  • You don't understand what it's like to have ADHD. If I didn't take my Vyvanse 50mg a day, I'd be getting C's and D's in school just like I used too before I took it. On it, I can finally get A's. You have no idea how impossible it is to function without it. I NEED it or else I can't be a part of society.

  • I dont know anyone who takes adderall who isnt just looking for a quick fix.

  • Of course theres no long term positive effects of psycho stimulants, ADHD is life long....

  • ive been studying this topic for over a year now. this video is incredibly biased and not at all representative of all research being done on the topic.

  • these comments are all written by a bunch of addicted patients. Obviously amphetamines are going to benefit you and how you function, regardless of whether you have ADHD or not, period.

  • @SekcNiNjAoo Why addicted? They are going to benefit you and how you function regardless if they have ADHD or not. I agree with you but don't understand why you say they are addicted.

  • I have a high IQ but the ADHD slows me down and makes school and life much more difficult than it need be, the way i look at it is if you have bad vision would you not get glasses? to have 20/20 vision like everyone else, same thing for adhd meds with them you are no longer at a disadvantage

  • Why are you trying to demonize the ADHD drugs that literally saved my life?

I may be totally addicted to my beloved Desoxyn, but it sure as hell beats being dead, which is where I would be had I never found amphetamines, they help me function like a normal person.

Now I survive and financially thrive!

Go to Hell with whatever anti-drug, pro-Scientology agenda you people are peddling for monetary gain, you should ashamed of your actions, planting seeds of skepticism in people looking for answers.

  • Go Natalie! I am glad to hear this coming out now. I can't believe psychologists have farmed their jobs to to drugs. I have never seen this work for anyone ever in my life. Most of the time people need some kind of crutch or excuse. Mostly it's entitled people: lame. I have never met a child without ADD in the right circumstance. Coping is a dead term, isn't it?

  • you have ADHD bitch? I doubt it. Don't tell us what we should do. I take Vyvanse because without it, I'm completely jumbled, hyper, and ridiculous. You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. ADHD is a lasting thing, medication is a temporary solution. You can't change the way someone's brain works. Therapy wouldn't fucking work you asshole. That's why schizophrenics take meds, or why bipolar people take meds. I'm running out of room on this comment. Bottom line, you're stupid.

  • People with adhd scrolled down and started reading the comments and forgot about the bitch who is rambling on for ten minutes about like.. newspapers or some shit x) Seriously, dont read me the fucking newspaper. Just because its on paper doesnt make it any more reliable than something that would be on TV. I honestly cant tell you how wrong you are about ADHD meds. They help, you take them everyday like youd take vitamins, and if you grow more immune you up your dosage.

  • Im just pissed because they were smart enough to give me prescribed meth in a form i cant get fucked up on :/ fuck you vyvanse x(

  • explains why im so short

  • add and adhd are made up and then they give u meth end of story xD

  • What are people with ADHD supposed to do then!!!

  • I really want to learn about ADHD and my health........... but ur too goddamn sexy.

  • What a one-sided observational analysis.

All of her data supporting innuendos of conspiracy is coming from big corps like NIH and FDA (*AS SHE SAYS), the latter of which helps SELL YOU the drugs in the first place. Does this girl even know about the BAYER HIV DRUGS scandal?

Amphetamines stunt growth especially during adolescent phase because it suppresses your appetite.

If Jack killed your friend, would you be okay with Jack doing an investigation of the murder?

    Please read some real research.

  • @unnecessaryremarks I agree, these companies are far from moral, and the medication can be dangerous. It's why their scheduled chemicals, they are not safe to be toying around with and many doctors are incompetent with them. Thus why I said; we can't stay where we're at, this disorder can and will be solved permanently and without contraindication.

  • This woman is fucking stupid.

The claim that ADD stimulants will stunt a child's growth hasn't been proven. While there has been a trend of slowed growth, the reason for this is pretty simple: Stimulants suppress appetite. As we all know, eating food is completely nessasary for healthy growth. So, stunted growth on stimulants s can be simple avoided by just making sure you eat.

FDA states that acetaminophen (Tylenol) causes 458 deaths a year, no one points that out. How about Reyes and Asprin?

  • Nice tits. Looks like you are pretty healthy and lift weights. Your shoulders and arms are in shape.

  • ive been perscribed some sort of stimulant since i was 5 and i am 6'3'' and 200lbs. im not to convinced on ur argument.

  • she should watch the video psychiatry silent killer than she may have a better idea for the source of problem as american psycohology association lol

is she a nutrutionist???dietician??holistic practicioner??just has a degree from pschology ?? what is the back ground nowadays anyone can read what is hard core information here practical knowledge ///why she cannot refer direct laws //even parents consent is not necessary for students to be screened and persribed such meds well nice sale

  • I was on Concerta for 6 months and have gone off and I feel more confused, nervous and tired than before going on the drug. I also have trouble sleeping at night.

