She has a horrid chronic pain disease called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. it is a nerve pain disease and I have it my nerves are sending pain signals to my brain even though my injury healed itself years ago. It feels like someone drained my blood replaced it with lighter fluid lit it on fire wrapped it w barbed wire and placed it all on a BBQ grill. The medical world doesn't know what causes it and they have very few treatments that help in anyway.

There's a big difference between natcotic pain meds like Vicodin and Percocet, which is what Paula's been on for years, and non-narcotic medication like what you're referring to. I do speak from experience about Vicodin, as I took it for a herniated disk. Why do you think doctors are reluctant to prescribe narcotics for pain? Because people like the high, and then they get hooked.
