I always love the Sniper Elite in the WWII era. I had lots of fun in co-op and i loved the tripmines. I have it for ps2 but it was the best sniper game i have played so far. I really dont care to much for this one but its not bad.
You can't compare this game to Cod mw2 or black ops. This game is more realistic, where the concentration is only focus on sniping. Cod is more adrenalin based, getting as many kills as fast as you can. they're both great, just different feel

What he forgot to mention is as soon as you fire your first bullet your stealth is blown for the entire mission! that and even whey you hide in cover enemies can see you and there goes your stealth for the level. I want a sniper game where its more stealth less shooting.

12 hours on medium? took me 3 hours 33 minutes on easy....
the gameplay was pretty fun...i like sniping and sitting around waiting for the perfect shot, but the story line was terrible. the ending was absolutely awful.
I got this game for about 30$ AND MY GOD is it BAD, the AI can see you from across the map while you are hiding in a bush. And for the "ASS"ult rifles as like to call them, first they dont hit your target and there is no recoil to the guns except for some sight sway to the left and right.
If you like sniping in games and you buy this game, You will be beyond Disappointed.

Sure, great thing its being FPS!... BUT, the game in overall suck! You get stuck on small rocks, you NEED to run over them to get by.. the stealth system is a joke, i can hide better in my toilet with a yellow knight armor!... and yes, the assault rifle aming from the enemy, they kill you from sniper distance. The maps are sealed of, you cant allways move tactical across land as you wish becouse there is some stupid fence in the way.

There is no opportunity to use any claymores or c4, or the knife.The tutorial teaches you nothing! You'll try to snipe from a window and when you crouch you cant see out of it. The enemy has the ability to see you through anythign and shoot you through it. Your bullets can pass through nothing no matter what it is. Your teammates help you in no way what so ever. Most frustrating game ever
there are endless forcefields so you cant explore the terrain and choose your route, you are forced to follow the paths, all rocks are slippery so you cant climb, you cant go up stairs properly or ladders. You'll try and swim round to a good location to snipe from, only to find halfway there you cant and have to swim back and then its too late, everyone is shooting at you through the jungle.The terrain is incredibly difficult to move around on, the slightest slop and you cant walk up it
this is by far the worst game i have ever played, there is nothing good about this game except the scenery. The AI is the worst ive ever come across, there is no stealth at all, ull be hidden completely and they can see you, they all know immediately where you are and can shoot you from miles away despite being in a gilly suit, and you will never see them, impossible, ive had leaves stop bullets, all the leaves come through your scope
It's coming to PS3 next year with some major overhaul/fixes. If they succeed I'll buy it. I loved Sniper Elite on PS2 (gory slow-mo bullet-cam head shots). Too bad that game ended at the airfield, it was finally there I got to pull off some seriously amazing long distance head shots, great fun to watch bullet-cam lasting for a long time. Finally, a review that got it right! I played it on PC (for $30 retail), and I thought it was great considering the price. I can't believe all these people trying to compare it to games with HUGE budgets. I finished it, and loved it. Preparing now for my second playthrough.
this was a very good review. while this game isn't perfect, it is still enjoyable. most reviews i have seen on youtube and other media have been highly critical of this game, often pointing out only the flaws, and none of the positive attributes.

I got this game for about 30$ AND MY GOD is it BAD, the AI can see you from across the map while you are hiding in a bush. And for the "ASS"ult rifles as like to call them, first they dont hit your target and there is no recoil to the guns except for some sight sway to the left and right.
If you like sniping in games and you buy this game, You will be beyond Disappointed.

the game could be much better if the physics were fixed, i hope if they make a sequel/prequel thay dont make the same mistake, also the story could be a bit better and the multiplayer is just horrible, however the sniping is awesome (5.5/10)

Sure, great thing its being FPS!... BUT, the game in overall suck! You get stuck on small rocks, you NEED to run over them to get by.. the stealth system is a joke, i can hide better in my toilet with a yellow knight armor!... and yes, the assault rifle aming from the enemy, they kill you from sniper distance. The maps are sealed of, you cant allways move tactical across land as you wish becouse there is some stupid fence in the way.

as bad as people say this game is, i remember the day when i used to play sniper elite, it was really underground but it was so GOOD, it invented bulletcam

Nine times out of ten when the enemy is shooting at you (always perfectly) they arent even facing you! There is no opportunity to use any claymores or c4, or the knife.The tutorial teaches you nothing! You'll try to snipe from a window and when you crouch you cant see out of it. The enemy has the ability to see you through anythign and shoot you through it. Your bullets can pass through nothing no matter what it is. Your teammates help you in no way what so ever. Most frustrating game ever

there are endless forcefields so you cant explore the terrain and choose your route, you are forced to follow the paths, all rocks are slippery so you cant climb, you cant go up stairs properly or ladders. You'll try and swim round to a good location to snipe from, only to find halfway there you cant and have to swim back and then its too late, everyone is shooting at you through the jungle.The terrain is incredibly difficult to move around on, the slightest slop and you cant walk up it

this is by far the worst game i have ever played, there is nothing good about this game except the scenery. The AI is the worst ive ever come across, there is no stealth at all, ull be hidden completely and they can see you, they all know immediately where you are and can shoot you from miles away despite being in a gilly suit, and you will never see them, impossible, ive had leaves stop bullets, all the leaves come through your scope

It's coming to PS3 next year with some major overhaul/fixes. If they succeed I'll buy it. I loved Sniper Elite on PS2 (gory slow-mo bullet-cam head shots). Too bad that game ended at the airfield, it was finally there I got to pull off some seriously amazing long distance head shots, great fun to watch bullet-cam lasting for a long time. Good times, good times.

This game sucks major dick no seriously i though i could stealth for just some few hours bu no if your spotted then you can't get unspotted the stupid AI will find you no mater what. i don't get the idea of making such a beutiful map with so many bushes and trees if you can't use them to anything the freaks will find you no matter what. Aim down at the ground and still hit you from like 5 miles away. Stupid fuck game.

ok i work for a game developing company (not this games) and i mainly make the levels. I can tell that this game had next to no effort put in on it. Look the whole time your sniping at the cliffs in the background. It looks kinda odd doesnt it. Just one cliff then the end? thats cuz its one of the only things put in on the map the rest is the background 0:00-3:50

Finally, a review that got it right! I played it on PC (for $30 retail), and I thought it was great considering the price. I can't believe all these people trying to compare it to games with HUGE budgets. I finished it, and loved it. Preparing now for my second playthrough.

this was a very good review. while this game isn't perfect, it is still enjoyable. most reviews i have seen on youtube and other media have been highly critical of this game, often pointing out only the flaws, and none of the positive attributes.
