@EclipseProductions89 an ovilus II(the moddel that was produced in the beginning of this year) is on Ebay. Only 50 were ever made. It holds up to 6000 words and has an LCD screne which can display the words. It's like the PX, only bigger.
the PX (Ghost Box) is a very useful piece of paranormal investigation tool. People have to realize that those in the spirit world opperate and communicate on different EM levels(of which we don't)...that's where digital recorders, video, IR Cameras, and voiceboxes come in handy. Folks, sometimes things can't be explained in a way that we would necessarily understand; but we all need to be open-minded about the unknown...might just find the answer to all answers....just a thought.

@kevmodee1866/ The px device is not a ghost box. A ghost box (Frank's Box) produces white noise that ghosts can use to talk to you in there own voices.
@CassandraLaguatan they are not in production anymore. there is a newer version only available through digital dowsing. google it and the website will pop up.
I personally distrust the dictionary mode due to the fact that it spits out words rapidly. Did you ever hear about the ovilus X? It's so much better than the PX. Plus, you can attach a digital text display to it so you can see the words.

I trust and believe in EVP's from digital recorders but haven't heard anycoherent message from any "Ghost boxes" or "PX's". The concept is good but I don't think we are there yet.
people now a days say "I don't like this device" "I don't like this device" and it makes me so mad. They're so impatient and can dismiss the words as being random. However, I've learned that the phonetic mode on this device produces much more words than in dictionary mode.

@sxydynamite first, this was our first time using the PX. Second, the PX does work you just have to know how to use it. The device WILL spit out random words at first until the spirit can get used to it. Each word has an energy code which the spirit can activate by using its own energy. Imagine how hard that would be. So at first the device will utter nonsense. This signifies the spirit is getting used to the device Once the spirit had found out how to use it, it speaks almost fluently its scary

It seems like the spirit trying to communicate can't get the accurate vibration for the word they're choosing and so an alternate word might be formed by your unit.
Just because the technology is on your end does not mean that the spirits trying to use it are able to understand which vibration will trigger the right word they choose. A specific spirit might need to learn how to use your unit on their side before you get more than misspoken words through it. Good luck. It's pretty close.
did you see the PX device on Ghost Adventures at the hotel where the girl got chained to a radiator. they put the device in the room where she was chained and it started making words, and started just going crazy.. It was Awesome!

@TheHGC no. quite the opposite. the device has a built in 2,000 word dictionary with an electronic code attached to each word. the device will measure environmental factors such as electromagnetic energy and the spirit can change the energy to make the device speak a specific word.
@TheHGC so if the words get 'spoken' due to environmental changes in the em fields then that means there could be any number of natural explanations causing the words to come out such as electric cables, dist boards etc etc. How does spirit change the energy to produce words and can you define what you mean by energy please?
I think that when you think the spirit is saying "off ground", he/she is really saying "compound". Also the reason the phrases don't make sense is probably due to the fact that there are only 2,000 words the spirit can use... If you listen to the phrases and fill in the blanks it makes more sense. Also at one point I think I heard "sent George outside compound shot 15" and shortly after is when you hear "hide"... But that's just my take on it. :)
On your investigation here - did you get the sense that the spirit didn't quite understand how to use this PX device? (I noticed that a lot of the words it chooses and the phrases it makes don't seem to make much sense.)

@EclipseProductions89 - Totally and 100% agreed! (I think they should make it along the lines of the old "touch and talk" device/game that they had decades ago - with the alphabet/general phrases listed as "push-and-talk buttons" on the outside of the machine.)

I'd really be interested in investing in a piece of equipment - but what I would like to see first is a bit of improvement/upgrade in the "voice" system. (It sounds waaay too "robotic" to me - and is rather hard to understand at points in the video...even when I'm wearing my headphones!)

@Lestat21500 Bill Chapel will put it back up on digital dowsing eventually. Keep trying. Also, there are thousands of other ways to document paranormal phenomena. Out of all the devices I own I use this the least on investigations. It's some of the cheap stuff that matters most. If you want to catch ghosts, study study study. Go into an investigation and know what you are doing. Understand the science behind it and you will get evidence.

@zombie19844891 thank you so much for watching. we have many videos on the way. to answer your question i have personally messed around with the app and it is made from the same man who makes the PX. I cannot see how they could possibly work the same. The PX is built to find changes in the atmosphere and allow spirits to manipulate them. I cannot see how this concept is applied to the mechanics of a phone. I believe the app is more for show than science.

