Far as I remember, the last material referring to Nero's origins and relation to Yamato/Sparda was the DMC4 novel, which HINTED at a relation between him and Vergil, but never said anything about it being Vergil's DT spirit or whatever.

If I'm right Argosax the Chaos wasn't meant to be just a bunch of demons put together in one body, but he was meant to be a demon who was born by combining the bodies of other powerful demons. I own the first three DMC games (I don't have DMC4 because I can't afford a new console ATM), and none of them list Dante's age in any of the instruction manuals. I've looked on a couple sites, and still see nothing about what his real age is. However, I've always assumed him to age slowly because he's half demon. So, I think it's impossible to ever know his true age unless Capcom explicitly states it.

You can get DMC4 on the PC btw. Its much better than the Xbox / ps3 version assuming you can run it at full settings.

the only thing that you should do is when you have some devil trigger, become devil, and hold the shoot button to do a machine gun effect very powerful and kill arius in less than 1 minute and that thing argosax too and that Despair Embodied too.
the absolute best way to kill that boss is the fight it hard without using your devil so that your health gets low enough to the red zone. when that happens... transform into the super demon dante, hes bigger, new moves, and invincible. its even better when you got a lotta devil stars to use because while in this form it runs out, so if you keep using the stars, the longer you'll be in that form. plus it just looks badass when you transform, lol.
The idiot that gave you a thumbs down is an ass. This game was way too easy I beat every last difficulity with all the characters. There was no challenge and the guns were very strong. The last boss for dante was a pushover the boss before was somewhat a challenge but still suck. Lucia whole story was way too easy even the last boss suck ass.
DMC2 is last in the timeline. DMC3 takes place before the first game. While DMC4 takes place between the first and second game (along with the anime series).
Even though i had more fun playing DMC2 overall than DMC3, I think that I had MUCH more fun PLAYING THROUGH dmc3. its just that the fun didnt last long after I beat it. I enjoyed the extending difficulties of fighting the 60 secret rooms of DMC2. especially with the last room, having 7 "The Despair Embodied" all with devil trigger. However I still have not been able to beat that room... I still think I place DMC3 and DMC2 equal only because of DMC2's replay value. Just my opinion here. :D
The enemy design and boss design (BESIDES ARGOSAX THE CHAOS. D:<) was great, but one of the worst parts is with the bosses is that they really let you down. Like fighting Nefascurris, they had this badass cutscene of the building being torn apart coming to life, yet the boss wasnt really too difficult. Its difficult if you mean you cant just stand there and attack it, but It's attacks had alot of flaws. You could stand back and shoot at at until he dies. And "The Despair Embodied" was way too ez
games have the bad habbit of making the final boss much easier than other bosses in the game :( if i make a game ill make the final boss extremely hard :D
BUT Devil may cry 2 has alot of flaws. like the fact that on NORMAL difficulty mode, enemies would rather stand around you rather than attack you. However that becomes much more different in Dante Must Die mode. and slightly different in normal mode. What mostly pissed me off was how they tried to make dante seem like this totally badass guy who didnt care at all for anything. "Now with the arcanas we can end this once and for all!" (Lucia) "Whatever." (Dante).
You can kill the last boss with Ebony and Ivory easily. No need to use Swords at all. Other than that level design was so bad, easy enemies, dull characters and lame gameplay.
Nobody likes it too easy. There must be enemies that are very challenging. Otherwise, people will lose interest to it. This is what they mean by lame. Fighting an enemy that stands still is just no fun.
It's not like a game that's too hard (not that DMC2 is haha) isn't not fun either though. I'd rather play a too easy game and quit out of boredom than play a too hard game and wreck my house out of rage.
Maybe you're right about one thing. But I prefer challenges that give me adrenaline. There are times when you need to take a risk. Some say "no risk, no reward". But thats not always true though.

dante is meant to be a "cowboy joker" to poke out his opposite side with his brother vergil, vergil is dead serious and dante is well...the opposite, couldnt care less about anything and has fun killing demons. but anyway nearly every1 (including me) agrees that dmc2 is THE worst dmc game ever, because of gameplay, lack of style, cheezy enemies, lame bosses(argosax is a blob that contains all other bosses and can be beaten with e&i only...seriously?) and totally out of the storyline ofdmc games.
Its still a devil may cry game. and I thought it kicked ass, because it still is a dmc game. If i HAD to choose which dmc i had the least fun with, Id have to say DMC3 actually. (Even though it had alot of improvements, It didnt have any replay value to me because it was so much easier to get orbs and upgrade your stuff+ the fact that there was a hell of alot more challenge in Dante Must Die mode, in DMC3 after you beat it you dont have much more difficult in the so-call harder difficulties)
yeah this fight was awesome and the cutscene depicting the end of the battle was awesome.... something about the sound of a sword spinning in the air...
DMC 2 had a very cool ending but DMC 4 ending beats this one hands down. As far as game play and Story 3 had the best plus it was just funny to watch Dante act like an ass to everyone.
actually know. according to popular belief and i beleive a couple of inside people. dmc 3 was the a prequal to all dmcs, dmc 1 happened after than dmc 4 and dmc 2 into the distant future hence why dante is so f'n mature and quiet in this game. i beleive this theory cause its the most one that makes sense.
Yes DMC 3 is before all the other DMC games, but Dante lost his brother in DMC 3, because he was trapped in the underworld.
Also, maybe Dante is so silent in DMC 2 because they didn't have any good Japanese Voice actor for him so they made him as silent as possible? :P I Dunno

