hey man first i have to say i love your work and it has really gave me inspiration to do landscape :) I shoot with a Cannon EOS 7D and a 17-85 mm lens. I will be getting Filters at a later date lol. One question though when i shoot Landscape how do i focus the shot ? i mean like do i use manual focus ? or what focusing point do i use ??? I want a sharp pic though out but i am worried that my focusing will kill the shot if i am already on f/22 and not to sure how to do this lol. thanks.
Ok, so we open the aperture all the way, but, where do you actually aim your focus point (little red dots in your viewfinder)? and do you shoot in manual mode or Aperture mode? (Av in a Canon camera). thanks for the video, your time and your response.
@chuda99 Where I aim the focus points is another video! ;-) Suffice to say I normally focus somewhere in the middle halfway between the foreground and background. I shoot either in manual or Aperture mode depending on the circumstances of effect I am trying to achieve. When I first started out I only ever shot manual so that I got to know my camera inside out.
@chuda99 Hi Chuda, can't believe I missed this one. Sorry. I focus in manual mode and I use Aperture mode for the majority of my shooting. If I'm taking multiple exposures I will then use manual mode.
