I don't get why everyone wants this Spore... It has the same parts as Spore. It has the same setting as Spore. It has the same general gameplay as Spore. Basically, what you're seeing here is what they gave you. Granted I am sorry they made it more kid-friendly, but it's still a fun game and if nothing else I enjoy just making creatures. And for those of you who want a more adult-oriented game, go play Darkspore. Granted the creation system sucks, but at least you get your gore.

Wow this version is unbelievably better than the current version. I've seen videos for the old one and I was like "why coulden't they have kept THAT instead?" In creature stage you can beat another creature up with your tail or whatever more like a real creature. And believe it or not... THERE WAS ONCE BLOOD IN SPORE! They took everything that was good out of this version to make a crappy current version.
I love how games like this and Fable get so much hype and are described to operate completely different than what the reality of the game is. The developers and designers are always over-reaching themselves and expect to get so much more than what the programmers are capable of delivering. It's all a giant case of great expectations and even greater letdowns. Shame...

He absolutely knows what's possible, so like when other programmers or engineers get into the mix , they rarely actually oversell their skills, what DOES happen, and what happened with spore, is a technically good product is "pimped out" by marketing and demographics guys, and so you get aliens with cute voices and sneakers rather than more bad ass claws or what have you.

Guys, the only plus in the '06 spore is the water stage. There's a lot of bad things about it. You can't choose a planet where you start your game, there are only for actions for the creature in creature creator. It doesn't have details for battle or socializing like the '08 verson and much more...
What is the purpose. Do you battle other creations in the quest for evolving into the master race through time or what. Does the game render you incapable of handling certain trends,like weather, and wipe you out? Die of hunger cos y6a cannot gather food or WHAT? There must be more than just making strange forms.

I don't know about this one. It seems pretty much like the current Spore, with the stat blocks and more strictly scripted movement. Did you notice that there wasn't any wiggling or unbalancing of spinal parts? and for that matter, the legs and arms didn't have stats, the feet and hands did.

What is the purpose. Do you battle other creations in the quest for evolving into the master race through time or what. Does the game render you incapable of handling certain trends,like weather, and wipe you out? Die of hunger cos y6a cannot gather food or WHAT? There must be more than just making strange forms.

Im so pissed they removed OLD SPORE, WE WANT OLD SPORE, WE WANT OLD SPORE, WE WANT OLD SPORE. There have been some rumors that they are making the old one but its gonna be called Spore 2, But i'm not really sure cuz they would probably have announced that they're making the game already.

@kristjanarn On some SPORE fourm it said that, Spore 2. The reason thiey did not announce it is becouse it was EXTREAMLY glichy, thiey need to fix it, i guess.

OMFG if they have released this version, and the finish version was the demo one, you would be saying the same thing... it's basically the same game, works exactly the same way, only the menus and some other litlle things are different.
But i agree that the game could be more realistic, like with blood and less sparkling things...

I don't know about this one. It seems pretty much like the current Spore, with the stat blocks and more strictly scripted movement. Did you notice that there wasn't any wiggling or unbalancing of spinal parts? and for that matter, the legs and arms didn't have stats, the feet and hands did.
