    Sorry, yours must be a different species. These Cetonia aurata chafers are an European species that does no damage!

    No way! Have no fear... they live entirely on decomposing vegetable matter.

  • Thank you for this. I have been wondering about where the rose chafers come from, where the eggs are laid, etc.

    From this video, I see they are in the soil beneath the bush! I could use diatomatious earth to get rid of them! Yippee! Right?
