No, you cannot play this song in standard E tuning. You must tune your guitar to C. :)

if ur in standard, your lowest tone is a E2, in drop c, your lowest is C2, it just gives metal a heavier sound, its like comparing megadeth(most songs in Es or Drop d) to devildriver(most songs in dropped B, C, or D)
