  • This is not because someone doesn't like TDK that it means he or she's retarded.

Since the death of Heath Ledger a lot of people are afraid to say that this movie sucks because of the Hype. If you want to watch a really good movie, my friend, then watch " The Exorcist" directed by William Friedkin.

  • This movie rocks nothin' but shit !

You must be a kiddo or a dork to like it !

The story itself is not so original. There is no more Gotham City, we are in Chicago, the town of Al Capone.

Batman look likes a GI -Joe and has a lot of gadgets like James Bond. The Joker is a sick terrorist who want to hijack planes, to see the world (world trade center ?) burn. It's insane man !

The only woman in the credits get killed.

More people eat shit and more they begin to like it.

  • @PathWhite21 so the line 'some men just want to see the world burn' is a reference to the world trade center because the WTC has the word 'world' in the title. God, you've really opened my eyes. i can't believe how many sheeple think that that's completely unrelated and a retarded point only a fucking moron would make!

  • i heard that in the next movie Daniel Day-Lewis is going to play the joker since heath is gone.

  • the next movie is going to be eddie murphy as the riddler. he already got signed.

  • sure thing

  • I swear to God I'd kill myself if that were true.

    Which it's not.

  • WoW, to the comment below me. im sorry that you are theatrically retarded, and cant appreciate a good movie or art in any way. so to you this movie must have sucked, but to the rest of the world it was the best movie of 2008. but its ok, we wont judge you, we understand that you are RETARDED!!!!!!!

dont forget to take your medications :)

  • luke2672 if you hate this movie i hate you your gay in fact you made a new gay called gaymungas

  • i hated this movie it was terrible!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you have no taste in movies And if it was so fucking terrible why the fuck are you watching the trailer? WTf loser

  • How could you say that, this movie was incredible!

  • why?

  • did anyone ever consider the fact that there are more villains, the penguin, poison ivy, the riddler, harley Quinn, Mister freeze, Scarecrow, bane, Catwomen and sooo many more! that there is an endless amount of movies they can make, and unfortunatly, i dont think the joker is goin to be there, but i think he was planned to be ..

R.I.P Heath. Saw it 3 times and will again. amazing actor. should never had gone!

  • I totally agree.

  • They were thinking of having Joker in the next film, but then heath had to go kick the bucket. Two-face is dead though... Scarecrow was the first movie, and was in parts of TDK (with all the impostor batty's, he's there).

Riddler is the next movie. And in terms of others.. You're right and you're wrong. Harley Quinn (for example) Wasn't in the original series. Do you know how many nerds would freak at the idea? Like meee! =)

I've seen it a few times myself. It pushes best comic book movie ;D

  • well there is a good possiblity that two-face will be the next villan since he and harvey are too different people

  • wow...not really

  • I WANT TO SEE IT SO BAD!

  • how about they make a movie that gives life to a new character that has never been done before in a movie, like...clayface. yeah clayface would go great with the christopher nolan dark movie theme, or the ventriloquist and scarface would be another to see.

  • The only problem I have with making another Joker movie is it would be disappointing to see someone else try to portray the Joker that Heath Ledger made. It just wouldn't be right. Heath's performance was a one of a kind. I don't think there's any possible way anybody could get it right and it would ruin the movie. I think that it would be good to have a Two Face movie. He's a good villain and we can just leave the Joker out of the next one.

  • well people were saying that about jack nicholson(i hope i spelled it right) joker but then heath was better who thought that. the only reason joker is still alive and the reason lex didnt die in superman returns(which sucked) is because they going to make a justice league movie to compete with with marvels avengers movie

  • that was different, heath's joker was an entire reboot. he wasn't supposed to replace jack, he was supposed to create a whole new character

  • if there was time travel I would definitely rushed to Heath's appartment and stopped him from taking his sleeping pills.

  • couldnt agree more :( bless his soul

  • Both Brandon Lee (The Crow) and Hearth Ledger (Batman), were somewhat similar actors, due to the fact that they both played outstanding performances, and they both died young, before they reached the Hollywood Star Status.

Both would have recieved their Oscar's if they had lived.

