i went to a meeting with my parents; they were funding him to build a block of units. He rele was like a normal guy.

My parents went to Singapore with him on a business trip (they had to pay) and he convinced them to get rid of our holden and buy a new lexus.

When we found out about him, he'd gotten 100's of 1000s of dollars from us, and we had to move house because we couldnt afford to live at the old house.

A bankrupt former property "mentor" has been charged with fraud amid allegations he swindled investors out of $2.3 million.

Andrew Carr faced Brisbane Magistrates Court last Friday on 16 separate charges following investigation into his business dealings by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Carr obtained $2,314,500 from investors for the construction of an apartment complex.

Instead of constructing the property, Carr allegedly funnelled the money into his business ventures.

No doubt, but watching this all over again I still find it hard to believe people would jeopardise years of careful saving and investment for a couple of high pressure sales tactics.

Yeah, I know what you mean, and I don't believe anyone with a reasonable amount of wisdom would've fallen for such blatant, sly tactics.

- But I happen to of met a fair few of the people who were present during major parts of his scam; and it seems that the group dynamic was (and is) one that exudes a sense of Family, Hype, and unquestionable respect for their "infallible" leaders - A cult, basically. And so it was a Perfect set-up for Andrew to perform his scams.
