  • @IslamicFarming4 how so?

  • George Galloway = LEGEND

  • Personally, I don't care for these veils, but he's right: it's none of my business. I can`t speak for politics in the UK or the continental Europe, but in Canada, our conservatives slash & burn programs that would help victims of violent crime even as they claim to be oh-so concerned about possible victims of abuse in Muslim homes... and too many liberals let them. I`m ashamed to admit I fell for some of it, esp. when secular muslims deplored the veils, but no more.

  • Don't get yourselves fooled by the poison & slandering deliberately spiked by the organized Islam-haters.

  • George Galloway - a very dangerous man.

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS obviously not as dangerous as bush and blair were, though.

  • dis guy is a legend

  • Can't blame the bloke for representing the people who elected him, i.e. Muslims. He know's which side his bread's buttered on.

The term "useful idiot" springs to mind. (See wiki for definition.)

  • @MrSonicAdvance We don't have to see wiki for the definition. Just looking at your profile is very definitive.

  • what a hypocrite.

he says that if a country tells its people how to dress its not free.

but when he was asked about iran he says its a free country, even though all women (including tourists) are forced to dress in islamic fashion

  • all women in iran are religous

so it makes sense all of them dress that way, hence the free part

  • look, if you walk naked in America, you will be arrested. Does that mean it's ot a free country ? We should respect their culture and understand it. To them a woman not wearing the veil, is as offensive as a woman walking down the streets in no clothes and no underwear. That's their culture, let's respect that.

  • those countries force people to dress certain way doesn't mean we should follow. Many of those countries are also dictatorship and I don't believe we should follow.

  • @nghivu yes there are a few countries that force people to dress a certain way like the saudi. But not all muslim countries like pakistan, somaliland, indonesia. Somaliland don't have the sha'ria law and the women aren't forced to wear a hijab, or a burka but they do it of free will. Is somaliland a dictatorship no their democratic a lot of women vote, and work in jobs like the police, hospitals, military and etc. and no one apart from extremists are saying to follow its just the media saying it

  • they are free in iran because that is how they vote. theres no country on earth where everyone is free to do whatever they please thats called anarchy. but when the majority of voters get their way, that is democracy and freedom at its finest.

  • not when all the candidates are first chosen by the Mullahs

  • well all of the candidates in the democratic and republican parties are first chosen by AIPAC

  • if they chose to wear it then it is freedom

  • gallaway is a national hero, we love you george

  • it onli hamrs sumone else if dey r stubborn and self obsessed and naked sexy da dus not represent freedom !!!

  • This avi07 is a zionist that comments on every video of Galloway, his comments are copy & paste, he is simply a propagandist.. ignore him

  • My wife wears Hijab (by here choice) and every time she goes out shopping people look down at her. She came home upset because people were looking at her in unfriendly way. Talking of democracy, heh.

  • Don't blame democracy for people being arseholes. Democracy does work, sadly people can and will always be hateful to each other.

  • Democracy is relative. In the West we have a *capitalist* democracy built on profit and lying politicians. I think it's perfectly reasonable to criticise that as a system.

  • It is; just don't expect everyone to care ;)

  • I don't, I just expect everyone progressive to care. It's funny how some people completely disregard history and think that the current system is "working" and is as good as it gets.

The system is flawed, if anything the recent financial crisis showed it.

And the hating DOES have a lot to do with the current system. For example, one of the causes of hate is the unequal distribution of wealth.

I think it's time for some *real* democracy.

  • Define 'real' democracy, because if it involves "revolution" then count the sane out.

  • A system where elections are not simply a chance for citizens to decide who among the ruling class will misrepresent them in parliament.

Anyway, as I said, I expect progressive people to care, not reactionaries with complete ("insane" you might say) disregard for the past and its numerous revolutions.

  • Sounds like you think the right to vote is a bad thing; I sincerely hope I am wrong in this assumption.

  • I am Muslim. I see how people look at me here(in America)..some actually seem to seeth with rage at just the sight of me. They don't even speak to me,just look at me like they want to kill me. And then I also meet nice people who seem to go out of their way to be kind to me. Mostly though,it is the former rather than the latter. Sad for them. Me? I'm usually happy all the time. Peace in my heart give's me that thank God.

  • As a Catholic, I find the Islamophobia in America disgusting. Just look at what they are trying to smear Obama with.

It doesnt even matter that his father didnt raise him, he was a Muslim, so therefore Obama was AND STILL IS a Muslim. It is sad and sickening. I can only hope the bigots hang their heads in shame when Obama gives his victory speech in November.