Got my PX in the mail today, and can't wait to try it out at a haunted abandoned school we are investigating this Saturday in northwest Ohio!!!!
then u got to turn the volume up to a certain decibel-range(i.e. 50-60). i forgot what u have to do afterwards, but the goal is to cast a spirit(it HAS to be a relative) and u ask questions and receive answers through the distorted static noise. u got to have good hearing though, if u do it properly u will receive ur answers in a fairly-audible tone. i believe its real because the same way phone service works with satellite signals, spirit communication works with kinetic energy.
throughout my parent's peruvian culture, i learned another ridiculous but somewhat affective way of communication with the dead. its called "static channeling" lol. the way it works is u first have to generate a 2 or 3 digit # that had constant involvement in the past events of a dead person's life. somehow.... then u turn on ur tv and u have to FLIP(not dial in) to that channel with the corresponding #.
Though it's hard to hear I'm deciphering it as something to do with or a business or maybe business conducted on Spring Street? And if it's talking about betrayal is it saying Jim Murphy betrayed him/her? Or is this Jim Murphy? Sometime around some holiday? And perhaps "squeeze life" means the person was strangled. You might have a couple spirits trying to communicate. And is it trying to say there is video of something at a factory? Just trying to string it together with some sense.

@Wouwousoft itd be more expensive. they have a device that allows it to be seen but its a fortune. also, there is a cord that hooks up the PX to a computer. it then shows the words as the spirit speaks them. thanks for watching

On these machines, occasionally they'll hit on something contextual, or the words (I'm speaking primarily of the Ovilus, one of Bill's earlier creatures) will be accompanied by an EVP. That's when it gets interesting. Sans validation, they're useless.

@EclipseProductions89 We have both, Ovilus and PX, but UR incorrect on detection. They use the same. Ovilus has dictionary mode and phonetic mode like PX, but it also has MIXED mode, something PX lacks. To make up lack PX has much larger dictionary vocab, 4x the original Ovilus, 2x than Ovilus II, and reverse phonetic. So far in our tests, Ovilus bests the PX. I don't see an ovilus video on your channel. Do you actually have one?
@claranormaldotcom all that means is the energy levels where you were might have been extremely similar as ours and the spirits were not so sure how to manipulate it.

Being that yours is giving the same basic set of about 15 words makes me wonder if it's programmed that way, or if I have something attached to me from a prior investigation, which is something you could help me with. Has yours uttered the name "Emma" yet? Ours hits this name about every 20 words or so, and we had an encounter with an "Emma" at the Granada Theater.

@nightfireivey It is very new. Each word in it's data base has an electromagnetic coding on it. The spirit can manipulate em fields to choose which words it would like to be spoken. I imagine it would be hard for a spirit to just up and know how to use a new piece of equipment. My theory is that at first attempt to use the device, the spirit will splurt out random words until it figures out how to use it.

did you see the PX device on Ghost Adventures at the hotel where the girl got chained to a radiator. they put the device in the room where she was chained and it started making words, and started just going crazy.. It was Awesome!

@TheHGC no. quite the opposite. the device has a built in 2,000 word dictionary with an electronic code attached to each word. the device will measure environmental factors such as electromagnetic energy and the spirit can change the energy to make the device speak a specific word.

@TheHGC so if the words get 'spoken' due to environmental changes in the em fields then that means there could be any number of natural explanations causing the words to come out such as electric cables, dist boards etc etc. How does spirit change the energy to produce words and can you define what you mean by energy please?

i think its because you were at a cemetary, and perhaps the ghosts were all trying to learn how to use it all at once.
i think going to a place that would have only a few or just one ghost might yield speech that is more relevent to your surroundings. :]

I think that when you think the spirit is saying "off ground", he/she is really saying "compound". Also the reason the phrases don't make sense is probably due to the fact that there are only 2,000 words the spirit can use... If you listen to the phrases and fill in the blanks it makes more sense. Also at one point I think I heard "sent George outside compound shot 15" and shortly after is when you hear "hide"... But that's just my take on it. :)

Hey all - sorry one more question....
On your investigation here - did you get the sense that the spirit didn't quite understand how to use this PX device? (I noticed that a lot of the words it chooses and the phrases it makes don't seem to make much sense.)
Did you guys return to this particular cemetery and try another session?

@EclipseProductions89 - Totally and 100% agreed! (I think they should make it along the lines of the old "touch and talk" device/game that they had decades ago - with the alphabet/general phrases listed as "push-and-talk buttons" on the outside of the machine.)