What should I do? Can anyone help?

  • @Bobby33425 Have you tried L-Theanine?

  • @Bobby33425 don't worry it will clear up after a few weeks or so, its a drug withdrawal, i've gone through it myself, also talk to a doctor.

  • @MichealKeene420 i went off in june of 2009, should the withdrawal have stopped by now?

  • @Bobby33425 oh shit, well in that case it may not be drug withdrawal, your adhd may have progessed further, or you may have lost some coping ability depending on the concerta, my experience was much different, you may want to talk to a doctor, it could be that it caused some brain damage and you may have been over drugged, good luck with it man i hope it clears up, have you tried using ginseng or caffeine, both can be beneficial to caffeine and are nowhere near as harsh, might take off the edge

  • We talked with the ducktor with questions and concerns - AND HE LIED TO ME! He outright lied - I feel that what I've learned elsewhere was far more credible than his bullcrap, and it contradicts him. So trust went out the window! And we are being pressured to go to a doctor by the stupid school people. Makes me want to HOME SCHOOL!

  • i dont think shes talking about aderrall or concerta or anything like that, but shes talking about desoxyn which is a drug similair to meth which helps with ADHD and everything shes saying are characteristics of it. barely anyone uses this drug...

  • people dont like to hear what she has to say cause its true its ony a money making scam make docs and drug companies rich

  • this bitch needs to shut the fuck up, how can u say this shit about these drugs when you have never tried them, its a good thing u have nice tits tho

  • It seems unfair that one person should be so smart and so adorable.

  • BORING @_@

  • Ive been taking adderall for about a year now, im 15 years old. im supposed to be growing!? i havent grown a centimeter in a year.. i weighed 126 when i started taking it, now , a year later, i weigh 128. Ive even been trying to gain weight! Ive been working out like crazy and eating loads of protein.. nothing

  • @sk8erlife13605 ya i work out allot and i have no mucle gain

  • Are you using a green screen?

  • Also all medicines have risks. ALL EVERYTHING YOU DO HAS A RISK. Its about measuring the benefits vs the risks. This video is MISINFORMATIVE. She's twisting real data and putting it in lamens terms that MISINTERPRET the data. Nutrition has little effect on ADHD I have gone off sugar completely and it makes no dif. I eat healthy and IT MAKES NOT DIF. The only thing that works sorta are those fish oil supplements. Even "natural" things have side effects. Drink too much water and you can die.

  • @finchrocks215

I took the drug for a short period to quell my ADHD. And it may have permanently stunted my growth.

Do you have ADHD? Really? Cause when I took that "medicine", it completely retarded my personality and communicative abilities.

If I have a child with ADHD I will never put them on any drug to "treat" it whatsoever.

  • @Reghedable It is obvious most people don't understand mental disease. Unlike physical diseases that can be cured or treated with drugs and then a person can see results. Mental diseases are different, as they are SUPPOSED to mess with your head. In essense everyone reacts differently to the drug. I have been taking Concerta for 2 weeks now with complete success. I don't feel like a Zombie because I have a positive outlook and I WANT to be productive.

  • @Reghedable Dude i feel the exact same way. Same thing happened to me.

  • OK I was diagnosed with adhd. Those pppl who claim conspiracies about people brain washing us are to be blunt.. IDIOTS. Someone told my parents when I was young these lies and It took 2 car accidents, getting fired from multiple jobs, failing classes in college even though i have a 140 IQ. This is a clear problem for me in essense im not normal I talk alot.. (like alot alot) and it makes me socially weird. These ppl claim conspiracies and try to SELL you their crap. Meds work. The end.

  • Correct. Prescription medications DO have the highest probability of helping with ADHD. Try the "alternative treatments" if you want, but just know that statistically speaking, they tend not to work as well (or at all) as the prescription medications. Sorry if that offends people, and sorry if that's not what you want to hear but those are the facts. And having said that, taking ADHD medications did get me to a place mentally where I could try alt treatments and have some success with them.

  • This video is totally misrepresenting the facts and reality. Saying that "ADHD medications have no long term effectiveness" is like saying that "asprin has no long term effectiveness." If you take an asprin today, and then you get a headache again 3 years from now, does that mean that the asprin didn't work when you took it? Of course not, because it's a short-acting med--just like ADHD meds. They're only effective for 6-12 hours. That's why you take them every day. Get a clue lady.