  • only brandon couldve come close to heath as a potential man to take the spot....too bad both guys with once promising careers are now gone

  • when did they shoot this movie?

  • It will be very hard to replace Heath Ledger as the Joker, his performance was perfect and i disagree with you guys saying that it would be disrespectful to replace Heath Ledger, i mean i think it would think be disrespectful to him to not properly end the story of the villain he portrayed so flawlessly.

  • idk but when watching the movie i saw alot of facial tweeks that johny depp did in pirates so if anyone to replace heath i think depp should

  • Totally agree with u. and $10 says 2-face isnt really dead. He's too big of a villain to only be in a third of a movie, especially next to the Joker.

  • Agreed, but you need to think about it...

When I saw his wound, the first thought that came to mind was "infection." If Nolan didn't kill off two-face then, some DAMN good doctor better've picked him up, 'cause he would be dead even if the fall didn't kill him.

  • heath ledger was brillaint in this movie

  • if anyone cares to cease the bickering between one another i have information on who the canidate for the joker in the net batman film.

    Daniel Day Lewis

i don't know if it's a sure thing but yeah.

    =)

  • Interesting. Heath has different make up here and it's the same as jack Nicholson's.

  • youre wasteful comments are disrespectful. theyre not going to bring the joker back in the next movie. i assumed they were making two face as the villain in the next movie, but they made him die in this movie. so no one really knows.

  • hey if ur gonna say something like that put warning spoiler i mean come on i wouldn't want to know that before i went to see it the first time

  • Batmans not a superhero...

  • YES HE IS. HE JUST DOESNT HAVE POWERS

  • The Joker is the best Evil Dude!!!

  • id say heath is my fav just cuz its a little more real and feels a little more terrifying (it could be the makeup and freaky ass scars and white powder thats half running)

  • @29 seconds... Holy fuck.

I'm glad they didn't go with that look.

  • nobody can replace heath ledger as the joker..NO ONE!!!! heath ledger had the most amazing performance there can ever be.. he was amaaaaaaaaaazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • they won't find another person that is as good at being the joker than heath ledger

so the joker shouldn't be in any more

  • no one can be as good as heath as the joker.

so the joker shouln't be in any more movies

  • Well, who do you think it will be better to perform the joker beside Jack Nicholson and someone who can actually do a better performance than Heath Ledger?

  • yeah too bad hes dead.

  • batman is not a superhero hes just a hero cus he has no super powers oh and just saw the daek knight 2 hours ago and ledgers joker kills jacks joker , in every possible way its just outclasses jacks joker cause once u see it ull know

  • SAW THE MOVIE YESTERDAY....

    WAS FUCKING GREAT!!!!!!!!

if you live in city that has IMAX,

then go there to watch it,would be even better then your normal cinema.

  • The best movie i've bee seen for Batman. And the best performance for joker of all time, from Heath Ledger

  • Sorry but Jack was like a crazy clown kind of creepy but not like ledger He made him look like a true psichopathic mastermind and really creepy one thing jack failed to do and ive seen batman wit jack like a 1000 times so dont tell me ledger was excellent

  • It was funny becuse in the begining of the movie i new harvey was going to be twoface man he was ugly but i got disapointed cause he died

  • he doesnt die

  • no one will ever be able to top his performance he did amazing dude

  • i hope the joker doesnt die...but the next movie has two face and the riddler in it...pretty awesome...JOKER!

  • if there is a third film they should have the should but in anarky because of the politics nowadays plus he was a good guy slash bad guy it would be cool to see him on the big screne tell me what you guys think??

  • Hey I think what will happen is that it will look like Batman kills the Joker in the end, but the body wont turn up and a card will be left or something...he will just disappear into the night and thats that, except for 2-Face who will be the next big villain.

Jack Nickolson will always be the classic Old School Joker and he will he an icon with the great Batman of all time...Michael Keaton.

If they will ever make another Joker...I say Mark Hamill. Why not, he made a good Cock Knocker! LOL!

  • i thought the red around his lips was paint but in that picture it looked like cuts. the film looks so good but so scary im so glad its not over a fifteen

  • I havent got chance 2 see the film be for this does it matter if i dnt see it.

