  • I really need a answer to my question, I asked so many times but never get any answer. My aanswer is I have hip problem so I can not do squats and leg press but I wan't to build mass in my legs but I Do not know how without squads and leg press. Do you know any alternatives for building mass on the legs? I really wanna build mass so.

  • @dimivc I have 3500 people wanting answers to questions. Unfortunately I do have a life and cant just sit down all day and help 3500 individual people. I have to make a living and spend time doing many things each week. ITS WHY I WROTE MY BOOK. I am not a sports injury/ therapist specialist and cannot answer your question. Sorry

  • guys ..forget all these vids... to get legs.. squat.....its so easy to say but hard to do and everyone wants to avoid it hoping someone will say they dont have to do em

  • this guy goes to the same gym as me

  • what's the best mass building exercise for shoulders according to you?

  • PRESS

  • Well... actually... Romantic Brothers - FLOWERS - is absolutely hilarious for dance. Its my i-pod fabulous favorite! U must try it:) anyway good workout!

  • do u lift till failiar on all the last sets of your exercises and do u use the pyrmid teqnique on all ur exercises?

  • pyramid

  • Hey Rico, what's your max smith squat? Ronnie Coleman did 800 pounds for two reps...

Oh and what's your leg press max? Ronnie did 2300 pounds, the world record!

    How much can you bench?

  • never tried a max in any exercise.......i lift to be healthy

  • why would you start on a minor muscle machine only working quads?

  • amazing gym

  • can u post a video doing smith squats?

  • i need workouts for my ankles cuz i just broke them and want 2 get them stronger

  • you know any good workouts that will make my knees stronger and make me jump higher

  • hey rico..should i do legs or cardio 1st if i wanna do both on the same day?

  • always weights first

  • hahaha the hoo-rah part made me laugh

  • I'm currently using a Gym that my sister-in-laws company allows usage for for 30$ a year until I can get my Driver's License and some money for a bigger gym membership,

For legs they have a Seated Leg Extension, a Seated hip Adduction, and a hip flexion (Opposite of hip Adduction) Do you think with some added in Dumbbell Squats and some dumbbell Calf Raises It would make a decent workout?

  • mmmmm i do exactly the same routine... but is there any other exercise besides the "squad" for bigger "but" :P??? and... should i do it once or twice every week?? thanks if you answer... n sorry about my english :B

  • smith squat is great......once or twice its up to you

  • I like your workout videos better then the others on youtube. Thanks for the tips.

  • thanks so much bro

  • hey, you use a pyramid system because your an expert. what about beginner or intermediate

  • beginner is in the book

  • hey..lets say your working out your legs. is your high set rate the first set of the WHOLE ENTIRE leg work out..or is it the first set of each workout

  • second

  • hey so u do 3 sets of each exercise (warmup, medium, heavy) and all these exercises each workout day? or only a few of the ones in the vid?

  • all

  • Rico when i go to the gym i do a 7- 10 min warm up on a cardio machine then do weights. Is that bad? Should i just do the light weight hight rep set first instead?

  • do both!

  • the first excercise is bad for your knees though... but besides that good stuff!

  • Keep up the good work with your videos Rico, appreciate that, it helped me a lot, thank you

  • my pleasure bro!

  • hey rico, weight training wont stun my growth rite? i m currently 16 years old. Ive been training for about 6 months and seen great results thanks to ur vids.

btw, im kenneth rox from facebook. :)

  • hell no

  • just dont use super heavy weights

  • super heavy weights meaning weights i can lift for 4-7 reps? or weights that i cant lift up with gud form?

  • both

  • 8-12 reps will do? and the last 1 or 2 reps will be extremely difficult to lift rite? is dat gud?

  • perfect

  • rico wat leg workouts should i do 2 increase n improve my running speed and quickness?

  • Should I work lower body one day? And then upper body the next time I work out?

  • rico...i have a question...i have very skinny legs..no matter how much i workout my legs...they dont seem 2 get bigger..or more muscular..do u have any suggestions 2 help me increase my legs' size?

  • mine were bird legs too! Heavy weights and do legs twice a week.......slow growth....

  • yo rico so ill do 12 sets for quads, 12 sets for hams? dam 24 sets for a leg workout would be painful though.

  • noo........only 12 sets for all of your leg workout....watch it again

  • it had never occurred to me to exercise all diff parts of chest or any large muscle for that matter in a single workout, with only one max weight set.

i am very anxious to try it out, as it seems like the key Ive been missing all these years.

don't let these people bust on you for using machines, they don't anything. they hear stuff and make judgments, they've never been out there experiencing what works and what doesn't.

  • I do my thing bro and obviously it works! Thanks

  • hey rico. ive been doing weight training for about 7 years now. my goal is just general health.

my father is just like you, he is 59 years old and still hits the gym 3-4 times a week and is in great physical condition.

what you say here is damn good advice and correlates majority of what my father says and what i have discovered by myself over the years.

  • Thanks very much bro!

  • wadda you know waster

  • Awesome Routine Rico! Is it bad to lift Legs and Upperbody on the same day? (Example)Say Legs 7am then Chest and Tri's 6pm?

  • you could do it but two-a-days are pretty intense

  • Thanks. I also have another question, what is the best alternative to the hack squat machine becuase my gym also does not have that machine

  • the machine that looks like a bench press but the weight goes in a fixed linear position. the bench should not be attached so just slide the bench out then do your squats on that.