  • For what it's worth, according to the FDA, of the millions of kids taking ADHD meds, over 13 YEARS there were 27 cardiac deaths reported in kids taking ADHD meds. (Not proven cause and effect, but just that they died AND were on ADHD meds.) Yes it's tragic when a person dies, but compare that to the 20k+ people who die every single year from supposedly "safe" over the counter NSAIDs such as asprin, advil, and ibuprofen! You're thousands of times more likely to die from asprin than ADHD meds.

  • @AttentionHandbook Interesting, I'll verify this in my research later on. Thanks.

  • @finchrocks215 No ADHD is bullshit. Kids in my school fail classes and are lazy piles of shit and they try to blame it on some "disease". I don't fucking buy it. Its an excuse people use when there to damn lazy to pay attention or try. Its not hard to pay attention at all.

  • @KevJumbaify you will never understand

  • @81hisgirl Oh I do. Your more than likely lacking something in your diet or lacking sleep. Lack of sleep and improper diet have been PROVEN to cause depression and ADHD.

  • Comment removed

  • Haha ok Marcus.

  • @KevJumbaify No, this is incorrect. Dietary factors are involved, for example certain chemicals can make certain features of ADHD worse. Removing said chemicals will not cure ADHD nor will it effectively treat it, but it can take the edge off. Normal people can get the same chemicals in their body, and will not respond in such ways. ADHD is illness, no one that is known has the cause(or causes) perfectly pinned down. Even if they did know the cause, setting things right is a different matter.

  • @KevJumbaify First said children are lazy piles of shit, then their just eating improperly? You're not thinking rationally.

  • @MedicsWorld Um yea? It makes sense. I was saying they are lazy and try to blame it on a disease when there actually is no disease, it may just be something their lacking in their diet. It most likely is the lack of diet and exercise. Look up the studies, kids who lack Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and were diagnosed with ADHD were given supplements to bring their levels back up, and their ADHD diminished. You gotta understand what the other person is saying before you try to argue, ignorance.

  • @KevJumbaify I've taken Omega 3's for ADHD, they are slow acting and not always effective nor do they leave permanent results. Thus they cure nothing, thus it's not the source of the problem. And deficiency IS disease and is not always caused by not gobbling down one or two bottles of fish oil every month. Last I checked, normal people who can focus don't need to do that. Truth is you backtracked to something intelligent probably due to a belief induced mood swing making you say something cruel.

  • @MedicsWorld It's not only a deficiency is Omega Fats. Deficiencies in B Vitamins can cause depression, anxiety, and ADHD. It can be a deficiency in anything, I was just giving an example. And I'm not sure what point your even trying to make.....Mood swing? Wtf..

  • @KevJumbaify I say this because to speak a statement like this, then follow up with something a little bit more rational(despite being incorrect) which signifies that you had a moment of blind anger. Showing you're not a moron, but you realized you said something stupid, and then attempted a recovery. In other words, you contradicted your self. Is ADHD just being lazy? Or is it caused by a deficiency? It's actually neither in such simplicity.

  • @MedicsWorld ok

  • @finchrocks215 Yup, medication works which indicates(among other proof) that there is a real problem going on. For now treatment is what we got, but our goal as a human civilization is to reverse this illness. Which one day we will be able to do.

  • @finchrocks215 Yeah!!!! I'm so sick of all the people trying to convince others that prescription drugs don't work. They do wonders. Great comment

  • @finchrocks215 lol. u just don't like hw, and can't shut up, and can't drive for shit, lol. adhd's not a disease, its a personality, some people are chill, some are shy, some are hyper and talkative, lol. ur funny, u just want some drugs, use weed, not meds. .

  • @finchrocks215 I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 6. My parents chose to not put me on Ritalin because of all the "ADHD isn't real, your kid is just bad" and "They just want to sell you drugs!" crap. I have an IQ of 150 and did stellar on standardized tests but overall did pretty mediocre in school, and all the moral shaming from family and lack of socialization (didn't have many friends) led me to have pretty bad self esteemt. Now I'm 25, finally got on meds and guess what THEY WORK!

  • @finchrocks215 You should try not talking as much hm?

  • @finchrocks215 yeah me too, every thing you just said, plus legal trouble lol... but my iq is 141 lol :)

  • ADHD and ADD don't exist.

You've all been indoctrinated into believing your FEELINGS are "disorders" and pharmaceutical companies are making HUGE profit giving you drugs and tricking you into thinking you have a disease that doesnt exist.

So your sad, thats a EMOTION, you dont have depression.

So your hyper or you have trouble focusing, thats a PERSONALITY TRAIT, you dont have ADD/ADHD.

Personalities and emotions are not disorders, and you dont need drugs to help your own personality.

