if you guys r trying to learn 5th edition rules gaunts r no longer beasts...and haha they werent fearless at one point u said they were becuz u were out of synapse range...
YOu need Monoliths and more destroyers, cuz what you could do with your monolith once your warriors got into CC you could warp your warriors out of CC and wait till next turn to own them with shooting, and with a 6+ save Tyranids will get there ass kick and just stay away from there CC dude and your find man
I just want to say great video if or only one reason: Someone that makes these things actually knows what a tripod is and knows how to use it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! When people don't, it, well, just really, really blow chunks.
Also, instead of the whole battle, just try sticking to the results and post-game commentary. It smooths things out a lot. Just a thought.
Example: The die is cast. If Julius Caesar happened to be using two of the objects mentioned, it would be "The dice is cast" or, since that would be disjointed, "The dice are cast." would be grammatically correct.
i used to have spacemarines but i neva learned how to play. so i gave up... now i just play the pc game dawn of war darkcrusade if u wanna play wit me my name is evilbeaversV2
hey anyone do you think i should go with tyranids or with chaos space marines? im getting back into 40k so hm? tell me why you think your choice is the better one? any info is welcomed thanks
Nids are very nice and now have some new combat tricks, though CSM are pretty beastly as well. It all comes down to your preference in tactics, if you like swarms go with the Nids or even better :cough:Orks:cough: but if you like smaller more tactical based squads then go with the Chaos Marines.
oh i already decided my army ;) hehe i am going to do a beast themed army with a space woilves set up list so basicaly space wolves but with lots of conversions ;) thanks though
No, if there's 12 Hormaguants they have 2 attacks basic. So it would be 24 basic, the Scytals are included in their profile. But that was cheating when he rerolled the attacks. Only creatures with or withing 2'' of creatures with feeder tendrils get to re roll there hits.
ummm........no they do not. i dont know who told you that. but gauss only works on vehicles. since the nids dont have any vehicles...........they dont do anything..........>_>
yeah mine too, had a hard time deciding what units to pick at first, so I bought some nids jsut to paint them and get the feeling of them. but in the end I think I will go necrons anyway, suits me more. (it's all about what you like, not winning)
I like to see that you guys get along. I play necrons and I normally play against a guy who plays the Raven Guard chapter of the SM. But he cheats : (. Other day I got completely owned and was like wtf...however before I took a picture of the field at the start. I calculated his points later that day to find that his points doubled mine : (. Kinda sucks. Either way
I was wondering if anyone would mind sharing some necron strategies for 500 or 1000 point battles. Thanks : )
hi, i have a 3500 point army but that is mainly because i have 4 monoliths. no, i didnt make a typing mistake, i have 4. (im sick and twisted)
I find if i deepstrike the monoliths in with the flayed ones to break up the enemy and make morale loss it gives me a great advantage as my opponent concentrates his/her fire on the monoliths, i then pincer them with the wraiths and destroyers.
yah...I play Necron and Nids...both were played decent but I highly suggest you take a closer look at the tyranids codex while the camera is off and check biomorph upgrades for him. Also never underestimate the tyranids ability to get in your face. :) And to Petahpie, a well played Fex is NEVER useless. Even if it gets gunned down in the first turn you are soaking up bullets that other units would have taken.
In the rulebook they get 5+ cover save, but it does say you can deside if anything gets cover saves. You could play a game with no cover saves, but with loads of terrain, using fluff based reasons. For example; you could say the buildings were hundreds of years old and bullets just go strait through the decaying walls.
for your table cover it in glue and put sand on it it looks sick

Thanks. this vid was a long time back, & one of my first battle reports so I started summarizing end of turns rather then the whole thing.

Dice=plural.
Die=singular.
Example: The die is cast. If Julius Caesar happened to be using two of the objects mentioned, it would be "The dice is cast" or, since that would be disjointed, "The dice are cast." would be grammatically correct.

Necron warriors are over priced.
Compared to a space marine
Stats same
Guns same apart from gauss which rules
Necrons have 'will be back'
Both for 15 points

In the gauss special rules it says that on 6's it is a wound on troops, and a glance on tanks, I am pretty sure thats how that rule works.

you dont get "will be back" rolls on the first squad because they werent within 6" of another squad of the same.

@SightlessBlind Gauss hurts anything on a 6, regardless of toughness. Page 14, second paragraph, second sentence.
jmartshopper2 1 year ago
They just wound regardless of toughness, they don't rend.

Why dont warriors get the wbb at 24:00ish, on turn 3?
And this is odd, beacuse i havent lost against Nids once.
BeyondTheJist 2 years ago
necrons can not get a WBB unless they are within 6 inchs of another unit of the same type.
warriors = warriors
wraiths = wraiths
immortals = immortals
and in my defense. i hadnt played them in over 6 months
SightlessBlind 2 years ago

yes i play nids and you cant get strength 5 on a hormagaunt. you can however up the ws. i am also going to start a necron army.
deathmate21 2 years ago
how do hormaguants get ws 5??? they are base 3 and with toxin sacs they can be 4 how did they get 5? i play nids.
deathmate21 3 years ago
Adrenal glands can upgrade the ws and some people don't show the biomorph but the strength doesn't make sense

brilliant vid, but necrons with WS 4 against WS 5 is 5+ to hit in cc. Subbed btw keep great vids coming.

why no infiltrate or outflank with BL and stealers? thats 2 high priority targets that now have to run across the board against a shooty army.
Glizzy6d 3 years ago
@ Gatebuster: yeah, I know I need more warriors. I have another 6 coming in the mail (and a tyrant too for moar synapse)
@smacky101: I'm pretty sure outnumbering is a 4th edition thing.
@ kentsmedblom: I had one fex on the table, he was just reletively useless.
Petahpie 3 years ago
kill the stealers and warriors then hes got nothin that can do much damage unless he had a fex or tyrant i didnt see lol gl against him again bro!
kentsmedblom 3 years ago
I am not sure but I think you only take the excess wound on a fearless unit if they are outnumbered.
smacky101 3 years ago
he cant save his tyranids(i dont know much about DOW so correct me if im wrong) if his save throws are higher then your AP weapon stats
Hayabusad63 3 years ago
he can get cover saves even if the AP is higher. as long as his unit is more then 50% in terrain.