  • yeah but its also useful having a bench there when ur doin squats on that machine....say u want to hit that "teardrop" muscle...dont know what its called but the closer u have ur feet together the more it works it out...if ur not used to it....the weight could be too much and u collapse and totally mess urself up....the bench would catch you if anything....and u can open up your legs and lift up the bar again since ur using moe muscle this time to lift up the bar back to the original position

  • hey rico your awesome. i have a question....do you workout everyday or just 4 days a week?

  • weights are four workouts per week with cardio also

  • i appreciate how you are trying to help people but it seems like your main focus is to sell your book

  • Obviously the best way to help people is to give them ALL OF THE INFORMATION they will need to change their lives! This is to show people that I know what I'm talking about. Yes it is! I want people to have the knowledge to change their lives by reading my book! Selling this book isn't going to make me rich by any means. Ask any author. These are just tidbits of info on You Tube. The book can and will change lives so YES I want people to better their lives by buying my book.

  • does it matter witch calf exercise you do or should it be both?

  • do a sitting and a standing...both

  • what are the benefits of doin squats on a machine like that vs. a bar

  • it takes your back out of it so you won't compress or strain it

  • i absolutely hate the hack squat machine, whats the best alternative for it?

  • we always hate the weak body part....conquer the negative beliefs about it bro!

  • its the truth, its so much of a pain to go all the way down :O

  • dont.......go 90 degrees

  • My friend(who is a bodybuilder, by the way) recently had his jaw broken and now has to have it wired shut. He's terrified that he's gonna start losing weight, being on an all-liquid diet. Is there any way for him to maintain his muscle mass without eating solid food?

  • Obviously protein shakes will be no problem. I liquified my meals in a blender when I had my jaw broken many years ago, including chicken breasts and all!

  • O_O didn't they taste like throwup? And what kind of exercises would you reccomend for people who only get 20 minutes in the weight room, because their gym teacher is an evil sadist?

  • LMAO! haaaa You gotta do what you gotta do baby! 20 min is almost impossible unless you want to do a circuit - one set of each body part, one after the other with medium weight... more of an aerobic workout

  • when I do the Standing Calf Raise I find my feet slip off the standing part of the machine :\

  • move them a little in on the stand more.

  • dose eating unhealthy weaken your muscle ore slows down musscle growth like icecream ore chocalate not all the time but just once a day

  • having a bit of sugary food once in awhile won't kill you. Eating consistently healthy enables you to be in a state for optimal muscle growth. It's my advice to stay away from dairy completely.

  • I have to disagree. Everyone should look into Raw Dairy products and see the health benefits that they have. No one should be getting any dairy from your local grocery store at all because of the side effects. Ever wonder why your allergies are so bad? It could be your milk!

  • Hey Rico, How can you tell when muscle has been ripped for growth? is it the pain? i usually get those the day after work out but lately i havent been feeling much pain from the work out routines you showed in your video. i am a 130 pound kid with a height of 5 foot 7 inches. any suggestions would be awesome.

  • Pain is bad. Soreness is good. You don't have to experience either to grow. If you are training with intensity and TRAIN TO FAILURE ON THE LAST SET OF EACH EXERCISE, YOU WILL GROW WITH PROPER REST AND NUTRITION

  • Thanks for the video! We appreciate it!!

  • Thanks for doing this, I was going to request some lower body workout vids from you. :-)

  • Im a Personal Trainer, and you are the FIRST person I have come across to actually know what there talking aobout! Keep up the great work and continue to give great advice.

  • I'm self trained in all aspects and I learned them through passion. I really appreciate your comments bro!

  • what is considered a "minor" muscle group? i've always thought calves were but in this vid u said u do 4 sets for those.

    thanks.

  • chest and back and legs are major

    tric, bic, forearms, calves minor

I do three set each of sit down and stand up for calves

  • is it true that lifting weights can stop you growth

  • It's an old wife's tale. You shouldn't use heavy weights when you are very young though.

  • do recomend runing to grow cabs when i run i us the most incline posible as in i make as steep as much as i can what do u think?? email me!!

  • NO bro. You don't see long distance runners with big calves. All their muscle is eaten up by too much aerobic activity. Calf raises (sit down and standing) are the way. Anaerobic, not aerobic.

  • But moderate aerobic activity after workout helps in aiding recovery of muscles. Right?

How many hours of aerobic exercise do you do a week?

  • NO. REST helps recuperation and a sugary protein shake immediately after.

  • Impressed, monday I'll be training my legs. *****, nothing more to say bro.

  • Yet again, another awesome vid by Rico. Your changing my life every day dude.

Rico is like the Mr.Miyagi of total health. No pain, no gain Daniel son. lol

  • Rico!! Big fan here. Another awesome video brother. I'm so psyched with your tips. Keep em' coming.

  • Great vids Rico, keep them coming you, are an inspiration to us all.

  • Excellent Rico. Get that book out already!!!

  • Hey Rico,

Great Video. All you videos are Excellent.

Is it possible you can make a few videos with the weights you work out with and show us the intensity we need to work to get more muscle? The videos would also show correct form when using heavy weights.

    Thank you for your help.

  • yes I will try to. Great idea.

  • hey random question, do pple stare at ur camera?? lol it will b funny u talking and pple on the back ground staring

one more thing, u should of added runing because my friend use to b fat and then he joined this baseball team and lost all his body fat and gained alot of leg muscle especially his caps

  • I try to focus on one topic at a time on each video

  • good going rico.thanks for the vid's

  • first! awesome video rico.