  • @PhuckAllYouPeople

you're a jackass..try living with it. u won't need anyone else to tell u it's a disorder. all u need is your own experience to realize it's a disorder..add and adhd aren't merely feelings..the symptoms of add and adhd are compulsive and debilitating..they inhibit one from performing the daily tasks that the average person does with no problem..it's not just a matter of not being able to focus..it's a debilitating lack of focus, hence, a disorder.

  • @itzahazylife

Those "symptoms" you are talking about are unique personality traits, everyone' different, and everyone has something eccentric about them, but only a few will be stupid enough to believe that they need to take a drug to rewire neurons because they cant pay attention, they have odd habits etc.

You dont have a disorder, there emotions and personality traits, and if you want to take a drug to change who you naturally are, thats fine, but dont put a disguise on what your doing.

  • @PhuckAllYouPeople I guess that people who are psychotic and kill people just have unique personality traits too huh? What a stupid argument. You're clearly not a neuroscientist, nor do you suffer from ADHD, so your uninformed opinions are utterly worthless.

  • I eat Ritalin because it's delicious, has a low glycemic index and is rich in dietary fiber.

  • fuck this i have adhd from a high ranked dr. in sweden he gave me concerta its a fucking drug i wiki it and i seen prisoners taking the shit i thow them all away ddint take any shit just try another shit dont take medecin if your really really have adhd and just need it to calm down take it personalley i would recommend it dont be stuck on medecin its will fuck you up long run period !

  • scedual 2 NARCOTICS!!!!! ... whats wrong with getting high?

  • @mike99912

Cops and alot of people like to call every illicit drug a narcotic, which is wrong, a narcotic is a drug that has a sedative effect and produces euphoria.

Amphetamines are stimulants, they get you very high, they do extreme harm to your body over long periods of use, and they are extremely easy to become dependent and addicted to.

But its all good, we should all give are kids meth for a disease that doesnt exist.

  • Why has there been a remarkable increase in the number of children *diagnosed* with ADHD in the past 20 years? Because the definition didn't exist until about 30 years ago.

Natalie clearly doesn't understand between "people with ADHD" and "diagnosed cases of ADHD". Perhaps she should leave the commentary to people that do.

  • think about it like this whould you rather have ssris or adhd pills for those who cant consterate i know addrell and ritalin are like speed and it tends to have a abuse profile but it also helps constration for those who have it ssris on the other hand has caused sucides and school shootings over the years athough it helps oout to some extent becides adhd pills doing the same thing

  • Treatment for ADHD does WONDERS for people who are using their medications correctly and are communicating with their physician, their ADHD SPECIALIST PHYSICIAN that is. We who are diagnosed with ADHD are not the problem. Honestly, its common sense that you learn about your doctor and your treatment. For those that do not learn about possible side effects and other facts of their medication are the reason why were being taken advantage of and so much negativity is surrounding this topic.

  • vyvanse changed my life , the only way i got promoted and making more money is because of the ADD drug vyvanse

  • This study has been proven to be inconclusive. You present it like exciting fact. You make no suggestion of your qualifications in this field. Are dangerously misinforming the public. You seem to suggest that there are alternative methods to pharmacologic approach to as effctively treat ADHD. The simple fact is that there are not. Even the study you are using suggests that psychostimulants remain the single MOST effective treatment for the symptoms of ADHD a neurological deficiency.

  • I am 26 and after 4 months Strattera has increased my quality of life in a huge way. I am doing all of the things that I never did before, finishing my projects, managing my money correctly etc. It is wonderful.

  • Oh, wow. That's horrible news. To lose your child to addiction (not death ) is one thing, but to lose your child to suicide caused by Doctor's prescription is the worst kind of heartbreak. You and I are the lucky ones compared to that. We both still have a way still left to go. You sound like a very loving and supportive Parent. I don't even know you, yet I am sure your Son is in the best hands for his condition. I wish you both the very best.

  • Yes, you are right! They are saying that my Child needs Adderall. He's six, Are you kidding me? No way! That will turn my little creative, fun, smart, entertaining one into a Zombie! These Teachers need to stop being lazy and accommodate children. Everyone is supposed to be different. Most people who are A.D.H.D. Are geniuses. It angers me to see our society pathologizing harmless personalities.

  • @dsmith019 Dont give it to him it will fuck up his social life. My parents gave me adderal when I was young.

  • @ghostmaker105 Hey, thank you for that one, I too believe that the destroying of the social life is one of the huge down falls, too. I just make sure that his brain is well fed. Lots of Fruits and veggies. L-Theanine ( From green tea) Omega oils. Nutritious food. You know? How do you feel now that you are off of it? I know it had to be kind of rough getting off of that roller coaster.

