With Microsoft focus on gesture based interfaces I am thinking Acer Iconia running windows 7 would be the platform to beat for both Apple and Andriod next year. Soon to be lauched in December this year, is this the beginning of MS getting into the hardware market? now with even Kindle throwing their hat into the ring with Kindle Silk browser... what say?

Much thanks, but I changed my mind already. I still don't know if it can fold all the way back to operate as a tablet, but what I do know is that;

-The screen orientation can't change

-The battery life is piss poor.

The battery life alone is a turn off. It's pretty cool though. Until the new 40 hour laptop batteries of the future are released to the market, there's no way I'd get this laptop.

Great great device, it shows Microsoft touch technology is available in Windows 7, it only needs the correct software, this Acer software is as good as the iPad, I just hope Microsoft would keep getting better press reviews on touch devices, since many people don't know devices like these exist.