You guys - THIS IS AWSOME!!! (Where did you get your PX machine - and for how much? Also, have you done any other investigations with this machine since this one - and have you gotten good results?)
I'd really be interested in investing in a piece of equipment - but what I would like to see first is a bit of improvement/upgrade in the "voice" system. (It sounds waaay too "robotic" to me - and is rather hard to understand at points in the video...even when I'm wearing my headphones!)

Also - guys, about the comment it makes about the "video"...I don't think it meant that it didn't want the video camera there! LOL!....I think it just meant to point out the fact that it saw you guys were using a video camera - that's all. LOL!
I also notice that it - (sorry, don't know if it's a "he" or a "she") - identifies itself as a "teacher"! (Even though it's physical body is no more.)...Wow! This is simply amazing! (I wonder what kind of field this "teacher" taught in - what subject!)

@Lestat21500 Bill Chapel will put it back up on digital dowsing eventually. Keep trying. Also, there are thousands of other ways to document paranormal phenomena. Out of all the devices I own I use this the least on investigations. It's some of the cheap stuff that matters most. If you want to catch ghosts, study study study. Go into an investigation and know what you are doing. Understand the science behind it and you will get evidence.

@zombie19844891 thank you so much for watching. we have many videos on the way. to answer your question i have personally messed around with the app and it is made from the same man who makes the PX. I cannot see how they could possibly work the same. The PX is built to find changes in the atmosphere and allow spirits to manipulate them. I cannot see how this concept is applied to the mechanics of a phone. I believe the app is more for show than science.

Digital Dowsing isn't selling thier devices on thier web site anymore. You have to do some digging to find a retailer. I just bought a PX a few days ago from Chris Flemming's "Unknown Magazine" website. Try "Ghost Outlet Store" too. They cost $165.00 with shipping. I have an Ovilus too, but wanted to upgrade! Got my PX in the mail today, and can't wait to try it out at a haunted abandoned school we are investigating this Saturday in northwest Ohio!!!!

then u got to turn the volume up to a certain decibel-range(i.e. 50-60). i forgot what u have to do afterwards, but the goal is to cast a spirit(it HAS to be a relative) and u ask questions and receive answers through the distorted static noise. u got to have good hearing though, if u do it properly u will receive ur answers in a fairly-audible tone. i believe its real because the same way phone service works with satellite signals, spirit communication works with kinetic energy.

throughout my parent's peruvian culture, i learned another ridiculous but somewhat affective way of communication with the dead. its called "static channeling" lol. the way it works is u first have to generate a 2 or 3 digit # that had constant involvement in the past events of a dead person's life. somehow.... then u turn on ur tv and u have to FLIP(not dial in) to that channel with the corresponding #.

Though it's hard to hear I'm deciphering it as something to do with or a business or maybe business conducted on Spring Street? And if it's talking about betrayal is it saying Jim Murphy betrayed him/her? Or is this Jim Murphy? Sometime around some holiday? And perhaps "squeeze life" means the person was strangled. You might have a couple spirits trying to communicate. And is it trying to say there is video of something at a factory? Just trying to string it together with some sense.

@Wouwousoft itd be more expensive. they have a device that allows it to be seen but its a fortune. also, there is a cord that hooks up the PX to a computer. it then shows the words as the spirit speaks them. thanks for watching

On these machines, occasionally they'll hit on something contextual, or the words (I'm speaking primarily of the Ovilus, one of Bill's earlier creatures) will be accompanied by an EVP. That's when it gets interesting. Sans validation, they're useless.

@EclipseProductions89 We have both, Ovilus and PX, but UR incorrect on detection. They use the same. Ovilus has dictionary mode and phonetic mode like PX, but it also has MIXED mode, something PX lacks. To make up lack PX has much larger dictionary vocab, 4x the original Ovilus, 2x than Ovilus II, and reverse phonetic. So far in our tests, Ovilus bests the PX. I don't see an ovilus video on your channel. Do you actually have one?

@EclipseProductions89 Could be. Ours came out of it's box talking and hasn't shut up yet, all well away from any EM fields. Being that yours is giving the same basic set of about 15 words makes me wonder if it's programmed that way, or if I have something attached to me from a prior investigation, which is something you could help me with. Has yours uttered the name "Emma" yet? Ours hits this name about every 20 words or so, and we had an encounter with an "Emma" at the Granada Theater.

@nightfireivey It is very new. Each word in it's data base has an electromagnetic coding on it. The spirit can manipulate em fields to choose which words it would like to be spoken. I imagine it would be hard for a spirit to just up and know how to use a new piece of equipment. My theory is that at first attempt to use the device, the spirit will splurt out random words until it figures out how to use it.