  • @dsmith019 Well Ive been taking the meds since I was around 7 including Adderal Stratera Resperadol and more. Recently in high school I stopped taking them when I hid them in my mouth after taking them and threw them away when my parents werent looking and when I went to my doctor after a month of doing this he said I was doing well in school and then I broke the news to him I did well without the meds. I realized later that everyone seen me as a silent 6 ft 3 kid dedicated to sports and school.

  • Wow, good for you!.. You are truly an inspiration for all kids and adults who have been diagnosed in a Willy Nilly way. I'm so glad to read that you are doing well, That goes to show that you have everything it takes to do well and beyond. Meds kill your true self, personality, social life, good status in peer relations, and creativity. People are evolving into genius like human beings in this era. America, please don't medicate them. Love them and learn from them. Keep up the awesome work. , .

  • @dsmith019 Thanks, all I have to say is extreme discipline is the only solution. Make sure he has his priorities strait and knows what his goals are for the future. Dont ever let him discouraged it is possible to discipline your mind, it takes a lot of effort and disconfort to be able to control your mind and thoughts and be able to direct it to one thing. ADHD can be your greatest gift if you can conquer it but if you dont it can be your worst quality.

  • Wow, spoken like a trooper! My little guy is only 6 years old and has the impulsive type. From our understanding there are six different types of ADHD. His clinician and psychologist says that he will most likely grow out of his type. Our problem is he is too impulsive in school and seems to get angrier over little things more so than the average child. Thinking of home schooling. @ghostmaker105

  • @dsmith019 Haha I used to be the same way when I was getting a little kid getting suspended everyday. From what Ive heard my doctors told my parents I would never even make it through high school yet today im going to a college with a below 50% acceptance rate. Kids are gonna pick on him at school because he is different and the way I reacted when I was young was with fighting too. He'll grow out of it believe me, so far he sounds a lot like me as a child.

  • @dsmith019 I recently lost my 22 yr old son to Ritalin addiction. He was diagnosed at 12 with ADD. I wish we would have chosen home school. Go to the FDA warning page for Ritalin and see the many warnings, especially interesting is that if you have family history of mental illness or addiction your child should not take this highly addictive amphetamine. No one ever warned us. Think hard or try non amphetamine medicine and nutrition treatment.

  • @pwg1126 Wow, sorry to hear of that happening to your Son. This is one of the many reasons that I will not medicate him. I am now using L-Theanine ( an ingrediant found in green tea.) Omega 3, Omega 6,Omega 9, a good dose of iron and a good nutrition plan.

He is doing a little bit better with the impulsivity. That is the type of ADHD we are dealing with. It is said that he will grow out of his type.I hate got your Son hooked on that crap.

They should be legally held responsible for his health.

  • @dsmith019 I saw today in the Houston TV News Ch 11 KHOU news where Vyvanse another amphetamine for ADHD is being blamed for a 9 yr. old's suicide. They are now claiming the kid was probably bipolar. If you use these drugs use the lowest dosage available (5 mg). They had this kid on 20 mg. Try researching natural stimulants or home school.

  • The only reason why ADHD meds could stunt growth is because of one of the side effects is suppressed appetite. Adequate nutrition is obviously essential for child development. ADHD meds do have long term benefits. Just like any meds, they could either work effectively for a person or ineffectively. It works differently for each person.

  • If we have questions or concerns we can talk to our doctors who have had years of medical training. Thanks.

  • No one cares or wants to hear it. If there's a problem we can go talk to our doctors to discuss it who have had years and years of medical training. Thanks.

  • The reason some of it's not true is she's selling something. Foodie, survivalist cheerleaders want to make a buck on getting some parent in the "I'm hoping for a miracle" phase. Does anyone know that coffee is a stimulant? That's right, crack in a cup! You do get withdrawls if you stop cold turkey! That's a headache waiting to happen. .. but wait... is she saying no coffee? She did study the food guide and probably memorized it too, but this is not neurology with natalie.

  • people w/ out adhd have no idea how frustrating and debilitating it can be. I only take stimulants when I'm expected to be social and attentive. When I don't take it, I am constantly jerked around by my emotions and desires, like right now. I have watched 5 minutes of this video and have no idea what she has said because I can't stop looking at her boobs. So frustrating.

  • @lilbitparanoid Isn't that strange how the psychic truth only use very cute girls. I wonder about this bunch, it reminds me of a cult or a con. Be strong, control your lust, and control your eyes. Use the 4 second rule. If you have to look more than 4 seconds and feel you are having sexual thoughts look away.

  • Comment removed

  • @lilbitparanoid lol thats not ADD thats you being horny and her being a boring speaker.

