa montage)

  • ten pin rules but that one bowling in new zealand looks fun

  • 3:50...this is why Bo is one of my favorites.

  • aww i remember being 6 years old and asking my dad to get this video for me but he never did =(

    thanks for uploading it!

  • your welcome happy holidays

  • Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.
