  • 2:20 I could watch the part when the balls turn into jellyfish over and over

  • @Duklum Rachmaninoff's music is academic music, but classical. the classical term only applies to a period and so if you do not incur an error. The roots of music are endless and we can not ignore the Middle East as a source that Europe joins his music.

  • @Duklum No no..clasical music is Mozart!!!! Bach is barroque.. Beethoven is romantic. All these musicians belong to the circle of academic music.

  • @Duklum wow. an actual answer. I'm as thankful as I am impressed!

Well, out of personal interest and curiosity; Am i correct to say that impressionism is a period wherein romance is tried to be revived? I know 'for a fact' (whatever that may be, epistemologically speaking..) that Debussy belongs to the impressionistic period, but his infamous Claire de Lune is said to resemble more that of a romantic composition than an impressionistic one.

    Correct?

  • @Duklum What is it that defines those three periods/styles? I'm a veteran when it comes to music like that of Chopin, Scrjabin, Beethoven, Bach and Debussy, but I have never taken any time as to understand those streams and why a piece would belong to any of those and not the other.

Your insight would be very much appreciated!

  • Very ugly video you have chosen for such a nice song....same on you up-loader.

  • @Macabruify

    Why is it ugly?

  • Regards from Render Area. It was a surprise find out this video that we made more than 4 years ago for Café del Mar. Was an exciting challenge were we inovated 3D animation techniques to that year. It was a pleasure works with Café del Mar and visit them in Ibiza.

Hope work with them soon again.

  • lindo.. uma viagem sem explicação parabéns café del mar...

  • it's my favorite music!!!

  • it's a good job satie had a sense of humor or he'd be spinning in his grave listening to this god awful mess

  • AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE THIS IS F--KING AWESOME

  • I used to watch this video when I was living the worst moment of my life, it would bring me so much peace and hope. Life in a way is like that, you have to fulfill all the challenges before reaching glory, music is glory and it's at the end of the tunnel. As quique2310 said, it touches "that small part where heart and soul are are bounded" Now it's cloudy, windy and raining and the melody came from my mind to that small part...One of those days when only soul and heart dive in the ocean of music

  • is there a itunes download to this link??

  • very good contemprorary interpretation of the original classic play of Erik Satie.

  • WTH????

    Just noticed the symbols myself.

If anyone is interested in something quite scary then type in 'Slavery by Consent' and watch all parts starting from part 2.

    Tell me what u think.

  • @79Sarwar

I have seen the two first parts and I don´t see anything related to this video and symbology. Could you send me a private e-mail explaining me about it, please?

  • no offense but i realy dislike the video and the freemasonry it shows.

this music should be the soundtrack to ww1, as it reminds of the cold winter in which man started to fight eichother for money

  • @Silverbluecrest I agree on that, it's beyond cheesy, the narrative is that the figure unlocks things through puzzles as a classical way (maze) of opening a gate to heaven. but when he eventual unlocks everything a cover of the cafe del mar CD shows up....

  • captures the real ibiza vibe

  • lovely.

  • This is so much like closing theme music for the day, as you depart to sleep.... very nice.

  • lindoooooooooooo!!! maravilhaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

  • Gosh, I thought this was awful! I expect better instrument sounds from CDM... The video's ok I guess... I suppose. Ish. Hi

  • překvapivé poketí...fascinujicí zpracování...povedlo se...:)

  • hope

  • precioso!!

  • stupendo

  • Could someone please tell me what instruments play in this version, I listen the piano but the others example the sounds in the minute 3

  • This is a true masterpiece. The original Satie production has plucked at the heart strings for a century and great re-invention like this will ensure that this work will fire emotions for a century to come.Buy a Satie album, lights out, draw the curtains and sleep in a sea of emotion. A genius

  • The music is great of course but does anyone know who produced this amazing video? And are there any more examples of their work on the internet/YouTube?

  • I could be still for £1 with this...

  • classic game at start ..my dad sayed he would give me £10 if i could do it .. i was about 11 at the time ..still not done it 25 years later

  • I think the video is awesome. I find the piano and the other effects sound good on their own, but I don't particularly like the combination. I love the original because it is so subtle and moving. I agree with quique2310 who says the piano melody touches the innermost and most senstive part of me, that small part where heart and soul are bounded...

  • reat song. thanks cafe del mar

  • cafe del mar : awesome

  • great song.

  • how did he beat that solitaire game so quickly? i can never beat that shit!

  • maybe you find it hard to believe but i like this

  • i dont, i adore that piano melody,

it touches the innerst and most sensitive part of me, that small part where heart and soul are are bounded..............

  • Wow! Fantastic you brought this version of Satie into the Space age while keeping it intact. I will look for cafe del Mar's music. Thank you for sharing.

  • Who composed this Version of Gymnopedie? Because it sounds quiet different than the original Version of Erik Satie.

  • So beautiful!

  • possitive comments on youtube seems quite avant guarde to me :)

  • I'd love to live here

  • Profoundly beautiful, mastered by genius inspiration. WOW! It's breath-taking!

  • Wow, how proundly beautiful. It is from the imagination of a truly inspired artistic Soul. What joy it is to listen and watch.

  • That was amazing! I love the graphics and music!

  • Satie was a surrealist. Is the surreal considered avant garde?

  • Surrealism was Avant Garde when it was new.

Now that it's old it cannot be, by that very fact, Avant Garde.

Avant Garde is "cutting edge" ................ vanguard.

  • very nice marketing, guys!

  • muy bueno

  • this is where yotube needs a repeat button...This song just brings me back to Ibiza sitting watching the sunset at Cafe Del Mar..they played this on the first night for sunset then they played Pink Floyd The Last Night Of Our Holiday On The Sunset..LOve It!

  • affascinante!

  • Sorry, that is, isn´t it called night air?

  • Erik Satie,,google it

  • This song isn´t called night wind?

  • This music carries me to another place, I don´t know where, maybe to another constelation, maybe there...... where I want to be ...............

  • It´s been 1 year ago and say the same

  • harmonieux, melodieux suivi de la creation musicale, inspirante de satie. Merci, votre composition est tres jolie, du plaisir que le tout procure vous etes de tres grands reveurs du beau.

  • amazing song

  • Hi, who in the Cafe del Mar crew arranged and played this spanking lounge version of one of my favourite classical pieces? ♥

  • this is not classical...Satie was more avant-guarde than classical

  • Eh, no. Satie is classical. This 'interpretation' (it's actually quite hard to recognize the original in this song) is avant-garde. Listen to the original, although innovative, it's definitely classical.

  • @Gyuki12 You must not have very good ears for music. How can you say it is hard to recognize? This is obviously Satie and it is not avant -garde in the least bit. Just because there are elements of electronic music, there are classical arrangements contained within the piece. Learn a little about music and art genres before commenting on them please.

  • Love it!! so relaxing, i knew this music about 4 years ago and i love it since then. thanks.

  • this is a wicked version of gymnopedie No1 . beautiful