  • @lilbitparanoid I only watched this because I saw a remotely attractive girl trying to be smart and I was horny... stupid girls turn me on, but as soon as she started talking - well that was it for me

  • @lilbitparanoid Thank you!

  • @lilbitparanoid I have adult ADHD, a positive attitude, strong work ethic and work well with people. Until I began taking Ritalin in my mid 30's, recently, I was given "shape up or ship out" talks in every career I pursued. Every job I LOVE doing 40-60 hours a week, I was constantly being warned by people who don't understand. I take a small dose (below recommended for adults) and totally agree with what you've said.

  • @lilbitparanoid I agree not w/ the boobs part lol, but w/ the fact that people dont understand how frustrating it is.I have two kids w/ adhd and i only give them their meds when they are going to school. I hate to give it to them but what other way can i take i have tried natural meds but they did not work. With out the meds at school they will end up failing in their classes for not focusing and staying in trouble or kicked out for their behavior.

Did you take meds when you were in school?

  • Not to be annoying or anything, but only people like me who actually have ADD (or ADHD), the drugs do help. I mean before I took adderall I was a 'dumb' kid in math getting B's and C's in school. Nowadays I'm two grades ahead (I used to be three grades ahead in math before I did calculus) and I am going to be graduating early! How's that for proof how they work? If there was another viable alternative I would try it, but there isn't. Adderall helps me in sports, school work, my summer job, etc

  • You should work on finding both accurate primary & secondary research. I have taken ADHD medications about eight different kinds. I'm currently majoring in economics at Harvard, and oh by the way I'm six feet tall. Oh, besides that my Dad is a general surgeon at one of the most prominent hospitals, not some shitty college named buffalo no one has ever heard of. Oh by the way you need to work on your reporting... actually a lot of things. Well have fun filming bullshit in stair ways of buildings.

  • all you say is that it stunts your growth like 6 times...

  • A duck who wants to play a Doc

  • We know that you can read. What is your education !!!!

  • @OranTernopol I seethat you have no class and no education at all.

My question was clear and simple "what is your education"

Your reply was very low and rude. But it did not even answer the question.

  • i used to have a bowling team that was autistic and our parents put us all on this ritalin and after 1month of taking them we relished that our parents had betrayed us putting us on these pills just so they could get laid and sleep for 16hours out a 24

we still remember the pain the cramps and how we could never get to sleep. we all considered suicide. even after we stopped taking them we still weaklings and if u take em to long forget bout sex,,,,,it falls off

  • i can get these at $4 a pill and you can buy 90 or 180 tablets at a time... for more info just hit me at my email or through here. usmedicalpharmacy at gmail

  • Heart problems will always be exacerbated when a stimulant is introduced. Common sense. You are speeding up the person's system and thus putting a great strain on the cardio vascular system. If dont over long periods, there is a cumulative affect.

  • Your cute. I faught my sons(he's autistic) in court to stop her from giving him Ritalin. The judge decided that I should have no rights to put him on any medicine and she has the right to continue giving him Ritalin.

Ritalin isn't supposed to have long term effects. It is just to help people concentrate while on it, then leave the system. It also keeps hyper kids quiet. I find it just makes him irritable and angry.

  • After taking ritalin for over 5 years, I have become nervous, antisocial, and lost any motivation to do anything. I agree that short-term effects can be great (only when you're on ritalin), but the long-term effects make ritalin not worth it at all. About 6 months after I got off of ritalin, everyone I knew noticed a HUGE difference in my behavior. I became more confident and talkative, though still not as much as I was before I started ritalin. I would rather do worse in school than be a zombie

  • @lunchboxxxxxxxxx thats exactly how ive been feeling. im glad i found a reason for that. im done with that shit

  • for those with ADHD, stimulant drugs may balance in the long run the production of dopamine in the CNS. If you have too much production, which is an imbalance, then medication such as amphetamine may damage the production just enough to balance it. This is why it must be prescribed after diagnosed. People that do not have ADHD will experience negative side effects from taking stimulant drugs, while those with ADHD may benefit.

  • @DoctorYoon typically you are a very narrow minded person claiming knowledge . Here is the catch dopamine level alters simultaneously according to the situation unless is caused primarily by a tumor such as dopamine producing pheochromocytoma. Go and study biology 101 once again

  • adhd and add are fake money making

  • @dihle12 omg your an NT this guys an nt everybody a maybe hes a jew or Mormon

u know the people who tried to ban harry potter

  • Watched the video again, you have mixed information, some of it is true and other is not. I don't like how you make it sound like the withdrawals are like heroin. You take more of a scare people than share information. Why?

