Gatto is capable of so many things that other jugglers, even Jason Garfield could not do. Think of it like this, someone who is incredible at siteswaps and technical juggling would definitely win the WJF over someone who is maybe not quite as good technically, but excells at all around juggling, being style, technical, body throws. That is only because the WJF demands technical juggling over anything from jugglers. Winning the WJF a few times does not make someone the best juggler in the world.

Garfield is a better technical juggler in the ball category, but Gatto is definately a very great juggler too!

Anthony may claim to be the best juggler, but when a competition comes out based purely on juggling (no acting/etc) and Anthony doesn't even show up, it's hard to maintain that claim.  Jason Garfield has the courage to compete for the title of technical juggling. Gatto may be the best juggler in a different style of juggling, but in my opinion technical juggling is a higher title.

Gatto's a great juggler, but Vova, Garfield, and Sergey Ignatov Jr. are just a few that may be equally or more deserving of the title of 'best juggler in the world.' As far as technical juggling (WJF) in the ball competition, Thomas Dietz and Jason Garfield are definately some of the best, better than Gatto, but Gatto is very good at juggling snowballs, and the head bounce while juggling rings!
