The new singer deserves much respect for stepping up to the huge challenge of taking the place of Tarja, but deep inside I miss Tarja's passion, unique beauty, maturity, and voice that could never be duplicated, to me the new nightwish feels like its missing just that

Nevertheless, they're still one of my favorite bands but we will always miss the original voice that used to be nightwish when I heard them for the first time.

I'm still their fan and I support them 100% they are still wonderful.

objectively Tarja's voice is much better,and the result was magic,it had such a great feeling,their music had soul.that doesn't mean that we must hate Anette.2 absolutely different voices.but now it's not the same,they don't have that magic.they had their reasons to stop their collaboration something that tarja was thinking.SO SAD.and maybe they chose Anette who is completely something else so the next songs don't remind tarja.I believe they were sad too.maybe the comparison never stop

If Tarja had to sing bye bye beautiful she would suck monkey balls at it, and with Anette it is a great song (like this one is with Tarja). They both have an amazing band to perform with and an amazing composer. Nightwish still is special, just different. Deal with it while I enjoy their songs, old and new.

I love Tarja, but for some reason, I don't like the way she sings here. It sounds silly. I loved the rich, soprano tone she used to have :) imo I think the best performance of this song, was the 2003 one.

@killercrystal You'll see a difference. Tarja had stated in the past, that in late 2003 into 04, she went to have more training done, so she could sing brighter and have a higher range. She didn't like the dark timbre she had. So from 2003 on back, she used to have a dark, mezzo-soprano range. From 04 on, she has a full soprano range ;) But I liked the mezzo more.
