@JIbnitore The later are not Insomniac, so don't even expect them to be any good at all. Insomniac is doing Ratchet and Clank series and Resistance series these days. This was the last Spyro game they did. I've liked one Spyro game since (Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs), two I've somewhat found to be okay (Spyro 2: Season of Flame and Spyro: A Hero's Tail), I've never played Spyro: Shadow Legacy or Skylanders.

It's sad how Naughty Dog and Insomniac both went from making top-notch platformer games that I loved so much, to making shooting games! :( :( Hopefully one day they will return. The new console needs a solid platformer, and with so few good to pick from I don't see why it wouldn't sell a lot either.

Looking forward to Rayman Origins. Hopefully that game will be like the first Rayman game! :D

Because I enjoyed their platformer games more, and there is like no-one making quality platformer games anymore, which they would have been doing if they hadn't started to shooting games! :(

Like Naughty Dog did the best kart game ever! Crash Team Racing, then Jak and Daxter, which was great, but then they started to focus more and more on the shooting and even the daxter x (kart game) somewhat sucked. bad controls, and memory card bugs (it would corrupt parts of your memory card)

@MrMasterDEvil Well, I liked Crash, but Uncharted is just more than a game, it makes me feel like it's myself thats participating in this adventure, and I how could you be sad because they switched from wathever they were doing to making those insanely high quality games. And in some sense, Uncharted is a platformer combined whith a shooter.

@Renatar567 As I said, they moved further away from platformer and more against shooters, like everyone else makes these days as well... The Uncharted games are fun, but they last for such a short time and they easily get boring after a while. I still like Naughty Dog, but I'm sad they went away from what originally made them so great. I like Crash Bandicoot and early Jak and Daxter way more than Uncharted. Their best game is CTR though, best kart game ever. :P

Damn, I remember this level being one of the harder ones. I would put this in my personal top 5 games easily. It's such a great game, I completed it (117%, 150/149 eggs and 20,000/15,000 gems) four times. It really makes you feel happy. Not like the Call Of Duty and Halo style games that seem to be popular nowadays, just mindless running around and blowing things up. I'd take this over them any day of the week.

I dunno, these games were never really adult-oriented, but the newer ones seem really geared towards small children, with their flashy graphics and Barney style dialogue. It sucks that Insomniac had to sell Spyro to Vivendi...the originals are really special to me.

Simply put, games like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot NEED their original developer to keep them alive. The way they're going, they're pretty screwed. Infact, they are already screwed. I'm not saying Crash and Spyro suck, its just, their original developers were the best by far, same for many other series. Mario is so succesful because Nintendo still makes his games along with many other reasons. Same with Sonic too, I think. (Excluding their spin-off's!) Its a shame. Spyro and Crash WERE awesome.
