You can't compare the Jokers they are based on two completely different sides of the Joker from different comics. Different versions of the Joker can't be compared. Both are as brilliant, both are correct and acted perfectly. But some people haven't even read the comics to know this and are judging something they know little about. Also Joker has looked slightly different by different artists in different comics. This darker version is a lot more appealing I admit but I still love the old films

I feel bad for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.. the studios f'd them royally on that, not to mention it seemed like Schumacher's laziest work. But I still think Clooney could have been a decent Batman with different direction. One of my biggest beefs with those two movies is how Bruce was still Bruce with the mask on, whereas Burton and Nolan were able to do the Bat justice by giving the masked version that Darker tone, and making Bruce the millionaire playboy dick he needed to pretend to be.

3 reasons why Bale makes a better batman over Keaton. thats what im sayin!! people, heaths performace will be good, but for some to say that "Jacks wasent insane enogh" GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE. U obviously havent seen the movie in a while or u dont analyze character good. Jacks joker was completly crazy. He laughed at things any normal person would find awful like burning a guys face off with a buzzer, killing a museum full of people and dancing around. THATS the joker, someone who IS crazy, but has a twisted sense of humor to his crimes.

I agree that saying jack's joker wasn't crazy enough was ridiculas to say. But the fact Heath Ledger died after this film and his age makes it an even more twisted performance & i don't think older fans can accept the fact that as long as some other actor does't replace him in the next Batman film as the joker then he will make the role as iconic as Batman himself. In 10 years people will say Heath Ledger was the greatest joker & he'll be almost god like.

Jack's was very good, in fact it was brilliant. the whole point is have fun while doing unspeakable horrors. THATS the idea of the joker. This one was just a little more dark and disturbing because jack's personality already fit the joker that the director had in mind. but HEATH was totally unexpected and it was strange seeing him do those things in this movie, thats why ppl say HE'S the ultimate joker cuz he took everyone by surprise

Not true. The character has been an icon for many years, it is no disrespect to Heath Ledger to recast the Joker. Sure it sucks, and it seems crappy to replace him...but it is not like spitting on Heath Ledger. Ledger was an actor who played the character, their will be more actors to step up to the mantle...just like The Crow.

They have to bring the Joker back, sorry to all those who we have spoiled the movie for since they now know the Joker doesn't die. No offense, but Batman has yet to win. Sure the Joker is probably locked up, but even the ending clearly gives you the impression, the Joker won, Batman just lived. Heath Ledger will not be outdone, but unfortunately, he's not longer with us, so he has to be replaced or the story can't go on.

You can't compare the Jokers they are based on two completely different sides of the Joker from different comics. Different versions of the Joker can't be compared. Both are as brilliant, both are correct and acted perfectly. But some people haven't even read the comics to know this and are judging something they know little about. Also Joker has looked slightly different by different artists in different comics. This darker version is a lot more appealing I admit but I still love the old films

I feel bad for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.. the studios f'd them royally on that, not to mention it seemed like Schumacher's laziest work. But I still think Clooney could have been a decent Batman with different direction. One of my biggest beefs with those two movies is how Bruce was still Bruce with the mask on, whereas Burton and Nolan were able to do the Bat justice by giving the masked version that Darker tone, and making Bruce the millionaire playboy dick he needed to pretend to be.

3 reasons why Bale makes a better batman over Keaton. Bale: better looking, more athelic figure and he used two voices (1 for bruce another for batman {clever}). for me keaton would've been number 1 but.. oh well. However, keaton's character was good acting and serious not cartoonish like the other guys... one line: "the bat signal is not a beeper" ... what the fuck! that was corny. I thought I was going to be disapointed with "begins" I wasn't. i dought I'll be diasapointed with "dark night"

My first batman movie I saw growing up was the first one with Micael Keaton. My two favorite characters are The Joker and Batman thats why I am so excited for this new one. However, George Clooney was the worst batman ever especially when him and Robin are fighting over ivey and he pulls out his batman visa worst fucking movie ever. I will leave home without it

ok first of all, Heath is a good actor disregards his death, which is sad to hear. When I saw the preview for the dark knight and saw part of his performance.. Wow... and at the time he wasnt even dead. So that plays no role in how good of an actor he is. Wait for the freakin movie i am sure it will amaze everyone

People who think that way are too ignorant to realize Heath was nominated for an Oscar BEFORE he died. You don't receive an Academy Award nomination just for lookin' pretty. Even before his untimely death, it was quite obvious that he was something unique & special, something few had originally expected him to be... A talented, serious, multi-faceted actor who could morph into even the most challenging roles & successfully reinvent one of the most notorious characters ever.

joker kill his parents? Nolan isnt JUST making a batman movie just to put him on the big screen. Tim Burtons way of having joker kill bruce's parents was just a cheap way to tie his already mess of a story together. Dont get me wrong aside from nolan's batman begins the original Burton movie was the only other i liked. but it was just completly inaccurate.
The Begins Franchise is almost a play by play of the comics. As far as i know joe chill was the original murderer of Thomas and Martha Wayne.

Buton is a fruity as hell director that likes doing weird things just for the sake of being weird. He needs to lay off the drugs. Jack Nicholson is the only thing that saved that film. Nolan is a far better director and Batman Begins was superior to the original in every way. There was not one wasted moment in that movie, as it is with all his films.

The Joker tells a different story everytime he's asked how he became The Joker. There IS NO REAL STORY. All we know is at some point he fell in a vat of something that cooked his face to what we see. All the rest is just Joker being freaking nuts. He is beyond intelligence, an embodiment of chaos with moments of terrible lucidity that are aroused by pain, death and torture. He is everything that hides inside a human psyche, every dark edge come to terrifying life.

I agree, Jack is like a godfather in the movie industrie and he always played the bad guy best. Batman (1989) is my personal favorite bat movie and not even Batman Begins can match that masterpiece. But yes, let's give mr. Ledger a chance and see how it all turns out.
