  • According to Wikipedia the boiling point of methanol is 65 °C, 338 K, 149 °F

  • Its awesome that the wick resembles your hat

  • i am thinking of getting this stoves. it would be great if you could have a size comparison of all of your wick stoves and also with them lit to help me pick the right stove for my needs

  • 1:24-1:25..that's what she said

  • i want one

  • what is the boil time?

  • You might get one of those non-contact electronic thermometers that would tell the actual surface temps.

Harbor Freight usually has them for $30

You would have a lot of fun with it.

  • Simple... efficient... and clever. Great design!

  • I like it.

  • @minibulldesign. This appears to be shorter than the regular M2. Can you use the 4 loop pot stand or do you recommend the 5 loop?

  • yay u used my naming addition miso lol

  • What's the degradation rate of the carbon wick and the silicone insulator? Do they wear out?

  • I'm sure you understand the point of my question. If a thermal block isn't needed, then anyone can make a wick stove out of a cut down moose can and some carbon felt. Thanks for the demo, it shows that the alcohol isn't boiling. Good job.

  • 1 more questions will the M5 top you sell fit on this MISO?

  • I own a M5 what is the heat range difference? The fuel line being exposed is that a issue if dropped on a rock in the field?

  • Now I look what you have done!

Ive had to buy it now!!

  • Great design there Tinny.