Worst game in the series, yet an incredibly hard final boss. This guy pissed me the fuck off, and did the damage to boot. Incredible work on The Despair Embodied though. Loved the way he looked. This game had no story line or plot, and it was just too time consuming.

its still fun for me to play.
in fact the acrobatics in this game were greatly superior to the next 2 instalments(which were pretty clunky)

DMC2 is last in the timeline. DMC3 takes place before the first game. While DMC4 takes place between the first and second game (along with the anime series).

Even though i had more fun playing DMC2 overall than DMC3, I think that I had MUCH more fun PLAYING THROUGH dmc3. its just that the fun didnt last long after I beat it. I enjoyed the extending difficulties of fighting the 60 secret rooms of DMC2. especially with the last room, having 7 "The Despair Embodied" all with devil trigger. However I still have not been able to beat that room... I still think I place DMC3 and DMC2 equal only because of DMC2's replay value. Just my opinion here. :D

The enemy design and boss design (BESIDES ARGOSAX THE CHAOS. D:<) was great, but one of the worst parts is with the bosses is that they really let you down. Like fighting Nefascurris, they had this badass cutscene of the building being torn apart coming to life, yet the boss wasnt really too difficult. Its difficult if you mean you cant just stand there and attack it, but It's attacks had alot of flaws. You could stand back and shoot at at until he dies. And "The Despair Embodied" was way too ez

BUT Devil may cry 2 has alot of flaws. like the fact that on NORMAL difficulty mode, enemies would rather stand around you rather than attack you. However that becomes much more different in Dante Must Die mode. and slightly different in normal mode. What mostly pissed me off was how they tried to make dante seem like this totally badass guy who didnt care at all for anything. "Now with the arcanas we can end this once and for all!" (Lucia) "Whatever." (Dante).

You can kill the last boss with Ebony and Ivory easily. No need to use Swords at all. Other than that level design was so bad, easy enemies, dull characters and lame gameplay.

Nobody likes it too easy. There must be enemies that are very challenging. Otherwise, people will lose interest to it. This is what they mean by lame. Fighting an enemy that stands still is just no fun.

It's not like a game that's too hard (not that DMC2 is haha) isn't not fun either though. I'd rather play a too easy game and quit out of boredom than play a too hard game and wreck my house out of rage.

Maybe you're right about one thing. But I prefer challenges that give me adrenaline. There are times when you need to take a risk. Some say "no risk, no reward". But thats not always true though.

dante is meant to be a "cowboy joker" to poke out his opposite side with his brother vergil, vergil is dead serious and dante is well...the opposite, couldnt care less about anything and has fun killing demons. but anyway nearly every1 (including me) agrees that dmc2 is THE worst dmc game ever, because of gameplay, lack of style, cheezy enemies, lame bosses(argosax is a blob that contains all other bosses and can be beaten with e&i only...seriously?) and totally out of the storyline ofdmc games.

Its still a devil may cry game. and I thought it kicked ass, because it still is a dmc game. If i HAD to choose which dmc i had the least fun with, Id have to say DMC3 actually. (Even though it had alot of improvements, It didnt have any replay value to me because it was so much easier to get orbs and upgrade your stuff+ the fact that there was a hell of alot more challenge in Dante Must Die mode, in DMC3 after you beat it you dont have much more difficult in the so-call harder difficulties)

DMC 2 had a very cool ending but DMC 4 ending beats this one hands down. As far as game play and Story 3 had the best plus it was just funny to watch Dante act like an ass to everyone.

actually know. according to popular belief and i beleive a couple of inside people. dmc 3 was the a prequal to all dmcs, dmc 1 happened after than dmc 4 and dmc 2 into the distant future hence why dante is so f'n mature and quiet in this game. i beleive this theory cause its the most one that makes sense.

Yes DMC 3 is before all the other DMC games, but Dante lost his brother in DMC 3, because he was trapped in the underworld.
Also, maybe Dante is so silent in DMC 2 because they didn't have any good Japanese Voice actor for him so they made him as silent as possible? :P I Dunno

Worst game in the series, yet an incredibly hard final boss. This guy pissed me the fuck off, and did the damage to boot. Incredible work on The Despair Embodied though. Loved the way he looked. This game had no story line or plot, and it was just too time consuming.

DMC3 is when hes fairly young. In a time line its suppose to come first. DMC1 then DMC2 follow there after with an adult Dante. Finally DMC4 he is meant to be much older so hes starting to show. Guess Trish's home cooking is the fatness in his cheeks.