For ever one negative study there are multiple studies with positive results.

Anyways, the meds work to help kids get focused until they learn coping skills so they don't need or need very little meds. It is not the end all be all cure as every doctor will tell say.

  • @LostFoxeh It is like heroin. It causes physical pain because of a lack of endorphins release into the system. Yes it helps when taken as needed, for instance once a week to study for a test but more than that will start to cause damage to the brain and body. This is a fact whether or not you choose to believe it the facts remain. Do what you want with your child you will have to answer to him/her when he/she finds out the truth about this drug and will ask you why you did this.

  • @summergiles did you know that Ritalin is one of if not the most researched drug on today's market? There is more studies done on this drug than any other, and the side effect will be well documented. While what you say can vaguely hold truth from some newer medications, I'm sure it has very little truth for Ritalin and your ideas are a loose generalization of facts. All risk with Ritalin are discussed with the parent before they put their kid on it. If you don't have a quack doc that is.

  • @LostFoxeh Do what you want, but it sounds like you wish what you say is true rather than believe. As I said you will have to answer to your children when they are grown and realize the truth. Say what you want but the facts are the facts. You can't argue gravity and you can't argue that amphetamines have curtain damaging effects on the brain and body which is compounded by a growing child. But please yourself just stop lying to these people.

  • @summergiles I am a long term user of ritalin and I would be pissed off at my parents to the point that I would never find it in my heart to forgive them had they known about ritalin and not let use it to get though school. It has made a huge difference and for the better. Next you will say people with asthma shouldn't use albuterol. It works and does what it needs to when used correctly, only a fool will argue that. It is a treatment not a cure, get real.

  • @LostFoxeh These are my points exactly. See Ritalin and Adderall are not harmful when taken in small doses say once a week to study for a test. It is the everyday use that is very harmful. Think of it like heat. When you put your hand over a small flame and then take it away there is no harm done but if you leave your hand over the flame you will get burned. Does this make sense? Albuterol is the same. Taken rarely will cause no problems taken everyday will.

  • @summergiles You have no idea how much is a little or how much is too much. I only take it during test because I have learned how to cope with most daily activities without it. For a young kids they will need to take it nearly everyday in order to study for said test. Each medication has a different amount that can be safely taken, and to learn that research has been done and found for most add meds. Maybe you should read about ibuprofen, and acetaminophen for a shock of what is in stores

  • @LostFoxeh I don't understand your hostility. You and I are similar. We both used it when we needed to and not more than that. The point is don't put this in a growing child's system everyday. Give their bodies a break. It is harmful to do it everyday. Is this a hard concept? If so it may have done more damage that you want to believe.

  • @LostFoxeh I began taking Ritalin as an adult. The fact that she can speak the way she does shows to people like me she does not have ADHD. I'm so "addicted" that I forget to take about 5 doses a week. I have trouble with people at either extreme, the "Give meds to everyone" group and the "drugs are bad," crowd.

  • @benjovi55 Bingo. These groups have drawn their battle lines on this issue like most other issues. It's a red verse blue paradigm, good verse evil with no details in between. It's getting people hurt.

  • i just wanna say that i have been on strattera for about 2 years but the worst side affect that i had was weight loss. i started taking it the durring the summer before i went to 6th grade (im in 7th now). in 5th grade i use to weigh about 115 pounds but now im twelve and i weigh 88 pounds. im not making this up, its a true story.

  • @kelstergirl123 Any stimulants can make loose weight.

but over induce neural stimulation can lead to excessive cortisol production; could lead to chronic fatigue syndrome. Wait until you are older young people manage stress better than older ones.

  • I spent years on ADHD drugs and the top dog drugs had the nastiest side effects and caffeine is nasty as well, makes some people psychotic and all of them felt like they burned out my body and I was prescribed Desoxyn and took 20 mg 4 times a day and they come only in 5 mg tabs for years and that was the mildest and only made me able to focus and was milder on my body than coffee and it is rx meth and I went nuts on Ritalin, Adderall and Dexedrine and Strattera made me insane...

  • I think you make a lot of credible points and one irony about big pharma and ADHD drugs is that they all promote drugs that feel hard on the body for ADHD and after failing on everything else, they prescribe rx meth and rx meth feels healthier on the body and produces less of a high than coffee and the irony is that the school nurse used to give us fun size bags of skittles in the Ritalin line to avoid the pattern of us hiding in the bathroom for 10 minutes and going back to class...

  • I appreciate what your are doing out there Natalie God Bless you and yours. Just one thing, It seems your readers could use some hard details maybe you could state the names of the papers and sources you got your info. from makes your presentation stronger and gives those of us looking for cold hard facts something to share with others in need nto make sound decisions. Thank you.