  • GOING TO THE MIDNIGHT SHOWING

  • 0:28-0:29 Heath made the Joker so sexy and hot =D

  • Oh God that apostrophe.

  • The Joker is my favorite badguy since i was a kid and Heath makes me like it even more!!

  • The joker shouldn't die. He's batman's worst enemy. They should find someone who can act like Heath Ledger for future films if the joker lives.

  • thats impossible

  • Are you fucking kidding me?

They should retire the Jokers character after this movie.

If Heath does a perfect job as the joker then we should respect the performance enough not to cast it again.

  • i think it would be great if jonnhy depp

  • True... But good luck finding a comparible substitute. I saw that movie @ 12:00 AM( the first showing) And I highly dought that there is anyone that can even compeite with the performance the Heath Ledger delivered.

  • NO ONE can act like heath in this role

  • but the thing is if anyone performs the role of the joker, we would have high expectation from that guy, and the way hedger performed in that movie , man i cant think of anyone who would take the responsibility of taking up that role

  • they had a replacement for him because he didn't finish filming who played a couple of scenes, and i never noticed it, so i guess he's up.

  • i dont think anyone could act like Heath Ledger did. its gonna be really hard for them to find someone to top his performance or even come close.

  • its rumored that daniel day lewis is supposed to take over as the roll of the joker

  • i dont think they should replace heath at all

he just IS The Joker. nobody can do it like him

  • johnny depp would be a nice joker

hes almost that strange in the real life :P

  • but the problem is that no one can

  • johnny depp

  • But Heath was one of a kind. it could be hard finding another one to replace Heath Ledger

  • i dont know, i thing this joker will be of batman 3 because if you see the movie the joker never dies(I dont Know)

  • true that xD

  • Heath is okay but Jack nicholson is my favorite joker.

  • yeh me to.

  • Yeah if you like a gay joker. Then nicholson is your man.

If you like a dark and evil joker then Heaths performance will be the best.

  • Amazing you say that BEFORE even seeing the film.

  • NO WAY JACK WAS TERRIBLE heath was incredible

  • I AM THE FUCKING JOKER

    HAHA

  • THE JOKER MUST BE FUN-CRUEL , the funniest and cruelest cynic motherfucker baddest ass ever!!! the opposite of batman! (whose al serious)

  • thats what im sayin!! people, heaths performace will be good, but for some to say that "Jacks wasent insane enogh" GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE. U obviously havent seen the movie in a while or u dont analyze character good. Jacks joker was completly crazy. He laughed at things any normal person would find awful like burning a guys face off with a buzzer, killing a museum full of people and dancing around. THATS the joker, someone who IS crazy, but has a twisted sense of humor to his crimes.

  • I agree that saying jack's joker wasn't crazy enough was ridiculas to say. But the fact Heath Ledger died after this film and his age makes it an even more twisted performance & i don't think older fans can accept the fact that as long as some other actor does't replace him in the next Batman film as the joker then he will make the role as iconic as Batman himself. In 10 years people will say Heath Ledger was the greatest joker & he'll be almost god like.

  • So true

  • yea but hes also got all these gags up his sleeve that make him seem comical. not sinister like the new joker i think heath nailed this one 110% no one will ever be able to do what heath did. did you see the new batman? this joker i think is much better then jack (jack was excellent but not as good as heath) just watch his "i can make this pen dissapear trick" and you will like him over jack.

  • Jack's was very good, in fact it was brilliant. the whole point is have fun while doing unspeakable horrors. THATS the idea of the joker. This one was just a little more dark and disturbing because jack's personality already fit the joker that the director had in mind. but HEATH was totally unexpected and it was strange seeing him do those things in this movie, thats why ppl say HE'S the ultimate joker cuz he took everyone by surprise

  • not really..heath captured the dimentia of the joker, Jack on the other hand played a cartoon version of the villian..heath actually portrayed what made the joker....a joker!

  • he didn't take me by surprise, i didn't know who he was before i saw the movie, and i still thought it was the greatest portrayal of any role ever written.

