  • hits like me.... ;)

  • This is great footage thanks for the upload. I'm trying to emulate his technique and it's working for me, this video is a good reference point.

  • Josh Hamilton and Mickey Mantle are both one of the Greatest all time hitters in Baseball, Josh Hamilton may hit Home-runs about every game, but Mickey Mantle was just Amazing with his strength, his farthest ball ever hit was estimated to go at-least 734 feet, but even before that ball he has hit a ball 656 out of the stadium and others that were in the 600's. Both players will always be known as the top 20 baseball players in History, I wish there were batting videos of Mickey on YouTube.

  • @Giveneg wtf are you talking about? no one hit a ball 600 feet. ever

  • @Giveneg Lol, Look up Mickey Mantles top 10 Homeruns on google. they give you the exact location how far it went, what stadium when it was.

  • @Giveneg that was using a stupid calculation. if a ball hits something people make up dumb calculations of how far it wouldve gone. Theres no way to tell whatt angle the balll was at, if it was at its apex, if it had enough momentum to continue at that speed and numerous other things. No one ever hit a ball 734 feet.

  • @lfarina21 Its hard to believe yes, but Mickey Mantle is very strong, He worked in the coal mines for a couple of years, he gained his strength there, he had hit balls that were 600ft+ and they all hit the ground, Eventually Mickey Mantle hit a fast ball out of the park, and the question wasn't if it was a home-run or not, it was that if it would be the first ball ever in baseball history to be hit out of Yankee Stadium, sadly it hit the facade and scientist calculated it would've going 734 ft.

  • @Giveneg then what explination do you have for no one besides that dumb website you saw that on ever having heard on any of these homeruns? and why has no one else ever came close?

  • @lfarina21 It was very long ago, it was when Mickey mantle was playing the Majors which was around 80 YEARS ago? I guess that back then was a better efficient way to train and work out, because today almost EVERYONE relies on Weights, Bench Press, and Machines.. I said it before, MICKEY MANTLE WORKED in the COAL MINES STARTING AT AGE 9! that's how he built up his muscle and hit so far.

  • @Giveneg okay first of all mantle played 50 years ago. Second. I DONT CARE WHERE HE WORKED. No one hit a ball 730 feet ever. Barry bonds Mark Mcgwire sammy sosa A-rod? they were all hoped up on steroids. The furthest out of that group was McGwires 545 footer. so your telling me that Mantle was that much stronger than anyone else in the game? Mantle is the best switch hitter ever and one of the best all around guys who ever played. But he NEVER hit a ball 700 feet. No one did.

  • @lfarina21 HE NEVER HIT A 700FT+ BALL but hit one so far it hit the facade in yankee stadium, SCIENTIST CALCULATED IT WOULD GO 734FT, but even before that he has hit balls that went 650 ft, and they actually went out of stadiums into the parking lots.

  • ese tipo en un fuerte batiando

  • DAMN HAMILTONs A BEAST!!!!!!

  • @officialTexasRanger - hes not rlly a role model counting he did drugs and has tons of tatoos

  • @Tonkazilla ikr hahahah

  • the ball sounds different off his bat

  • what a stud

  • @corymazz tottaly agreed friend! he reminds me of brice harper

  • i really hope he doesn't relapse... in high school he hit a 621 foot homerun :o no lie... but that's with aluminum so not as hard to hit as wood

  • are you saying that 621 with metal isnt that good? and i doubt he hit it 621 in high school

  • hell no but it is only about 550 feet when you convert it to wood... now Mickey Mantle hit a 635 foot homerun with a wood bat... that is something to talk about

  • ok well not everyone is a freak like mickey mantle

  • true :/

  • Nobody in the history if the world has ever hit a ball 600 feet with any type of bat. Whoever told you that is lying. The farthest actual home run in MLB history is probably around 550.

  • @soxpatsicecream7 Thats Not True dude. 737 Feet is how far Mickey Mantles Hardest hit ball was estimated to go.

He hit a Line Drive off the Facade on the Third deck (so the Roof over the Third Deck seats) at Yankee Stadium and it had so much Momentum on it that it bounced back off that and into the infield...

  • @VikingSkills7 Never. You're telling me that Josh Hamilton got absolutely all of a ball during the home run derby and it went 518, and Mantle hit one over 200 feet farther. That never happened.

  • @soxpatsicecream7 Well, Thats Funny Nobody ever Doubted his Story in this Vid. But Saying something didnt happen if you never expd it is kinda ignorant. watch this Vid and youll see. Type in "Mickey Mantle The Hardest Ball I ever Hit".

Youll see he said basically everything I said in my Comment before.

Also I have nothing against Hamilton, Hes prob my Fave Player on the Rangers. But, what Mickey Did is taking NOTHING away from Josh. Both are/were Excellent Ballplayers.

  • @soxpatsicecream7 Ever heard of a guy named Mickey Mantle?

  • Josh Hamilton has his urine tested every 3 days. If he was on steroids, we'd know. lol

  • Josh Hamilton is a hero and role model!

  • Josh Hamilton won't even take pain killers for an injury

  • steroids seriously dude come on

he over came a drug addiction

    hes 100% clean now

  • steroids!

  • yo this guy freakin rakes every single pitch he sees BEAST

  • ur al mvp for 2009