  • Hey that comment I sent was for Stafide

  • i got paranoid so easily, it was hard for me to have friends towards the end because i didnt trust anyone. everything everyone said was seemingly a lie to me because for some reason everyone was out to get me. i was constantly thinking i was going crazy and i would have a racing heart all the time, i was always very aggitated. i personally decided to get off even w/ the doctors disapproval. i am still having motivation problems and i have paranoia still but it is less then half of wat it was.

  • i have been on adhd drugs since i was 7. Im 18 now i have ran the gammot of meds. all the meds have been the more common stimulants (amphetimines) and not the newer alternatives of adhd meds. I am 6'2" lol so it didnt stunt my growth. but i stopped taking my meds about 3 to 4 months ago it took like 3 months for the withdrawals from the adderall to stop, ei tiredness, lack of care, a not as happy look to the future etc. I stoppedcause it was messing w/ my mind. I was anxious, always uncomfortabl

  • So in other words Steve931 what your saying is that there is definitely some reason for major concern and maybe God is looking out for U brother or your just really lucky hmm??? Either way glad your still with us,Think on that for awhile. Drugs do what drugs do Pot, Heroine, crack cocaine ADAHD/ ADD drugs I thought they said JUST SAY NO!

  • pethetic. "stunt grouth"? little truth, tons of lie and deceit.

  • You got proof? Please share.

  • I do have proof, high school English 1 it would take me 2 hours or longer with out meds, and about an hour or hour and half with meds. That alone makes it worth it. I also average a score of 10-15 point higher on test I took meds on than without. The growth part, I'm 5'7" and much taller than both my parents, but I will admit I did have delayed growth, but that is not the same. This is my personal experience please conduct your own experiments and research.

  • That was for U Onlyonewillwin You got proof. She's right I got the same spill from my son's psychologist about the stunting growth issue. Check it out before you judge friend contact the FDA and ask them. No drug experience is the same between all people it's selective.

  • I took my son off of Methylphenedate 4years ago for the exact reason that he was a walking skeleton. These medications severely affect the appetite. At the age of 12 my boy was the size of an 8 year old. I continually brought up appetite with his doctor and the doctor told me to just give him a higher caloric diet. Right... the kid wasn't hungry can't force feed a kid. Once off the meds he grew five inches in a four months. He is 15 and still much shorter than his friends.

  • some of the things you have said I know to be false, make me wonder how much you have also said is false.

People research everything she said, chances are it is slanted or miss informed.

I do know adhd meds have helped me, but hurt my brother, so it depends on what else is in your head.

  • Hey got a reasonable question for you. YOU GOT PROOF??????....

  • I am amazed with the depth and quality of your hard hitting expose examining such a paramount issue. We owe our children the best means possible to combat this debilitating...HEY LOOK A SQUIRREL!!

  • My 22 yr old son Sean died on Nov 4 due to Ritalin abuse. He was supposed to take 3 per day, but after treatment and one day at a halfway house he went to an doctor who didn't know him and was prescribed him 90 pills. He died with a vomit bag in his hand in his car waiting to go back into the halfway house. If you get this addiction from your stimulant or amphetatamine. You have a 6% chance of getting off for 1 year. God help you get off or use time released medicine.

  • @pwg1126 But the question arises, where were you as the parent? You could have easily revoked his prescription benefits, making him unable to, or at least severely discouraging him from refilling his prescription due to the high cost w/o insurance. It's easy to blame it on the substance, though just as easy as it is to blame it on the parents, but there is most definitely a breakdown in parental communication which allows problems such as these to spiral out of control.

  • why do u keep shakin ur head?

  • Words like "may case" or "unknown" don't mean anything. Also, she is reading from news articles not the actual report. Secondary sources are not as credible. She even says that treatment changes are altered as a result of media coverage. She should also warn you that she is not a doctor. The is the Brian Fellows of medicine.

  • ...and this video is pointless because you just take a week off of it here and there and tollerance is gone. all the other crap said was pointless. just take breaks, and exercise.. i cannot stress healthy diet and exercise enough..

  • ii have been on every damn ADHD drug sense the age of 5.

  • WHAT A FUCKING PRIK. Methylphenidate saved my life!

  • not in the mood, how the hell does that penis get so vascular...?

  • idk lol. its just a possible side effect.

  • I hate to burst your bubble, but you haven't given sources as to where you could make such a claim.

  • @composer63 WRONG!!! have u ever been on them i was on them for 1 year and now im sterile, my voice is like that of a 60 year old and i cant resist eating

are u a Christian parent because u obviously dont believe in science remember there is gravity and adhd children are humans not half humans