  • at least Heath Ledger is a hot joker. I prefer him over Jack Nicolson. He was old and done for. just my opinion.

  • well Im gonna guess the Joker dies in this one too but if he doesn't that'll be cool maybe open there eyes to a better played joker ey

  • How can you even say that? they won't bring back the joker in a another film... and it would be like spitting on heath ledger's corpse.

  • Not true. The character has been an icon for many years, it is no disrespect to Heath Ledger to recast the Joker. Sure it sucks, and it seems crappy to replace him...but it is not like spitting on Heath Ledger. Ledger was an actor who played the character, their will be more actors to step up to the mantle...just like The Crow.

  • nahhh but i just saw it and the guy was a hell of an ator like he did a hell of a job to replace him seems dumb i hate to see it without no joker but no that we saw this guy thats what we want and not someone else ledger did great i dont think they should re cast vut i will miss the joker

  • you're right. they can't steal his masterpiece or/and personality as the joker. P.S. : Heath was burned.

  • will whoever makes the 2nd JOkER after Heath better not be in 1 of christopher nolans movies cuz dats downright wrong...dats a real disrespect. Heath was christopher nolans joker and no 1s gunna replace dat. Of course other directors can make der own. :]

  • They can't bring the Batman franchise to a standstill because one of the actors died. Come on!

  • even if they did decide to recast him or continue on with someone else, they will never do as good a job as Heath did. they will struggle without him.

  • They have to bring the Joker back, sorry to all those who we have spoiled the movie for since they now know the Joker doesn't die. No offense, but Batman has yet to win. Sure the Joker is probably locked up, but even the ending clearly gives you the impression, the Joker won, Batman just lived. Heath Ledger will not be outdone, but unfortunately, he's not longer with us, so he has to be replaced or the story can't go on.

  • apparent Mark Hamil (Luke Skywalker) voiced the joker in a cartoon series.

  • Lighten up, you people just dont get the Joke!

    Neither did Ledger Apparently hahaha.

  • Can't wait for this movie, The first was awesome and this is going to be great, especially the Joker. The Best Joker I've ever seen. I CAN'T WAIT!

  • You can't compare the Jokers they are based on two completely different sides of the Joker from different comics. Different versions of the Joker can't be compared. Both are as brilliant, both are correct and acted perfectly. But some people haven't even read the comics to know this and are judging something they know little about. Also Joker has looked slightly different by different artists in different comics. This darker version is a lot more appealing I admit but I still love the old films

  • ok if Heath Ledger died then who's playing the new Joker?

  • There is no new Joker, Ledger died 4 months after he finished filming TDK.

  • But Heath was also cast in the third Batman (the dark knight returns) because he isn't killed in this one. They've yet to cast a new guy.

  • I heard they were considering Daniel Day Lewis to step in.

  • omg he doesnt die YAY

  • he will die. iv read it on IMDB

  • actually no where on imdb did it say that. They were originally planning to have him in the next film also. But when heath died they wrote him off. I think he somehow gets away in it

  • LOL.

  • Omg! You just gave it away! Nice.

  • nope nigga

  • He doesn't die

  • idiot

  • its a cliffhanger but they will prolly kill him off cause no one can play him like heath did

  • How do you know that? Are you right?? The confusion???

  • yes there will be

  • 0:28 - this is the real joker

  • I feel bad for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.. the studios f'd them royally on that, not to mention it seemed like Schumacher's laziest work. But I still think Clooney could have been a decent Batman with different direction. One of my biggest beefs with those two movies is how Bruce was still Bruce with the mask on, whereas Burton and Nolan were able to do the Bat justice by giving the masked version that Darker tone, and making Bruce the millionaire playboy dick he needed to pretend to be.

  • I believe this could be a better Joker.