Also, remember the Arabphobia there was when Dubai Ports World wanted to buy those 6 ports?

America can really be full of herself.

  • Just wondering something, you identify as a Catholic, and from your tone probably a liberal. Where in the Arab/Muslim world can a woman: wear a thong, get an abortion or go drinking with her best gay friend? Everything the left loves, the Muslim World finds repugnant.

  • You also forgot to mention sex with transsexuals.

All kidding aside I am acutally a libertarian. The right is run by Jesus freaks. I see no difference between Bush and Nasrallah. On social issues I am in Hillary's corner, on economics I am in Ron Paul's.

  • I agree in part about the right being controlled by Jesus Freaks. More accurately, it is controlled by godless Capitalists who could care less about homos and abortion, but they see these as issues that bring white ethnic Catholics and ignorant born agains to the polls. What I find even funnier is the fact that xians and godless Jews from Eastern Europe (Israelis) have formed an alliance-while on the left godless liberals and "pious" muslims (palestinians) have made a bed together.

  • Dubai, Turkey, Egypt, qatar....

  • Really? That's news to me. So there are abortion clinics, gay bars and women walking around in thongs openly in these nations?

  • U must be the biggest murderrer if you support abortion clinics...Its pitty how you corrupt animals like u look for things to satisfy your own disgusting need. ..isn't it? What are you? u seem very insecure and empty.. don't u have no shame? what religion do u follow, if you have one..It will be much easier to beat u

  • From your profile, it would seem that you are a Brit of East Indian background that is Muslim. I can see why you would support the Palestininians, but I can't see how white liberals support the Palestinians.

  • magickmatt138 , Do you think catholic women wants show that they are wearing things and have abortions? You take pride is shameless acts and call it freedom?

  • I suppose your right. Women covered from head to toe with a Burqua now that's freedom!

  • well if its thier decision then it is freedom!

  • Galloway is the biggest hypocrite going! He believes Fidel Castro isn't a dictator yet Amnesty International would prove otherwise.

  • Well if Amnesty International is arbiter then the worst war criminals would be Bush and Blair over 650,000 dead in Iraq alone.

  • and the ppl who provided him with the weapons and brought him to power

  • Fidel Castro's Cuba(along with Venezuela) sent few 100k$ of help after the Katrina hurricane.

He helpred America when americans have not only never helped Cuba they actually did almost everything in their power to harm him in the last 40 years. Ofc there are injusticies in Cuba but do you think are no injusticies in US, UK, France or whenever alone the globe ? I mean ex- vicepresident of US signed petition AGAINST Nelson Mandela's release, and supported apartheid.

  • Turbans? your stupidity knows no bounds Andyrfc86. Wassim88, you're talking shit dude, sorry. The majority of women are raped in their own home by someone they know - stop blaming women, its the men who rape that are responsible for their actions not their victims.

  • so let me get this straight , you are trying to sat that the feedom to dress how you want is a problem because they are being hidden and that bombs are being hidden below their turbans , well that is funny cause the last time I checked catholics and protestants in Northern Ireland were bombing each other and they dont wear turbans. I dont support suicide bonbing but the Question you should ask is what would push someone to do something like that?

  • well said galloway! dont agree with the gay part, but agree 100% with the rest!

  • Good job once again Mr. Galloway.

  • A beautiful speach. I speak as an atheist. Well done Galloway.

  • maybe because you haven't invaded any Gay countries.

  • but gay men give millions of people deadly diseases. If a suiside bomber is a walking bomb then the gay man could be a walking disease. Adulterers also have the same problem and other problems, and if you dont know that then you are too stupid to be watching this. Western women get assulted and raped for going out half naked in the streets.

  • the vast majority of gay men do not have STDs

  • .... yet but if it is indeed a plague sent by god it'll go that way

  • Is it me or does old George look like a bearded Dean Sullivan, aka Jimmy Corkhill from Brookside. No doubt his rhetoric is the same too.

  • all the liars get a clue, re-evaluate. YOU the man Galloway!!

  • Hear hear! Freedom is for everyone, not for the 'us'. It's '1984' again.

  • Thanks for this video. I seen this live on sky and was incredibly moved. We need more people like George in these f-up times. Great Thanks again.

  • beautiful speech

  • Once again, george exposes the true reasons why this government is attacking muslims and islam

  • well done man... you are my hero