  • I Just made an animation of Alan Moore's Last Laugh Staring AL Pacino as Batman and Robert DeNiro as Joker. It was quite surprising how well it worked! Please check it out my YOUTUBE name is WESTSIDEMEDIA

(also Have a WATCHMEN animation as well)

  • 3 reasons why Bale makes a better batman over Keaton. Bale: better looking, more athelic figure and he used two voices (1 for bruce another for batman {clever}). for me keaton would've been number 1 but.. oh well. However, keaton's character was good acting and serious not cartoonish like the other guys... one line: "the bat signal is not a beeper" ... what the fuck! that was corny. I thought I was going to be disapointed with "begins" I wasn't. i dought I'll be diasapointed with "dark night"

  • He started acting at 10 - about the time he became a dope fiend!

  • I think michael keaton is the best of all time

  • does joker even have a story on how he came to be?

  • love Nolans new dark gritty touch. just like the comics.

  • is anyone afraid that this movie isn't going to be as good as we think it is going to be and were all getting our hopes up that the movie is going to be great.

  • Still wished there would've kept Michael Keaton in Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. He was the best BATMAN ever.

    In my opinion.

    1. Michael Keaton

    2. Adam West

    3. Christian Bale

    4. George Clooney

    5. Val Kilmer

  • You're an idiot.

Michael Keaton was really good... but I would say:

    1. Christian Bale

    2. Michael Keaton

    3. Val Kilmer

    4. Adam West

    5. George Clooney

  • Agree.

  • Haha, so he's an idiot for having a different opinion than you do? Even though his #1 choice is your #2. Oookay.

  • My first batman movie I saw growing up was the first one with Micael Keaton. My two favorite characters are The Joker and Batman thats why I am so excited for this new one. However, George Clooney was the worst batman ever especially when him and Robin are fighting over ivey and he pulls out his batman visa worst fucking movie ever. I will leave home without it

    1. Michael Keaton

    2. Christian Bale

    3. Adam West

    4. Val Kilmer

    5. George Clooney

  • nah son. val kilmer made batman what it is today

  • My opinion:

    1.Christian Bale

    2.Michael Keaton

    3.Adam West

    4.Val Kilmer

    5.George Cloony

  • the new joker is like 100x better

    more creepy

  • I dont know why people are bitching about how The Joker acts in this movie, because The Joker has had so many stories told about him that not even he knows how he got the way he did, and as for The Joker's 'new' look, if im correct its not new. I believe its following a different artist but its still The Joker we all know and love

  • I agree, people need to shut their mouths about the story lines, and the Jack Nicholson comparisons.

  • bat man rules

  • very unsettling watching him in the trailer....u can tell he took this preformance to the max on and off set

  • wow can not wait when were all going to watch this film there will be a bit of sadness in us all what a tragic shame and waist of young life he lives on in this and shows us what a real actor and how diverse he was r.i.p heath.

  • ok first of all, Heath is a good actor disregards his death, which is sad to hear. When I saw the preview for the dark knight and saw part of his performance.. Wow... and at the time he wasnt even dead. So that plays no role in how good of an actor he is. Wait for the freakin movie i am sure it will amaze everyone

  • I don't know where to start...."when he did this performance he wasn't even dead"

Are you saying a corpse is the appropriate casting for the Joker cause if so, Heath would be even better in the sequel. I mean he wasn't even dead in this one

  • i cant wait for people to criticize ledger saying that the only reason people say good thinks about him its because hes dead.

anyone who saw this trailer before his dead can

tell you that he was creating something special with the joker.

  • People who think that way are too ignorant to realize Heath was nominated for an Oscar BEFORE he died. You don't receive an Academy Award nomination just for lookin' pretty. Even before his untimely death, it was quite obvious that he was something unique & special, something few had originally expected him to be... A talented, serious, multi-faceted actor who could morph into even the most challenging roles & successfully reinvent one of the most notorious characters ever.

    Jack who????

  • im gonna go to the theatres when this comes out and yell out: KILL THAT FUCKIN' CLOWN ALREADY!! every time it shows up

  • RIP Heath

  • Brandon Lee died at 31ish lets not forget his dad and mtv did an interview with jack he was pissed cuz they never approached him about a sequel but its not a sequel he'd look too old but i wished they'd sticked to the facted joker killed Bruces parents not Joe Chill all well Heath better do good its sad i wanna see it even more since his death and forgot who he was cuz the make-up and he doesn't have his accent in this movie

  • joker kill his parents? Nolan isnt JUST making a batman movie just to put him on the big screen. Tim Burtons way of having joker kill bruce's parents was just a cheap way to tie his already mess of a story together. Dont get me wrong aside from nolan's batman begins the original Burton movie was the only other i liked. but it was just completly inaccurate.

The Begins Franchise is almost a play by play of the comics. As far as i know joe chill was the original murderer of Thomas and Martha Wayne.

  • stop being such a tool. the way tim burton had the waybes killed was done much much better and was more ffective. the new one was too fast, too quick, and no good music to back up the emotion. lil tike bruce just sittin there in the most clich stance ever. cmon, give credit where credit is due, burton did this scene better. heck, burtons batman owns nolans boring version.

  • "nolan's boring version"

Buton is a fruity as hell director that likes doing weird things just for the sake of being weird. He needs to lay off the drugs. Jack Nicholson is the only thing that saved that film. Nolan is a far better director and Batman Begins was superior to the original in every way. There was not one wasted moment in that movie, as it is with all his films.

  • well your talking about two different batmans, nolans batman is based an the charcter from frank millers "batman: year one" which is a character full of angst. burtons idea of batman was good but nolans seems alot more rooted and real, i think chrstian bales doing an amazing job and is not boring at all..in lamens terms hes a bad ass

  • i second that, plus, nolan's batman looks goofy

  • tim burton sucks i liked his batman movie but when i saw begins his was a complete joke compared tp begins.

  • i second that

  • Yeah you're right, it's better Batman Begins than the other one, but Tim Burton doesn't suck, he is a wonderful director! Better than Christopher Nolan, even though Cahristopher's Nolan Batman movies kick ass!

  • R.I.P. heath

  • im sure...that he remained being the joker..for a time after he finished the movie... today i saw nicholson saying...i warned him... surely he gave him and advice..of what i meant to play the joker..

    rip heath

  • heath nails the joker.WOW./RIP

  • Was the film completed? I do hope they continue to release it.

Sooo sad just like Brandon Lee, River Phoenix, James Dean etc and many more young talented lives gone in thier 20's

  • what made the joker become the joker anyway?

  • The Joker became the joker becuase of his mother. he turn evil and psychotic becuase his mother abused him. in the jokers later days he falls into a huge drum of a substance called Brand X. Which the city created for mental hospitals around gotham city. This is how the joker became the joker.

  • The Joker tells a different story everytime he's asked how he became The Joker. There IS NO REAL STORY. All we know is at some point he fell in a vat of something that cooked his face to what we see. All the rest is just Joker being freaking nuts. He is beyond intelligence, an embodiment of chaos with moments of terrible lucidity that are aroused by pain, death and torture. He is everything that hides inside a human psyche, every dark edge come to terrifying life.

  • Thats also how the power puff girls came to be. The only difference is that it was their evil father muahahah.

    lol jk jk.

  • Hey guys... in the Dark Knight, the Joker never mentions anything about falling into any chemicals. The scars on his face were given to him by his father.. exactly how/why... he gives different explanations but it was his father that did it to him. That's why he hates his father so much.

  • "He who Laughs Last . . . Laughs Best" - Alan Moore's The Killing Joke 1988

    RIP Heath

Glad to work with you on Set

  • RIP heath ledger

  • I wish I could laugh like the joker...

  • Me 2 lol. Work on it like Heath did for a month

  • Well, well...I don't like Heath much but..I've to say that he looks fucking attractive as Joker.

Anyways, Nicholson was a great Joker and I am curious about how Ledger will play the Joker.

I think we can't compare them because there are two different interpretations of the Joker. So, let's see what Ledger can offer and THEN let's judge. Not the other way round, that's not fair. Let's give him a fucking chance.

  • I agree, Jack is like a godfather in the movie industrie and he always played the bad guy best. Batman (1989) is my personal favorite bat movie and not even Batman Begins can match that masterpiece. But yes, let's give mr. Ledger a chance and see how it all turns out.

  • I'd never thought I would say this, but this Joker looks more psycho than the one played by Jack Nicholson oO
